An older campground that has kept up with the times. Plenty of activities all day long, community fire at night along with a movie. Sraff was helpful and friendly. Good food and breweries near by

Second time here. Lots of rain before we arrived so a good deal of mud. Decent back in full hook up spot. Could have been a bit cleaner, fire pit full of trash. Table cloth still on picnic table. We love this place for the proximity to Minnewaska state park preserve and its carriage trails for bike riding. Also, the Westwind Cidery is awesome. Both very close. Plus lots of rail trails. Seems to be a lot of kids and there was a DJ on Saturday night until 11pm if that's your thing. We stay for the location more than the campground. Oh, and if you're a campfire lover, you can get quite a bit for $40 at Standing Rock farms about ten minutes away. Cheers!

Spent two nights here in late August of 2021. The campsites all have fire pits with grills and picnic tables. There's a full time campsite host, showers, bathrooms, and a trash room. Pros: - some of the sites are right by a stream, and all of them have plenty of shade. - campsite was clean and well maintained - campsite hosts were friendly and helpful - tons of nice hiking trails nearby - restrooms were clean Cons: - some of the sites are pretty close together. Our "neighbors" both nights were pretty quiet, but if they weren't, it could have been noisy. - while the bathrooms were clean, the showers definitely weren't. Bring you shower sandals! - It can get a little busy on the weekends, so worth reserving in advance. We were camping in a VW Westfalia, so we had no trouble getting in and out. Something bigger might have a problem with some of these sites. They're definitely intended to be tent sites.

We camp here frequently. It has a classic campground feel and has lots of activities and amenities for kids. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

Ya know... I kinda enjoyed being unplugged. And really didn’t mind zero hookup. I guess if we were there a long time, it would become a problem, but it forced my teenagers and I to stay outside, talk, nap, cook, bike, and wade in the stream to cool off instead of retreat to our air conditioning. The bathrooms were fine. Loved the garbage/recycling/dishwashing building. Convenient fresh water spigots. The size of sites varies wildly. Our site 18 was huge and on the creek. If you’re looking for a great activity with older kids...my husband had a great idea... it’s all downhill to the town of Phoenicia. He and the kids biked/coasted into town and I followed soon after with the truck and bike rack... the next day we switched. Great activity and beautiful scenery!!!

Campground Name: Rondout Valley RV Campground Location: Accord, NY Overall Campground Rating (1-5): 3 Maneuverability*: Most of the spots were fine but some of the spots back in the woods would be pretty tight. Campground Notes: Very friendly staff. A few groups of very noisy campers who thought the RV park was their personal nightclub a couple nights, mostly weekends. They did turn it down after 11pm but you could hear their music on the other side of the campground from their site. Site #: 33 Site Rating (1-5): 3 Site Notes: Water, 50-amp electric, & sewer grass/gravel site with picnic table and fire ring. Amenity Rating (1-5): 4 Amenity Notes: Mini-golf unplayable and bounce pad on map but not actually there. Pool was nice, fishing pond, decent playground especially for smaller kids, large pavilion with activities for kids and gatherings like the pig roast. Reason for camping here: Just visiting beautiful upstate New York Miscellaneous Notes: Lots of beautiful State parks, like Minnewaska, with beautiful mountain scenery. All the stores you need about 30 minutes away in Kingston or New Paltz. There is a Walmart about 10 minutes from the campground. We also visited a cool waterpark called Zoom Flume which was about an hour away. Great pierogi right down the street from the campground. Kids will love Kelder’s Farm. Dates Stayed: 8/15/2021 – 8/29/2021 Price Paid: $0 with Thousand Trails membership Weather: Hot – mid 80s to 90s, humid, almost daily thunderstorms, Hurricane Henri Verizon Cell Quality: 4 bars but very slow – 4 Mb/s down & up, a couple times it was unusable during the day T-Mobile/Sprint Cell Quality: 3 bars but very slow, slightly better than Verizon 8Mb/s down & 3Mb/s up, a couple times it was unusable during the day Mail: We had Amazon & FedEx packages delivered to office. They also will collect outgoing letters. For reference we are pulling a 33’ long Jayco travel trailer with a 2016 F350 Crew Cab Short Bed 4x4 which is 22’ with hitch giving us a total length of 55’. For hotspot data we have an Inseego 8800L on Verizon’s expired prepaid unlimited hotspot plan. For Sprint/T-Mobile, we use an Alcatel Linkzone 2 on Calyx Institute’s unlimited plan. Pros: campground hosts were fantastic. They were concerned that we might not be able to get our rig into our reserved site so offered us other options. We decided to forge ahead and keep our original site but thoroughly appreciated their helpful concern. A powerful thunderstorm knocked out power and water. CG hosts made arrangements at a sister campground for all of us to use their showers if we wanted. Lots of wildlife wandering through the CG made the stay that much more special. And access to some of the most beautiful peaks in the Catskills right from our site was awesome. Cons: water system is outdated and in need of upgrade. Three days into our stay, CG hosts came around and put signs on all the water spigots indicating that the water was not considered potable until the State of NY could test it and also make any necessary repairs/upgrades to the system. For this reason only, I'm giving 4 stars. Not in criticism of the campground itself or the hosts...but rather for the state apparently not entirely having its act together. Absolutely no cell coverage whatsoever. Had to drive several miles out of town to use phone if necessary. Or climb one of the mountains HAHA!

Have stayed here multiple times with decent results. Prior to this visit we had an incident where our daughter (8) was ganged up on and hit with branches by 4 young boys who then proceeded to follow her home as she cried. We confronted the issue and thought it was resolved. On our return trip 3 weeks later we again encountered group bullying and thought that was the biggest problem. We were very wrong. At approx 10:25pm on July 17th I was in the women’s room taking a shower. No one else was there until I saw a pair or shoes quietly enter the bathroom stall right beside me. I didn’t think anything of it and went about my shower, thankful for the time alone after a long busy day with kids. After 2 or 3 minutes I noticed a camera under my stall recording me. I screamed hysterically and thankfully scared them off. The police were called and staff immediately notified. I can not say that the initial response was poor at all, they jumped right into action and showed concern. With only a description of the shoes there was little to do on but with 2 cameras in the passageway outside we had hope there would be something more to go on. No such luck as they are only live stream, virtually useless. The next day, still upset, I approached the office to see what they were Doing, what would be done to prevent this from hppening again (or worse). The manager, Crystal, was as snotty and condescending as they come, her only answer was “we’re not required to have cameras on the grounds “. Absolutely beyond frustrated and still sick to my stomach I DARED to “talk over her” and was told to get out of her office. I warned women and children, added flyers in the bathrooms to tell women to be on guard. They were promptly removed. I received a call from a higher up and was first told that the staff felt attacked by me. The victim victimized the staff by demanding someone answer what was going to be done. Then they asked what I wanted them to do to improve the safety of the place. Me? Unmm put up Cameras that actually record instead of live stream. Add more security. Inform (don’t sweep under the rug) women and children that a potential predator is on the loose, don’t remove the only warning they have. Etc. Add some compassionate training to the management. Disgusted and angry beyond belief. Would never recommend visiting if you’re a woman or child.

Pros: Pet friendly policy - we brought our 4 toy dogs - any park allows us to bring all of our dogs scores high in our books. We enjoyed our site as it was right next to the creek so we camped to the sound of the water flowing down the creak all day and night. Good security as the staff patrolled the grounds every hour. The restrooms were clean and well maintained with toilet paper, working flushes, working sink, lights all worked. One of our favorite features of the campground are the fire pits/stoves - they are awesome, excellent for cooking and allows for efficient fires! We used the dumping station, the area around it was clean and tidy; there was no line (wonderful!) and found it to be easy to drive into and the water pressure was strong for the hose flush which was great! Cons: 1). The restrooms are small, only 2 stalls in the one closest to us so there was a line during the typical hours e.g. after breakfast, before checkout, before quiet time. 2) There are TONS, not exaggerating, TONS of bugs (midges, the tiny green bugs, mosquitoes, moths), bring lots of insect repellant and whatever ointment helps your insect bites afterwards. 3) The potable water spigot closest / next to our site was not working/shut off. Overall: We would definitely stay here again / keep this as an option in the Catskills.

We were just at the TT Rondout Valley RV Park in Accord, NY. Thousand trails member. Mostly a nice campground and lots of great things to do nearby (hiking, biking both at Minnewaska State Park, cider, wine and whisky!). We were in a decent spot #16 right next to a creek, full hook-up. Sunny from 10am-2pm, then shade. Creek view from near the back of the RV. This is where they seem to put many big rigs, which is fine. However, we stared right at the septic and 'backyard' from our neighbor. That is not uncommon as many of you know. What makes matters worse at this campground is that the 2 dump stations are literally across the street. So we were somewhat frequently treated to some interesting odors when someone would dump and even when an RV on our side of the street dumped into the onsite septic, the odor would basically come back across the street. Not the end of the world of course. But a weird placement to say the last for the dump stations and something folks should know going to Rondout. Other full hookup sites had other downsides, so this is a minor complaint to add to the comments here. Local cidery Westwind and brewery Arrowood within a mile away are both great!

Stayed here over Memorial day weekend. They had a DJ. And then again the following weekend. Lots of families. Good atmosphere. Water and 50 amp were good. They didn't have a sewer site for us so we got pumped out. First time they didn't charge (oversight I think) second time $10. Third time (not on their schedule i.e. emergency $20. Filled up with propane $3.50/gallon. Some pot holes but sites and lawns were well maintained.
