I wish I could write a great review about this campground because we were looking forward to this particular trip because it was about an hour from our home. Entering the Playful Goose Campground was challenging because there is a small gravel road of a steep grade with two blind curves; the entrance road is barely two lanes. The road was far bumpier than I expected as the road had not been recently grated and there was significant water erosion in several sections. Hence, I felt as if were were driving on an unimproved road on a BLM site. During check-in we learned that there is an additional $3 dollar charge per day if you are going to run your air conditioner. Not unlike other campgrounds, we had to purchase their firewood, but they charged an extra $10 to deliver firewood that was not bundled, but rather just stacked. There is NO WiFI, so if you need to work from your campsite, you will be disappointed -- I was only able to get ONE BAR from Verizon LTE. The campsite itself was large but it was all grass -- no gravel. The water spigot was spewing water upon arrival and the pressure was higher than we are used to seeing (60psi -- thankfully we have a regulator to reduce the pressure). The electrical system's integrity was fine. The campground has a lot of rules -- closer examination of them suggest that perhaps the management is trying to rebrand the campground to discourage hard-core partiers from visiting. I must say that I appreciate the fact that the campground was quiet at night; no loud music or hard partying was observed. The property, overall, was not bad and has significant potential. Perhaps it is currently in a deteriorated state of what it once was? I don't know. Although the trees throughout the campground are significantly overgrown in many areas and need pruning, there are a couple of areas where it looks like a park. But the overall appearance of the property was rather trashy with the are several outbuildings throughout the campground along with old vehicles and other refuse that presented a trashy appearance; the seasonal sites added to this as there were some very old campers that looked as if they were mid-reconditioning, but were clearly neglected by their [pervious?] owners. By contrast, other seasonal sites had newer fifth wheels with raised decks, porches, decorative lights, flamingoes, palm tree decor, and other gaudy displays of RV park summer seasonal pageantry. Overall, the campground was a disappointment.

KIND
This campground was never relaxing, people cutting there grass all weekend long, dogs barking, seasonal people are not very nice and they could not even cut the grass before you get there. Also make sure when you make your reservations that you go, otherwise they will charge $15, I canceled mine a month and a half before I was supposed to go, like they are not rent that spot out in a month and a half. I think these people who own this campground are money hungry. My friends and I will never return to this campground ever again!
