Full-service resort in Amador Co. gold and wine country. All sites full hook-up. Free WiFi. 2 pools & spa, billiards, horseshoes & more. Café, gift shop, RV supplies.
Check in was great and easy. We came here because we were headed to another RV park but due to fires, they were out of power. We used to like this place but it has become very run down. Half the grass is dead and what is green is uncut and overgrown. The trees are out of control and just driving to your site you have to avoid overgrown branches hanging in the road and potholes. Garbage was piled up outside of all the trash bins we used. Wi-Fi was horrible and provider indicated that it was the park, not their service. Cable TV came in scratchy and hard to watch. Changed the Coaxial cable to confirm it wasn’t a bad cable. Cell also was not good and we have T-Mobile. We would come here over the years and yes, it is kid city. Yes there are lot of full time residence, but it was clean. Not sure why it has changed. If you need to stay a night it would be fine in our opinion but I wouldn’t make a destination.

Full hookups, level, great pools/hot tub, decent laundry room. Sites are a little close to each other but we had plenty of shade and backed up to the pond where there were always kids fishing!

We found this location to be so crowded that we might as well have stayed home. Our three night stay ended after the first night. However, the staff that we encountered were very helpful and pleasant to work with. They have just tried to cram way to many vehicles into the space.

It was my bad to select 173. I thought this space would be handy to be near the restaurant and store (which is still closed due to covid). Also, the foot traffic gets heavy at times for everyone going to the swimming pool. So I’d stay here again for sure, just not in the same spot 173. My rate was a little cheaper due to being a Good Sam member. When everything is ok, they have a rec area with pool table, air hockey, plus a cafe area, swimming pool, and a pond you can fish out of. Seemed to be one of the nicer parks I have stayed at

Expensive, crowded, busy. WiFi was so-so. Nice laundry room. We were here over Labor Day weekend. The week prior it was quiet and nice. Over the weekend, the weekend the park became party central with no control or security. Loose, aggressive dogs. I will never stop here on a holiday weekend again.

Check-in was quick … maybe too quick. They had the package ready, handed it to you, and sent you on your way. No additional information provided. The roads are somewhat narrow, and there are lots of hanging trees. You play dodge ball to get to your site! We and our friends had premium plus sites which are presumably big rig friendly. As our friends were backing into their site they hit a heavy, low hanging branch causing significant roof damage. The RV park took no responsibility. It is irresponsible to represent a site as big rig friendly, pay extra for that site and have obstacles to deal with. Our site was long and wide enough but it was challenging parking due to trash bins and lightposts. The tow vehicle would only fit sideways. The sites do have nice concrete pads but the sites are pretty close together. The WII FI didn't work – seriously for the money you pay this is expected to work. Lots of ducks and duck poop and constant noise from highway 49 (we were right by it though). The main advantage of this park is that you are right in wine country. Other than that, we would pass this one by.

We have stayed at this RV park many times when visiting the wineries in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County. The location is perfect, great wineries only a 10 minute drive from your RV door...doesn't get any better (don't miss Jeff Runquist Winery for award winning reds). This is a very popular place; during special events or holidays, even though large, this park will fill up. Management has always been friendly and helpful; Cheryl at the front desk is great! Grounds are nice, with a small grass area and table at each site, many having recently undergone repaving and are now much more level. Sites backing up to the ponds are slightly more expensive, and those near the highway receive a little more road noise. A few sites are a little tight for larger rigs. Swimming pools, laundry room and restrooms have always been exceptionally clean. Additional amenities include a nice convenience store and cafe. We stayed here in a fifth wheel.
