Tube n Axe Backpackers Lodge is is located in the main street of the quaint Storms River Village that forms the epicentre of attractions and activities in Tsitsikamma. Tube n Axe Backpackers Lodge is by far the largest and vibiest hostel in Storms River. The lodge has facilities and staff to accommodate 70 guests at any given time. They also operate the only licensed shuttle service in the Tsitsikamma area that is available to all visitors to Tsitsikamma and Storms River. Guests receive special in house rates for our shuttling services as well as priority on routes. Back Backer: Tube n Axe Backpackers Lodge offers the widest range of convenient backpacker accommodation from shared private rooms to dormitory bunks. Our clean and cosy private rooms are ideal for small groups of friends looking to partake in a social atmosphere while maintaining their privacy. Rates include linen, duvets, throws, pillows, scatter cushions and towels. The dormitories are ideal for single travellers looking to save some cash on their bed night while keeping their valuables safe. Camping: Tube n Axe Backpackers Lodge boasts a huge immaculate indigenous garden sculpted to provide secluded Storms River Camping for those who love the outdoors. The hostel has a number of braai sites and a well stocked self catering kitchen. Storms River Camping has a regular supply of Karroo meats that make for delicious braai pack available from our reception. Our breakfasts range in price and vary from a Continental buffet to all hot breakfasts. Our lunch menu range is a la carte and includes delicious dishes such as roast chicken, spinach and feta wraps to beefy burgers or fish and chips with all sandwiches, salads and drinks made to order. Also available on our lunch menu is our famous Tubing Braai. Black Water tubing trips are run all year round and the experience varies from a white water action-packed roller coaster ride (max grade two rapids) to a chilled day out in mother nature with optional tube jumps.
