The camping site boasted a well-maintained asphalt path, with a large area dedicated to tent camping and numerous RV spots. Our RV was conveniently located directly opposite the swimming pool. Although the site was relatively flat, it had a significant incline, necessitating a 13.5" block at the RV's front. This camp serves as an excellent base for venturing into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A complimentary bus service to the town and park operates at regular intervals. Interestingly, their recently built bathhouse requires payment for showers. The laundry service was somewhat pricey, costing $16.50 for three loads.

Their campsite is a fantastic blend of all kinds of camping enthusiasts, ranging from large recreational vehicles to solitary tent campers and everything else in between. The camping spots are well-maintained and tidy, as are the bathroom and shower facilities. The Island Explorer bus has numerous daily stops here, providing access to the entirety of MDI. It's my belief that they're among the few remaining family-run campsites on the island, and their primary focus is customer satisfaction.

During the initial days of October 2022, we spent four nights at this location. We had made our booking online, although it was challenging to envision the actual appearance of the sites. However, our main purpose wasn't camping, but rather to rendezvous with my sibling and visit Acadia. A friendly gentleman in a golf cart guided us to our spot, which was a relief considering it initially seemed like a maze. After several walks with my dog, I managed to get the lay of the land. Our site had both electricity and water (even though $52 seemed steep, it's to be expected in Maine) and we were fortunate to have pleasant neighbors. The sites were closely packed and lacked clear demarcation - we simply parked on the grass. The so-called "firepit" was merely a ring placed in front of our site. A dump station was available on the exit route. The laundry service was pricey - around $4 per load, so we opted out. There were some impressive tent sites. The best part was the free shuttle bus stop located right within the campground! That was a fantastic benefit!

Stayed here in Sept 2021. Catching up on reviews. Site type: Pull-through, full hookup, 50 AMP. THE GOOD Location: Close to gas, restaurants, diners, and groceries. Really quiet family campground. Just 10 minutes from Acadia National Park entrance. Site: Decent grass sites. Slightly unlevel but fairly spacious. Facilities: Laundry and amenities were clean and functioning. Cell service: It was a year ago so I don't remember the cell service.

Sites are nicely spaced. Our site would be great in the summer given the amount of shade. Restrooms and showers are basic and clean. We were surprised though that we had to pay for the showers - $0.50 for 7 minutes. WI-FI fairly strong at our site. Very convenient to the NP entrance and Bar Harbor. We will stay here again if we return to this area of Maine.

Lots of space in between sites. E & W only but they do have a honey wagon for $15. Internet here at our spot was really good, like 50 mb/s. Verizon and AT&T still got signal but we gave those a break and opted for the campground WIFI for a change. They are pretty strict about the 5MPH thing but at the same time the shuttles and work staff speed through here pretty fast. Lots of grandstanding and virtue signaling. Front office staff was nice. Great proximity to Bar Harbor to explore Acadia National Park. Be sure to make the one hour drive out to Nervous Nellies for an unforgettable experience.

We camped in a 19' travel trailer. Hadley’s Point Campground is in a good location for getting around Acadia National Park. We stayed on site B-27. It was gravel and pretty level. We did have to level from side to side a bit. This is a wooded campground. It was sunny in the morning, shady in the evening. This is a nice wide site, backed up to trees. There were tent campers behind us that we could hear but not really see. We were across from a restroom, not a shower. The showers were still within walking distance up by the Camp Office. Restrooms and Showers were rustic but modern and kept clean. The showers are 50 cents for 7 minutes. They were hot right away and stayed hot even with others in use. It was plenty of time for a nice shower. The campground was very quiet after 9:30 pm and no street lights so it was also dark. Great for sleeping. The check in was very efficient and friendly. We originally were going to stay 2 days in Camden State Park on our way to Acadia; however, the state park called us on our way there to say that they had an infestation of brown moth caterpillars whose hairs are poisonous and cause hives that can last from days to weeks and also respiratory problems in some folks. They advised us to make other plans. We very much appreciated the heads up. We decided to go straight to Acadia. We were fortunate in that Hadley’s Point Campground had our reserved site, B27 open and available. We were glad to have the 2 extra days at Acadia. Although there was no cell service, the campground WIFI worked great at our site.
