My journey to this location was with a 35' 5th wheel and a long bed truck, which I parked at spot #16, an east-west, BI spot costing $18 per night. The roads and spots were made of gravel and compacted sand. The road was starting to show signs of wear and tear due to weather, making it somewhat uneven in certain areas. To position my vehicle in the spot, I had to reverse uphill, which isn't my preferred method. I required a single plank to achieve a level position. The spot was adequately long for my vehicle, truck, and a guest's car. Generally, the spots are smaller and closer to each other compared to most state parks. The waste disposal station is oddly located in the access road for spots #15-19. If someone was discharging their waste, you'd have to either wait, navigate through an unoccupied PT spot adjacent to it, or reverse up the road and around a bend. Most spots offer partial to complete shade. Spot #16 is mainly exposed to sunlight and is very near to spot 15, which isn't my preferred arrangement. The communal bathrooms were clean, though I didn't use the showers. It was a bit of a trek from my spot. There were many over-the-air channels available, but no wifi. I had 2 bars of 5G signal with Verizon. If I were to return, I'd aim to reserve spots 36 or 37.

The park is satisfactory and offers a variety of activities. However, it was disappointing to find no staff available for kayak rentals or boat tours. The amphitheater also seemed to be unmanned. Hiking was the only option during our visit, which could be completed within two hours due to the park's small size. Photos don't accurately represent its true size. The park is situated very close to residential areas and developers, resulting in constant noise from ambulances and street traffic. As a regular RV user and seasoned camper, I believe these factors are crucial, particularly when considering the standards of state parks. The park's location was a major disappointment, particularly after a long drive only to find it amidst heavy traffic.

This campground is very clean and very well maintained. The campsites are relatively secluded. There is a playground/ picnic area, along with a couple of short trails, kayak and canoe rentals and a guided pontoon boat tour ($). It is convenient to shopping and other area attractions.
