Marginal campground. I would recommend a day trip to the island or take a second ferry and tent camp on rock island. Save the ferry fee for bringing your car or camper over (not cheap) The access by bike to sites on island good, could be done from ferry landing. The management was responsive when we contacted them about some loud music. Great cell service with Google FI

Perfect spot for a quiet getaway. The sites are heavily shaded with lots of trees so you won’t feel crowded by other campers. The bathrooms could use a little upgrading but they were clean. No wi-fi but the library is nearby with public wi-fi.

A lot of space between campsites, big rigs are allowed and the Island is beautiful.

Love the spacious wooded sites! The owners are on-site and super accommodating. The swimming pond with inflatable slide was a hit with kids and adults alike. We also loved the horse sites and beautiful night skies!

Ok, I'll start by saying it has been years since I've been to Martha's Vineyard. I don't mean to draw any direct comparisons between the two other than them both being islands (albeit Washington Island is much small in size and population) but it has this special feeling of being apart since you can only get there by boat. And it is charming. Washington Island Campground is on the less populated Southeast section of the island and immediately looks inviting. Their website is nicely updated and I got a very inviting response when I called to check on availability. Situated on a small horse farm (apparently, horse camping is available) it has about 100 wooded campsites, a good portion with water and electric. Our site was perfectly adequate. The water pressure was not over 40 PSI. The site had a nice stone fire ring and picnic table. The dump station isn't paved and is situated on a small hill, accessible as you are pulling into the campsites. When leaving it appears you have to turn around to get to it. But otherwise, the setting was delightful with birds signing until dusk and then the frogs and insects taking over. the lodge is nice with showers and room for playing games. There was WiFi, a bit weak in the woods but much better closer to the office. There was a strong US Cellular signal but that's all, so plan on roaming if you use another provider. The round-trip ferry boat charge for our Class C Sprinter was $56 plus two adults. The ferry service is terrific, running up to 4 boats and make the crossing in less than 30 minutes. Depending on the height of your rig, you may have to wait as some ferries have more cleanance than others. But they can handle anything from dump trucks to school buses. Allow plenty of time to explore all the island has to offer. The free Experience Washington Island guide has numerous maps and everything you need to know to get the most out of your visit.
