Wolf Lodge Campground & RV Park Coeur d'Alene, Idaho Our stay at the Wolf Lodge RV Park was very pleasant. We are pretty new at this, and it helped that one our first experiences made it easy. We made our reservations only a few days before our stay, so we had little choice of sites. Ours was a full hookup back-in, on concrete pads with a dry grassy area & picnic table. It backed up to a hill. There were no bbq/firepits, but the guest hosts started a community firepit each night. Our spot was close to bathrooms, showers, laundry and the office, which sold a few food items and ice. Wifi was marginal, which is our experience everywhere so far. A well-maintained dog park, with water, cleanup tools, and a covered seating area, was well-used. Kids have a little playground and a small hill with various wheeled toys to ride down on, and there is a horseshoe pit and other grownup-play facilities. A stream provides more family play. The entire park had a 50's-era small-town ambiance. Tent-camping spots, small cabins, pull-through sites for bigger rigs, a pavillion covering three picnic tables for group gatherings, a camp sink, vending machines, and other small touches make this a place to relax and enjoy your stay. Traffic is audible on the nearby I-90 freeway, but not loud enough to be disturbing to us. Overflow parking is very limited for additional vehicles and incur an extra charge that offset our Good Sam discount. Our guest-hosts, Allen and Jerri, kept everything immaculate and running smoothly, and were very accommodating. Coeur d'Alene, a large town, is 8 miles away, and sits on the same large lake. Small-city Spokane is another half-hour further. There are loads of free recreational activities nearby. Put this one on your vacation list.
