A great spot suitable for caravans right on a white sandy beach on the eastern side of Harvey Estuary. There are basic facilities and flushing toilets. This spot is popular during the peak season (Easter long weekend especially) and day visitors chasing the blue swimmers.

A number of scattered sites over about 5k on river flats by the wide, shallow, upper Snowy River. A rain-shadow area, fostering wattle, cypress pine and White Box woodlands. Can be hot in summer. Remote, quiet camp, pleasant if not too hot/dry.

Belvidere Beach Campground

Well defined, flat (and sandy) campsites in Leschenault Conservation park on the edge of the Leschenault Estuary with the Ocean only a stones throw away. Most of the campsites are suitable for tents. There are half a dozen sites suitable for caravans or motorhomes.

Walhalla North Gardens Campground

Temporarily Closed - Campground in the historic town of Walhalla, suitable for caravans. This is a very large, and grassy campground, and is very popular during the warmer months. There is plenty of room here though.

Trig Campground

This is a large, flat and well grassed campground with plenty of open space. The openess and low vegetation surrounding this campsite makes it a bit less desirable in windy weather as there is not a lot of shelter provided.

Muttonwood Campground

On the edge of the Wellington River this campground has a number of well grassed and secluded sites among eucalypt and low hills. If the weather is warm, the river has a couple of nice swimming spots (although fairly shallow) with crystal clear running water.

Maritz Bend Campground

On the banks of the Goulburn River, this campsite has plenty of room and direct access to the water. There is a nice sandy beach and swimming hole, so this site can be popular in warm weather. Easy access to the water with sandy beach, so launching kayaks is easy too.

Dandos Campground

A quiet, remote, attractive site on a former tree nursery in a large bend of the Gellibrand River featuring a magnificent avenue of poplars. The camp ground, separate from the day area, is a generally level grassy flat with thin shade from open rows of Messmate.

Horseshoe Bend Campground

A large, open and shady campground on the banks of the Wimmera River, in Little Desert National Park. A great spot if you want to be on the edge of the river. The campground is very large and level, however doesn't have a lot of grass cover (mainly dirt).

Tunnel Bend Flat Campground

Very pleasant, narrow, extended river flats shaded by open Peppermint, Manna Gum, Blackwood & wattle over short green grass. Good gravel access track. Surrounded by the forested foothills of the alps. Upstream is tunnel in a horseshoe bend of the Howqua Rv at the foot of Tunnel Spur.

Mannum Campground

Fairly open campground on the banks of the Murray River near Mannum. Great little spot if you need or want to be right on the river, with boat ramp access. It is definately not the most secluded of sites and you will likely be sharing it with other campers however quite comfortable.

Toorongo Falls Campground

Situated at the head of an attractive, narrow valley are three grassed clearings by the bubbling Torongo River and surrounded by lush wet sclerophyll forest. The first, by the entry gate, is a small, grassed flat with little shade and no facilities.

Lake Navarino - Lakeside Camping Campground

This is a commercial campground on the banks of Lake Navarino with a range of accommodation options. I don't normally include commercial campgrounds, but this one has bush camping away from the main area. The pricing is reasonable and it is a beautiful area.

Princetown Recreation Reserve Campground

Closest campground to the 12 apostles with powered and un-powered sites, hot showers, and free barbecues. The Princetown Recreation Reserve and Camping is located 6km east of the 12 Apostles, adjacent the Gellibrand River. It is the perfect central base for sightseeing along the Great Ocean Road.

This community maintained campground is right on the waters of Baird Bay, and although it only has minimal facilities is quite comfortable and roomy. Sites are mostly gravel/sand and suitable for tents camper trailers and vans.

Wild Dog Bend Campground

Pleasant riverside camp overlooking the winding gorge of the wide and deep lower Glenelg River. The furthest upstream vehicle accessible site within the Park. Bush setting with reasonable shade from Brown Stringybark Gums. Both sites are level, grassed and reasonably large, separated by shrubs.

O`Briens Crossing Campground

Camping is no longer permitted atObriens Crossing, as it is now a day use are. The closest camping is now Lederberg Campground, 5km away.

Fitzroy River Coastal Reserve Campground

Right near the mouth of the Fitzroy River, this is a large, level and grassy campgroundThe camping area itself is quite open, and there is not a lot of shade, however there are some scattered eucalyptus and coastal scrub around the edges.

A very pleasant, quiet, green, remote bush camp on an extensive flat high in the Torbeck Range. Grassed clearings in dense forest of Peppermint, Mountain Ash, Southern Blue Gum, Blackwood and wattles. Orchids. Kookaburras. 3 BBQs. Water in nearby bubbling creek.

Extended, narrow, level flats by the Big River, well shaded by Southern Blue Gum and Peppermint with tea-tree understory secluding many sites. Popular at peak periods. Rated 4. 4/5 Surrounded by steep forested slopes. AccessThis campsite is accessable with regular 2wd vehicles.
