We got there a couple of days prior to the Memorial Day weekend, in the early afternoon, when a lot of camping spots were still available. The campground was easy to navigate with ample space at each spot. By Thursday night, the place was packed with kids and tent campers, making it evident that it's a family-oriented campground. The area isn't particularly accommodating for large RVs, although a repurposed school bus was parked at site 16, which was the prime spot in the campground. Apart from tents, camper vans were a common sight. Our spot was number 29, which was fantastic. Each site had a good amount of shade and appeared to be even. Site 24 has a trail that leads to the main trail. The restrooms and hot showers were cleaned daily. There were no hookups, but a dump station was available at the entrance, and drinking water was provided. The payment kiosk is at campsite 15, with camping fees at $15 and day-use fees at $3. These rates are halved if you have an annual pass.

We were wonderfully surprised to find this gem. Beautiful park! We’ll maintained campground with water and hot showers for $15. Near Mountain View for supplies, restaurants, and shopping.

To get to Blanchard Spring the road in is good but you do have to drive through a creek. For this reason the campground closes when the water level gets high. Beautiful spot. You can hike without crossing the creek. Look for a trail going up the hill across from the bathroom. This will take you up to the main trail. The bathrooms have flush toilets and separate shower rooms that were heated. We were there on a Saturday in April and there were only 3 other campsites taken. There was no service on Verizon and T Mobile but we could get one bar on Verizon when we hiked up the hill.
