The park was clean and well laid out with full hookups. I was disappointed that the sandwich shop was closed. When I asked, I was told that it didn't open at all this year. The cost for the cave tour was $24.99 per person so we skipped that and walked the Cave Hollow Trail instead. It is very steep! The provided wi-fi was intermittent. There is a cute shop at the cave entrance with trinkets and souvenirs but not much for snacks. The attendant was happy to give us the names of a couple nearby restaurants that delivered. The park is a few miles from Hannibal proper.

The lady at check in (girl-smile) was very nice. They have a cave tour which we did not do. The D section pull trough is very uneven and hard to level. The F sites cost more but even back in. We had to move to F. Just chilled as arrived late in the afternoon. Had no cell service but park Wi-Fi. That went in and out.

We stayed at this campground 20 years ago with our kids. We were passing through the area again so decided to see if it's still as awesome as I remember -- and it is.

This is a nice campground by the Mark Twain Cave. The sites are spacious with nice big fire rings. The sites are gravel and are semi level but still need leveling. It was quiet and peaceful, a good nights rest passing through. The grounds are fairly tidy but could use some clean up. We had a nice corn hole area across from our site. Very easy to get to with GPS.

This is a nice campground surrounded by great trees and lots of shade. There was a lot of evidence of work done to improve muddy conditions. We saw crews putting down new gravel to improve the sites. Ours was fairly level. The campground has some lovely huge trees which provide lots of shade. It is within short distance of historic Hannibal the birthplace of Mark Twain with great views of the Mississippi River. Main Street in Hannibal is a bit touristy but worth a visit. We happened to be here on a summer Saturday and found some very nice produce at the farmer's market.

They put us in the new section. However, the sites are suffering from sinking and are not very level and it took many tries with the levelers and moving the rig back and forth before we had something near to level. The owner did come by and told us they know about the problem and have been adding truck loads of gravel to fix it. Several of the new sites were blocked off because of the slope. Be aware that there is no Verizon nor T-Mobile cell service and while we were there, the campground was experiencing a major issue with the WIFI. It would randomly and frequently disconnect. We drove to Lovers Leap to get online so we could make subsequent reservations for our trip. Other than the above, the campground is very friendly and I would go again, but I advise that for the short term do not book the new sites. The older one appear nicely level and somewhat shaded.

We enjoyed our stay at Mark Twain Cave campground. The sites were level and large. Lots of grass and open space. Very quiet. No wifi and Verizon was spotty. We really enjoyed the town of Hannibal. The Mark Twain museum complex is great as well as the shops on Main Street. Also some nice walking trails nearby. Lots of birds.

We met friends and had a very nice stay. Was surprised that we had NO cell service on Verizon and T-Mobile until we left the park heading to town. The Cave was a nice attraction. There was a lot of evidence of grounds improvements in progress. Our sites were not as level as I would have expected. Sites had no grass and were only gravel. This was a $35 location rather than $45....

We stayed here one night on our way back to Minnesota from Florida. We booked it due to location on this leg on the trip, and the positive reviews we had read. It looks like a newer campground, and they are continuing to work on it. The facilities are new, and look really nice. We were here “off season,” and the campground was not very busy. We had a nice meal at a brewery in town Mark Twain Brewery, of course). The town is interesting, with a pretty clear separation between the “old” and “new” parts. It was a little tricky making the turn into the campground from the road; a pretty sharp turn right after a bridge, with not-too-good signage. If we hadn’t been tracking with our GPS, I think we would have driven past. Our site was not very level.

We were here 4 nights and while it rained most of the time, it was peaceful and quiet. We had a back on site that was easy to locate and level. Bathhouse was OK but the lens side was not cleaned often. The laundry room was nice. WIFI was pretty good except during the storms (which even then I was kind of impressed with the connection). I have Verizon and had almost no service at our site. We visited the winery on the property and I’m not much of a wine person but the Wine Slushies are absolutely great!

We had entire park all to ourselves, Cannot wait to go back in the spring or summer to visit again looks like a very exciting lots of cool stuff to do in town and around with two caves available we did the tour on the one cave was very nice never knew it was even Mark Twain‘s home when we went there we will certainly be back the new owners are very friendly and inviting For some reason there was plenty of Wi-Fi available during the day however when it got dark out everything shut off although the monitors and extenders were on our Internet and signal was gone

There are a lot of campers, but, access was okay even with our 40 ft. Trailer in a back-in spot. Beautiful clear stream below our spot. Some room to walk the dog. Washers and dryers are 2.25. I had no quarters. History and activities.galore. Showers, playground, Nice management.

Check-In was easy. Staff was super flexible. I needed to extend my stay and they worked with me to make sure I'd have the spot I wanted. I needed an Amazon delivery and the staff was very helpful in arranging it. The on-site winery has tastings, by the glass and by-the-bottle purchases of Missouri wines at reasonable prices. Again, the staff was cheerful and very helpful in helping customers select wines that were palate-pleasing for each customer's taste. A little more crowded than I'd hoped, but the rates are fair for such tight quarters. There are a large number of WiFi hotspots scattered throughout the park, but still the WiFi experience is poor. This is an issue because on our AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon phones we had zero bars. (Think about it: the campground in literally in a "hollow." There are no cell antennas!) But the WiFi in the winery, the sandwich shop, and the gift shop is more than adequate for email and light work.

Gravel site very unlevel, we ran out of blocks attempting to level it out. We were told it was the last site although we saw other sites still open, they put our 37’ TT in the tiniest site. We made it work. The picnic tables had nails sticking out. AT&T coverage spotty 2 bars but couldn’t get a signal. Electric and water only. Dump station on the way out. Laundry facilities available but were overpriced. We enjoyed the cave tour (additional $78 for our family of 4), walking in the stream on site, watching fireflies, and driving a mile down the road to see Lover’s Leap. We loved the history of the town and how it all ties Mark Twain / Tom Sawyer and the caves all together. Would stay again, but definitely in a different site.
