We got there on the Thursday preceding the long Memorial Day weekend. The recreational area was serene and not overly crowded, however, by Friday night it was entirely filled. We anticipated a bustling Memorial Day weekend so the crowd was expected. The noise curfew begins at 11, yet some individuals were still loudly conversing and blasting music past midnight. We reached out to the park's "custodian" to request them to lower the noise, which he did. The park is teeming with children and offers numerous activities for them. The park's cantina is impressive, and there's even an ice cream shop. If you're seeking a tranquil and less crowded spot, this park may not be suitable for you.

This location is utterly chaotic. Automobiles, children, dogs, and golf carts are omnipresent. The tranquility doesn't commence until 11 at night, and it seems all hell breaks loose prior to that. It appears as though individuals organized wild celebrations from dawn till dusk. Intoxicated individuals were spotted in the restrooms. The smell of marijuana lingered all day. It's puzzling how this place is promoted as a family-friendly camping site.

I always prefer this spot when I visit from Arizona. The employees are consistently helpful, and the RV locations nearer to the bay are superior. They're definitely worth the additional cost. As the saying goes, you get what you give. 😉 I'll definitely be back because there's a wealth of enjoyment and leisure activities to select from.

The personnel are amicable, the cafeteria serves tasty food and beverages... Campland offers various activities and events. Depending on your accommodation, restrooms are relatively nearby. It's a bustling, compact park filled with many visitors and campers. We desired a location nearer to the water, and they kindly accommodated us to our preferred spot. It was a bit of a tight fit but we managed. However, on our final evening, some campers played their music excessively loud with no regard for their neighbours. I overheard someone calling the reception to request intervention, but I'm uncertain if any action was taken. The park is packed with people, noisy music, numerous children running about, and plenty of dogs. Also, due to a sewage leak in Tijuana, it was unsafe to swim in the ocean.

The personnel were amicable. The areas are tight and congested. It's a fantastic spot for children to mingle with their peers, but be vigilant when maneuvering your vehicles - bicycles and skateboards are ubiquitous! Plenty of facilities, but generally overpriced. It's challenging to locate more affordable alternatives in such close proximity to San Diego's coastal areas, so it's a good option if you have children and want to be near the seaside - not so much if you're seeking solitude and tranquility. We could overhear our neighboring occupants' film and their nocturnal activities. A maximum of 2 dogs are permitted with an additional charge of $3 per dog, per day. A 10% discount is available for AAA members. Furthermore, we lodged at plot G2, positioned in zone F/E, which was perplexing to find, particularly in the dark.

Overpriced, overrun with kids, narrow lanes, ridiculously small spots that are nearly impossible to navigate into. The ONLY thing that it’s place has going for it is the location. It’s dirty, dusty, and poorly managed. Management and security do not enforce any of the rules. The lanes are narrow enough to begin with. To make it worse, people park in front of their rigs and block half the lane. The spot that I was put in was supposedly for a 50’ rig. Logistically, it would’ve been impossible to back in. Thankfully, when I arrived, the space behind me was open so I could pull through. Terrible park. Will NOT stay here again.

I read the other reviews, and I didn’t really want to believe it could it that bad. We were in J2. The site was half asphalt and half dirt. The dirt started right where the door to our trailer was at, so that was less than ideal. The sites are very narrow, like parking space narrow. There is some space at the rear of the site with a fire pit and picnic bench, but it was just more dirt where the was probably supposed to be grass, and it looked like there were small pieces of glass scattered in the dirt. That wasn’t good for little kids. Sunday through Thursday nights weren’t bad. Friday night, it became a zoo, like the other reviews said. We are supposed to be here until Sunday, but we are leaving early. Some neighbors earlier in the week smoked marijuana near our trailer and watched very loud movies outside, which was less than ideal. Another group was out having a birthday party and woke me up because they were so loud after 1:30am; again, not very ideal. The beach was awesome, the views are awesome, and the food at the cantina is awesome. But, the crowdedness, conduct of crowds, and small sites made it unbearable for my family to the point we decided to leave a day early. I would never stay in the J row again, and we are debating how/if we would return and try a different location and avoid the weekends.

Tents and children everywhere! Encroached on our site from both sides with tents. Dirty dirty dirty. Literally right on top of each other. Our canopy wouldn’t extend because your about 6 feet from the other space. Showers with no hot water and push valves that shutoff after 15 seconds. This place is a mess. We will Never come back. Wifi didn’t work and cellular showed 4 bars but cell service was a snail pace. Forget about streaming later in the evening when everyone is hogging bandwidth.

First thing we said to each other when pulling into this place on a Friday was "this place is a zoo". Kids on bikes and skateboards were everywhere. Loud music coming from several sites. We barely got our 41' fifth wheel into our spot that was said to accommodate a 50' rig. Actually, I scratched my truck on a fence post in the process. The lanes are narrow and windy and they have no enforcement of cars parking in the road. Obstacles everywhere you look, even the trees above. Looking at the egress path now has me worried for when we leave. I checked out Mission Bay RV park nearby and now wish we had stayed there.

We have a son at SDSU and this is our go-to place. The sites vary. We try to choose the ones that overlook the bay and they feel a little more vacay-ish and private. The park is kid and dog friendly. There is a well stocked store on site. Good line up of TV channels and the WiFi is fair (we have Verizon). We'll be back.

Too close together, too loud, basically a giant parking lot. Not my cup of tea.

This is a huge RV/tent park celebrating it's 50th. We had such a bad experience at Santa Fe RV "Resort" that when we left early and came to COB, they heard our story and upgraded us to a spot right on the bay. Wow. Rigs are close together, but being close to the water is very nice. If you have kids, you might want the A, B areas. If you want easier access to Mission Bay, try the L, M, N sections. Folks love to party here, so expect music and fires at night, even in the middle of the roadways. It does quiet down nicely after 10pm most times. Beautiful days on the beach, great for biking, walking, kayaking, etc. The security was very responsive to an offensive neighbor and their huge flag (you can guess). A San Diego landmark.
