Our accommodation was in a simple, fully-equipped area, which was sufficient as our intention was to spend the entire day at the parks. The camping spots were flat and asphalted, and there was a bus service from the area that could transport you throughout the camping site or to the station for other parks. We certainly intend to revisit and stay for an extended period to further explore and appreciate the camping site.

We reached the Fort close to midnight, the evening prior to our scheduled check-in. We were allowed to place our camper in the extra parking area. The area is enormous. Navigating through the camping site and parking can be slightly challenging. Fortunately, we didn't encounter any problems while reversing into our spot, unlike the difficulties we've heard others mention. There are numerous activities to engage in here, so I highly suggest using a golf cart or bicycle unless you enjoy walking. They provide a bus service exclusively for the campsite. The camping spots are well spaced, surrounded by numerous trees, so be ready to clear off your slides. The Wi-Fi service was decent, but not dependable. We made use of our starling and luckily, there was sufficient space between the trees at our spot to utilize it. Some spots seemed to be completely covered. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would be thrilled to return during the Halloween or Christmas season.

Checking in - It's a breeze if you do it online. Just get to Fort Wilderness, tell the staff you've done your check-in online, and they'll verify it on their gadget. They'll then provide you with maps and easy-to-follow instructions to your site. If you haven't checked in online, there's a large registration area where you can sort everything out in classic Disney style and efficiency. Advice - For those with rigs over 42', we found the loops under 1000 to be quite narrow and tight, so make your booking accordingly. As newcomers, the area and facilities can seem a bit daunting at first, but once you settle in, you'll realize everything is designed for convenience and efficiency. So, don't let it all overwhelm you, just take it in stride. We didn't feel the need to rent a cart; we relied on our feet and the bus service for all our transportation needs. However, if you're keen on exploring everything Fort Wilderness has to offer, a cart would be quicker. We found Frog Togs' cooling towels to be a lifesaver against the heat and humidity. You can buy them at the park or save a lot by buying them before you arrive. One final piece of advice, visit the parks early, take a break in the afternoon when it's hottest, then return in the evening when it's cooler and the lights are on. If you're in the military, get your park tickets at the base! Highlights - The location is fantastic. Being so close to everything Walt Disney World offers is a real bonus. The transportation options are excellent; we didn't need our truck at all during our week-long stay. The facilities at Fort Wilderness are also top-notch. We spent most of our time at The Settlement, which has lots to do and see before you board the boat to Magic Kingdom or the bus to Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Disney's customer service is unparalleled and always makes you feel special. Yes, everything

We revisited Fort Wilderness for the second time, and our experience was similar to the first, except for the unavailability of the larger pool area due to ongoing construction, which we were informed about prior to making our reservation. This time, we opted for a standard site, considering that during our previous visit we ended up with a standard site despite paying for a preferred one due to accessibility issues. The process of site allocation is rather perplexing. When you make a reservation at this campground, you only choose a type of site, not a specific one. There seems to be an option to request a particular site, but we haven't quite grasped how that works. Twice now, we've been assigned initial sites that we couldn't maneuver our vehicle into because of our turning radius and various obstacles like trees, posts, or other campers' vehicles. This created a lot of tension, especially when the staff mentioned that the park was fully booked and they might not be able to accommodate us elsewhere (although they did, and we managed to fit into our new site). It was somewhat disappointing to be assigned a site upon arrival, only to find it inaccessible and then notice several other sites that would have been an easier fit for our setup (a 34' fifth wheel and F350 dually), but were told those were already reserved. Regardless, once we were settled in, our stay was fantastic! Disney seems to have some secret method to keep bugs at bay, as we didn't encounter a single mosquito during our stay, even while hosting family in a tent behind our vehicle. Our site had an excellent tent pad, but we did need to buy an additional sewer hose to reach the sewer inlet when our vehicle was parked on the concrete pad. If you weren't using the tent pad, you could probably park your vehicle there and manage with two hoses. Site 1730 was conveniently located next to the restrooms/showers, which was great for those sleeping in the tent. We loved the

After receiving glowing reviews about this campsite and making my inaugural visit to Disney World, I chose to lodge here. Although I found the campsite pleasant, it fell short of my anticipations (perhaps they were too lofty.) I found certain aspects favorable, others needing enhancement, and gathered some insights that could be useful to future campers. Would I lodge here again? I'm uncertain. If I ever revisit Disney World, I believe this could be an ideal accommodation due to its proximity. While the complimentary transit to the parks was appreciated, it was somewhat lacking. If this same campsite, with all its features, was situated elsewhere (excluding association to the Disney theme parks) and priced the same, I wouldn't lodge here again. My final verdict is that the only aspect justifying the price is the location, and even that is arguable. Reservation: I made my reservation last summer online. I didn't have specific dates so I tailored our trip around the most affordable package price for our campsite and park tickets. Here's a piece of advice: if you want a precise breakdown of your campsite expenses, ensure you capture the prices when you're making the reservation. Once the reservation was made and I paid, I could only see the total package price. I attempted to contact Disney prior to my stay and was informed they could only see the package total. The resort itself couldn't provide any details. I'm awaiting a response from the billing department to see if they have a detailed statement. It's not a big issue, just a matter of interest. Before check-in: Approximately a month before my stay, Disney mailed some discount vouchers and a "magical savings card." Since I'm a full-time camper and had already left my parents' home (where I receive mail), I reached out to Disney. They couldn't assist me, but suggested I inquire at the campground check-in. Since the vouchers and card are required to get the discount, I asked upon check-in.

This campsite's appeal lies in its location within Disney. The allocated space was cramped and crowded. The utilities were inconveniently positioned, with the sewer being too distant for me to access, forcing me to empty our tanks as we departed. While the eateries on the premises were not operational, a few local food trucks were available in the evenings. The highlight of this experience was the ability to step out of our RV, walk for ten minutes to the water taxi, and be directly transported to the Magic Kingdom. This was particularly beneficial when returning from the park with our sleeping infant in the stroller, as we didn't have to disturb her sleep. Ensure you bring all necessities as shopping options in the vicinity are limited.

We occupied the grassland spots in the 1000 circuit. Pleasant location, even as well. On this occasion, we simply remained to appreciate the Fort. Engaged in equestrian activities... Also indulged in some retail therapy at Disney springs.

There are so many activities here. If you are going to Disney resorts, then there is a boat and bus service that are very convenient. You will need a golf cart, so make your reservations well in advance (about $60 per day). The sites are level and high quality. Full hookups with a hose are included. I didn't feel one mosquito bite while I was there. The sewer is offset, so neighbors have a good view, but it also may mean that you'll need the sewer hose extension for some RVs.

I've read all the reviews and I don't know what more I can say. Great sites with great amenities. We went to the parks, swam at the campground, used the laundry facilities & bathrooms. We had a great experience! The only negative we really had during our stay was the Yellow bus line was inconsistent and spread out a lot more than the other lines. We initially didn't rent a golf cart but ended up getting one for the second half of our stay because the Yellow bus line was unreliable and frustrating. It's really hard to know what we actually paid for our site because we booked it as a package deal with park tickets. I believe the listed rate on the website (before package discounts applied) was around $120 per night. We did not have a premium site, but rather a standard site. It had plenty of room to park our 37 foot travel trailer and truck and still have a sitting area and a place to have our picnic table. We will definitely stay here again.

Disney's Fort Wilderness was insanely expensive, especially the upgraded site we had. For $250/night (Easter week) we were prepared to check it off the list and never stay there again. Within 1 hour we were trying to figure out when we could go back. Yes, the loops are a bit tight for a 44' fifth wheel, but the sites were very easy to back into and quite large. At least ours was. We had a huge area to our side and behind us. A great dog walk path behind us. We were a short walk from the restaurants and boat area. The grounds were amazing. So quiet and well kept. I wish we were there for weeks and able to enjoy more of what they offered. We also got to see some of the fireworks and the electrical water parade from the beach! Another pleasant surprise was how much we enjoyed the food at the BBQ restaurant as well as the food trucks. And of course the best wifi service of any campground we've been to yet.

By far the most enjoyable campground we've stayed at and by far the most expensive. Part of Walt Disney World, Fort Wilderness is a free boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom and a bus ride away from the other parks. We stayed in the cheapest loops (tents, pop-ups & campervans) with water & electric and the price was $150 a night. Prices change depending on the dates and we stayed during Easter week. Comfort stations, with flushing toilets, laundries, showers and ice machines were clean and up to date. Unfortunately only 2 of the 4 showers were working. Most sites had some shade, some had lots of shade. A concrete pad, grill & picnic table are provided. Recycle bins and trash bins are close to all sites. Sites are hosed down after campers depart. There is not a feeling of being crowded; many large open spaces and woods throughout the campground. There really is nothing else like Fort Wilderness Campground. It's huge. Many people either rent golf carts to get around or bring their own. Internal buses also get you around the campground. You cannot drive your car to get around the campground. 2 Trading Posts, a bar, a restaurant, a quick service take-out, a food truck, 2 pools, a beach area (no swimming), 4 playgrounds, a large dog park, tennis courts, canoeing/kayaking, fishing , carriage rides, bike rentals, scheduled kids' pool activities and so much more. Many of the extra activities also carry an extra cost. The Disney parks are at your fingertips, but you could spend a week just enjoying the resources at the campground. Fort Wilderness feels calm and relaxing and is beautifully landscaped. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We loved the location and the transportation buses (boat to MK) available to get to the parks. With that said, you MUST rent a golf cart BEFOREHAND if you want to get around the resort (to get to the pool, eating places, archery, marina & other resort amenities) When we got there all the golf carts were sold out for the duration of our stay. We tried to use the vehicle we towed but there is not car parking at the amenities inside the park. Keep that in mind. If you are utilizing only the accommodations & Disney Parks then no golf cart is needed. Just a heads up. The park was extremely clean. Pool with a slide and splash pad was a huge hit with our family. The sites are small, not much room to move around. We loved the food trucks that were there a few nights during our stay!! Great WiFi. We loved that there were trash and recycle stations at every other campsite. Very convenient.

Second stay at the campground. Great amenities. We travel with a dog. They have a nice dog park. Both sites we have had were large. Good cell signal, but also the Wi-Fi at the campground works well. I work remotely and had no issues. Recommend bikes or renting a golf cart as the campground is very large, but vey walkable too. There is bus transportation to and from parks. Also a water shuttle to the Magic Kingdom. Overall a nice campground.

Stayed for a week the first week of 2022. Back in. Full hookups. Expensive but is right on Disney and really convenient to see the parks. So, just depends on the value you put on it. Can't give it a 5 start because there are better luxury RV parks with better wifi and sites. Wifi was "available" but we could not connect at all during the entire week, which is nice so that we can work without using our hotspots. So, worked solely on our normal hotspots (which is what we rely on anyway). Just expected good wifi for being at Disney. If you stay here, consider renting a golf cart to get around the campground for food and such. Vehicles can't access much of the campground to keep it safe for pedestrians and animals, which is actually nice. Overall, a great place to stay if you are visiting Disney parks. :)

The spaces are very close together. No way to walk outside without full view of every space around you. The roads are super tight and the tight corners make all the driving blind. Have to drive super slow to avoid the many obstacles. All back in sites. No way to get into them without driving over one or more of the neighboring sites. Hope they happen to be there because it’s very likely they have to move something in order for you to get in. Only one tiny spot to drop a toad. If it’s in use you are parked in the middle of the road waiting. If you don’t have a golf cart you can’t park at the restaurants. No, they don’t have a golf cart. We were here when it was super slow and they were sold out of golf carts. If they do have them, add another $60 a day to the already super expensive site cost. Way too expensive for what you get. There is nothing special about the place and many negatives. Best to avoid.

I don’t know if covid put a it of a damper.. but it wasn’t as good as we expected especially for the price we paid. We rounded up with the taxes and dog fee for each night. Our total was 590 that included 3 tickets to blizzard beach @70.00 per ticket. Not all amenities are open. No Florida resident discount, or any for that matter. Sites are tight (if you are not use to backing into tight spots tell them at check in and they will send you help, but we are pros 😁) the site are very private and spacious. The worse part was the millions of people hauling ass around like they are driving in Cairo in their golf carts. It is a big park, but getting around on your bike is perfect (apart from the fear of being hit by a speeding golf cart). Bathrooms are very clean and so it the laundry ($3.00 per load each) there is a free ice machine near the bathrooms on the side. They are very covid mask wearing strict 🙄. I will not return here until this covid is over. I would probably stay at one if there resorts due to the similar cost. WiFi is free and works great.

What an amazing campground! As a local, I've always wanted to stay at Fort Wilderness, but most of the time it was not available due to the high demand camping location. We knew that if we ever had a chance to book a reservation, it would be right after COVID, since international borders. Staff was super friendly, as expected! Our site was clean, even and had a table and a grill. Unfortunately there was no fire pit. We were tent camping and since we had full electrical access, we plugged our heater to it to keep us warm and toasty at night. Campground had amazing amenities and recreational activities, too many to name. We canoed through the small river, kids rode ponies, visited Epcot for half day and the rest of the time enjoyed the outdoors. Highly recommend!

The campground was very clean and in true Disney fashion, felt like another world. Every loop had lights and Mickey decor all over, which added to the special feel. The sites in our loop were spacious and private, which we really enjoyed. We loved the trails all throughout the park and the whole thing was so vast. The playground near our site was great and the pool was so cool! Both pools are heated and the one pool on the RV side had an awesome slide that the kids loved! The campground is pet friendly, but we boarded our dog at their daycare which was great! In the morning you can take a bus to the Disney Parks or you can take the boat which again was very magical!! My only issues with Fort Wilderness were the laundry facilities (they were SO smelly and dirty) and the lack of entertainment during our stay. The food places were operating on a smaller menu and there were no fireworks or characters or shows like usual. The little outpost store was also closed. I understand this is because of COVID, but despite the closures, the price is still extremely high. I would probably wait to come back until after the pandemic so that we could enjoy everything Fort Wilderness has to offer. Bring bikes or you can rent a golf cart, because it’s the only way to get around. Their stores and facilities (pool, laundry, etc) do not offer car parking, only golf cart parking. Golf cart rental is around $60 per day FYI. And one final note, masks are required and are STRONGLY enforced, but Disney sells really adorable character options for kids and adults to wear during their stay!

Every loop and every site within the park looked to be great. The campground is huge, we took long walks every morning and saw much of the park and it all looked spectacular. We loved all the big trees and it truly does feel like a wilderness. So much so that we saw numerous deer and wild turkeys on our walks. The facilities (bathrooms, showers) were very up-to-date and clean. The accessibility to get to the different parks via the boats was great. We appreciated the lengths that Disney has gone to keep all of their guests COVID safe. The site was level and utilities were easy to access. The roads are somewhat narrow, but backing in was acceptable. There is lots of privacy between sites. Check-in process was easy, however, they give you a lot of verbal information at the gate which I would have appreciated in writing somewhere that I could reference later as it was a lot of helpful information. We had a great stay and would look forward to another visit!

I wanted to really love this experience. Just not sure I can. Arrival was painless, the site was clean and had been prepped for us. Water and power were both good. The shower house bathroom was always clean and stock, the shower had plenty of hot water and was clean. The issues that make me unsure if it is a good experience or not. the other campers......wow so inconsiderate of other guest. Loud music, unsupervised kids, Huge mounds of trash. Trash can was set on fire a couple of time because people were dumping their fire pit into it. The golf carts, the endless parade of golf carts going round and round. the campsites with half a dozen tents and 30 campers with associated kids, bikes cars, toys The pool, tough to relax with 20 kids playing tag in the entire pool area, not to mention jumping and playing in the hot tub. The Food, we ordered some ribs and fried chicken only to wake up with food poisoning, so we were violently ill for a day and a half. The site was nice, the campground was well maintained as was the pool and walkways. Then the value for dollars paid. Really hard to justify spending $150 per night for a water and electric only site. Just not worth it.
