Our decision to stay at the only available winter camping spot close to Mammoth Mountain felt like a necessary evil. Had the swimming area and bathing facilities been maintained properly, the cost could have been rationalized. However, it felt like we were taken advantage of! The cleanliness of the pool and showers was appalling. The camping spots were situated on uneven tarmac. We have no plans to return and wouldn't suggest it to others.

We enjoyed ourselves here, we were only planning a week here then move to Twin Lakes but decided not to. Perfect location for walking into town, close to bike path and golf course. The campsites are very spaced out, The best are full hookups in the middle of campground. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff was very easy to work with.

We loved the location of the CG but there are several different areas and types of sites, which I didn’t understand when booking. We were in Site 70 at the top west part of the CG. It’s literally a asphalt paved parking lot with water and electric. Our friends were down in the premium sites which are much more attractive set among the pine trees but they also get very muddy in the rain. (Our site was much cheaper in the parking lot area.) The bathroom showers in the parking lot area were always gross. We started using the showers at our friends’ section which are all private bathrooms and much cleaner. Overall we would stay here again and in the parking lot because it’s convenient and fairly cheap.

I understand that everything is overpriced at Mammoth. But spots in the NF campground across the street are $28, $14 for America the beautiful pass holders. Our $75 got us a piece of asphalt in a parking lot. Across the street were nice large sites. Of course we had electric and water and that obviously has value. Many reviews stated very clean, nice restrooms. Our experience was they were a little dirty and my wife had two nights of cold showers. Note this was July and the place was very busy, so perhaps their systems just couldn’t meet the demand. Of course the good is you can ride your bike to town, and the area has tons of great stuff to do! The checkin was easy and the checkin person just delightful. She showed us pictures of a bear that wanders through camp. So cute! Note: no bear sittings when we were there. My $0.02 is dry camp across the street, which is what we are planning for next time.

Asphalt lot. Water and electric only. Full was not available. We had no reservation as it was after Labor Day and didn’t feel the need.

This was just a stopover for us this time but we've explored Mammoth Lakes on another trip and this woulda been a great home base. The park itself is basically just a parking lot tho there seemed to be some sites in a more wooded area. Location's the reason to be here (and the reason for the price).

Super friendly staff. We used it as a base camp and for storage as we backpacked the Ansel Adams Wilderness. We came out early due to weather, and the staff here really worked hard to get us into a spot on very short notice.

Right at the edge of Mammoth Lakes which is a busy town but the campground was still quiet. Good location for many activities. Jeeping, hiking, fishing, bike riding etc. We were in the asphalt parking area which only had electric and water. The wooded area has FHU including sewer. In the asphalt area the spaces were fairly wide but if you have slideouts on both sides you will need to park your tow vehicles in front of the RV so allow for the extra length. The wooded area sites vary because of the trees. Almost all sites are level and easy to get into. Check the event calendar because Mammoth has lots of big event. We were here during Mammoth Motocross which is a huge 10 day long event with tons of dirt bikers rolling into town. Park has pool, playground, showers, community dumpout, and propane, all clean and well managed. The main negative is the high price.

We usually stay in the National Forest for our visit to the area. Our favorite campground (and many others) were not open yet due to the amount of snow the area received during the winter. Let's start with check-in. We arrived about 1:20 pm after a 7.5 hour drive. Went into office and there were 3 women chatting behind the counter. After waiting for acknowledgement, I had to actually say excuse me to ask about check-in. We were promptly told check-in isn't until 2 pm and they went back to their conversation. Keep in mind half the park was empty! Because of our dates, we had to have 2 separate reservations (check-out of site 1 and recheck into site 2 on day 6). We went to the office to make the arrangements to recheck-in, knowing we were probably going to have to move our RV, and were told check-in isn't until 2. What are we to do? There suggestion "go sight-seeing". Cable never worked. We reported it to office on day 2. By day 6, still no cable service. (We really like watching the news for the area whenever we can.) There are 2 different types of sites, Standard and Premium. Standard are in a parking lot situation with water, electricity, and cable. Premium sites are in the wooded, dirt section and also include sewer. The standard sites are well defined with parking lines. Premium sites are not well defined. We stayed in a premium site. Our Premium site was relatively level but the dirt roads through the wooded area had potholes. The restroom in the Premium area was well maintained. The only disadvantage to these were the showers. They had a push button that allowed water to flow for about 30 seconds. You have no control over the temperature of the water. This campground is on the edge of town. Hospital is about 2 blocks away so you hear the sirens. Grocery is about 1 mile away. Skiing about 5 miles away.

We payed $51.30 per night for electric hookup at our site. There was a water spigot and dump station available by the shower house but no full hookups at sites due to winter season. There is a pool and hot tub area which was nice, but I feel the price was overly estimated for what the sites had to offer. The showers were clean, had good water pressure, and hot. It was unfortunately the only place available with hookups at this time. I think the primitive camping sites are more in nature and slightly better for a more private camping experience. Also this is the only campground that I had been that hadn’t offered any sort of discount. No AAA, good Sam, senior, or anything at all. The location and access to Mammoth is the best perk it had to offer.

This is the only RV Park in Mammoth Lakes that has any hook-ups available, at all. We were really excited for the chance to get a site, since they’re so popular and booked out. We were in a 50amp site, with water and dump. I’ve seen comments about the price being high but really feel like for what they had to offer, it was well worth it. Especially considering the price to stay anywhere else, in this town. (And I mean with all the same availability. It’s fully accommodated and nowhere else that’s less expensive has these options...) The site was surrounded by trees, clean and the facilities were really clean and safe! The showers were warm and bathrooms clean. My kids were really happy to have the playground available and the bike path. There was so much to do, right there! The pool was warm and jacuzzi was great, after being on the mountain all day. We didn’t have a moment of boredom and that was the best feeling. There’s a free shuttle that picks you up right at the park and takes you all over town! We were able to get to the Mountain first thing in the morning, with no headache. The WiFi seemed to work pretty well, but we didn’t use it very much and they had cable, so we were able to watch tv that way. Not that we were inside very much! With all of that in mind my husband and I have also stayed here during a few of their big snow falls and it was a completely different experience. The prices were a bit less because only the 30amp part of the park was open. Those sites are on pavement, with not many trees around. They also don’t have dump at them but there’s a dump station you can use for free at the grounds. The water was also off. All of that seems pretty typical, if you’ve ever lived in the mountains for a while. The pipes would freeze and they have to keep people in the area they can plow. (Not under the trees.) The few stays in the winter we’re great! They kept the roads plowed and we were able to borrow a shovel to get the snow off our camper before we left. (There was a lot of snow fall while we were there. We didn’t bring one on our 1st trip but knew to bring one on our 2nd trip. By the 3rd the snow was melting. We were there during 2 of the heavy snow falls during this “big year” for their snow.) Staying here instead of getting a hotel saved us a bundle! This town is super expensive and we were just staying to ski in the winter. (We were able to keep our heater on!) This is a really small town and the RV Park is one of the first things you see. From there the grocery stores are right around the corner. There isn’t many options for shopping for necessities, so save some cash by bringing anything you might need with you. (We learned this the hard way when we didn’t bring chains and the town doesn’t have many places to offer them. The snow fall was a lot this year!) The most shopping is at the little town part “The Village” and the shops are cute but pricey. Restaurants, the mountain, the Village, lakes, trails and outdoors were all within about 4-5 miles of the park, which made everything super convenient. There are bears! During our warm stay we saw one wandering through the grounds. Super cool to see and he didn’t stick around when he realized there were people. He seemed more interested the food. It was just another awesome experience us and our kids got to have, that we couldn’t have otherwise, since the other campgrounds were so limited. I think I’ve heard the (friendly and helpful) office staff say they are under new management? I’d say keep it up! We’ll be staying again.

THERE R NO OTHER CHOICES WITH FULL HOOK UPS! That being said, if u go to Mammoth and need hookups, stay there, otherwise STAY AWAY! Mammoth Lakes is a beautiful place. But staying in this RV Park is like camping in Los Angeles...... not suited for those of us who like peace & quiet. We stayed here out of necessity! Will NOT do it again. Whatever u do, don’t pick site 215..... every tent camper (and there’s plenty of them) washes their dishes right outside your door!!!! Very annoying! The staff is nice and the RV Park convenient to town.

$75 a night for a full hookup in off season! The FHU sites are spacious and shady but you are in the dirt. Some of the sites can be a challenge with all the trees. WiFi was ok and we did not use the pool or hot tub., Since we were there during off season it was super quiet and cold at night. I think this place would be a zoo in the summer. There are probably campgrounds that are nicer but most everything was closed for the winter. The Mammoth Lakes area is beautiful and the town had plenty of nice dining options.

We absolutely loved our stay. Our site was wide enough for our 33 foot rig and truck. Huge park with plenty of trails to walk. Family friendly with a pool and a great jacuzzi. Office staff was very friendly. Though we had water and electric, we did not have sewer but did t mind as the the super clean bathroom and laundry were 40 feet from our spot. Highly recommend as you can walk to town and get anything you need within a 2 mile radius.

After several days in Yosemite this was a perfect overnight stay. The site had plenty of shade and the facilities where clean and in close proximity. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location is great with easy access to the main road. Will definitely come back here.

We stayed one night on our way back from San Diego. Friendly staff and we will likely be back to explore.

Expensive and crowded. Prices keep rising here every season. All picnic tables gone due to pandemic. Even the National Forest campgrounds for $20 a night have picnic tables and the hosts clean them.

Great forest layout. Highway noise was apparent but not noisy. We didn’t use facilities because pool was closed. Friendly staff.

We stayed here a little over a week. Our first few days were in site 207 which was nice with full hookups. It is right by the highway but we didn’t seem bothered by the noise, you kind of get used to it. We ended up extending our stay so we had to move to another site (50). This one is on the asphalt and while it wasn’t as nice as the dirt sites, it wasn’t that bad. It was worth it for us to be able to stay an extra week in the Sierras! The sites clean, as well as the amenities. We did laundry there and had no complaints. The best part of this campground is its location to town. We didn’t have another vehicle to get around, so since it’s so close to town, we could walk or ride our bikes everywhere! The bike path goes right by the campground. We loves it so much here, we are already coming back next August! Highly recommend this place! Staff was also super nice and accommodating!

This was a desperation choice. Low on fuel, all state parks were closed, getting late in day. $75 for a crowded parking lot. No water or dump. Motel 6 was cheaper. No doubt a beautiful area. Surprising quiet at night.

We absolutely loved this place. Clean bathrooms, reasonable laundry prices, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I managed to lose my key before the office was open, I told them I could figure something out yet they still sent one out to make us a new key plus an extra, and they brought it to our site! The dump and water stations were helpful, and the campground is only 10 minutes from Mammoth mountain, with a Starbucks right down the street and groceries and restaurants within a mile or 2. This is the perfect place to stay if you like a more established campground, or if you’re like us and you want a place to camp during winter and need the hookups for heat! Oh, and their WiFi actually worked decently for us!

We visited in early May, there was no snow on the ground, but we were given a spot in the paved area. We noticed that there were plenty of others camping in the more scenic and wooded dirt campground areas and would have preferred to be there. Still, because there weren’t a lot of people, everyone was spaced out and we didn’t feel cramped. The Wifi was GREAT! T-Mobile service was good. Campsite had a fire ring, but tables have been removed due to Covid. Other than electricity and water hook-ups at the site and the dump on the way out, we didn’t use the other facilities. Would stay here again for the hook-ups, but would like to try New Shady Rest across the road when it’s open.

You’re close to town and the showers are very clean with nice hot water, polite staff...but I was really surprised by the cost. $74 for a ‘parking lot’ type of space (water & electric), $91 for a spot in the trees (full hookups). There’s a small playground for children (swings & a climbing set up for older kids), the pool is currently still closed during COVID (as of June 2021).

I get it… it’s a pricey RV park, but everything is pricey here in Mammoth, gas was over $5 a gallon when we were here. We had power and water that did not fail and that was good enough for our stay. Bathrooms/Showers were clean, check-in was easy, getting into our spot was easy, lot was pretty level. We used this as our base camp to explore the surrounding area, so being relatively close to the 395 was great. We took the Jeep to Bridgeport and Bodie to the north and 4 wheeled on many of the OHV roads in the area. The weather was perfect in early June, we only encountered snow blocking the trail at only the highest elevations (Laurel Lakes). If there was a negative it was our proximity to the hospital next door; that place was making some racket which I never noticed during the day but at night I heard plenty of it, which sounded like electrical motors or fans running, it was loud enough to need to close the windows and fan vents at night.
