A popular Bass fishing location and campground on the banks of the Clyde River. Pets allowed in the state forest area (not allowed in the national park adjacent). There is a long, steep (about 10km and rising 800m in altitude) walk up to the top of "The Castle".

A pleasant quiet site in open woodland at the foot of the only protruding hill on a flat landscape. The trees and hills are welcome after driving miles over flat farmland. There are two designated, graveled sites (only 1 level) but with free access to the surrounding flats.

A pleasant old sawmill clearing (partially revegetated) sheltered in a forested valley near the bubbling Little River. There are groups of scattered sites, semi-secluded by bush and distance, designed mainly for car/tent camping, however small caravans and campervans will fit.

Gadds Reserve Campground

Very large, open and grassy campground on the banks of the Murray RiverThere are no facilities here, just the fire places left by the previous campers and a lovely pebbly beach onto the Murray River. This is probably a good spot for big caravans and campervans as it is very large, level and grassy.

Everton Rest Area Campground

Quite an attractive site but privacy is poor - overlooked from the road. An extended wide road reserve between the Markwood-Everton Rd and the Ovens River with a sandy beach. Rated 3. 5/5 Half the site is well shaded by a grove of large exotics. The remainder is cut grass.

An attractive green camp by the upper Goulburn River (a rushing creek). Well shaded by tall Mountain Ash and wattles, surrounded by steep slopes forested with Messmate. A couple of open, sunny sites. Some sites slope. Kookaburras, rosellas, finches common. Lyrebirds might be seen.

The Neck Campground

Set amongst coastal bush, a short walk to the beach on Bruny Island. The campground is located on the narrow isthmus between South and South Bruny Island. The sites are level and picnic facilities are available.

Point Sturt

A flat open area, grass on top of lime stone, so difficult to pitch a tent. The camp area is exposed, with no shelter from the sun or wind. The camp site is on top of a small cliff above Lake Alexandrina, but access to the water is quite easy.

Chifley Dam Campground

Basic, free camping, a short stroll from the shore of Chifley Dam. There are only 4 sites here (suitable for caravans/campervans). Each site can have more than one tent though, with a maximum of 12 people per site.
