I spent time in 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I also stayed from 6-2023 and have no intention of returning. The premises were plagued with a severe pest problem, both inside and outside the structures. This was not a problem I encountered in other parts of West Yellowstone. The campsite was in a state of disrepair and poorly maintained. The personnel were not accommodating or amicable, seeming only interested in profit. Despite this, the site is ideally situated for trips to Yellowstone. The laundry facilities were barely functional. The showers were passable. There are numerous superior alternatives available in West Yellowstone.

This park is extremely nice and very close to the park. The bathrooms were clean, grounds well groomed, WiFi wasn't great but good cell coverage. There are some hiking trails accessible from the park which was nice.

What can I say. A beautiful and complete campground. Big Rig friendly, great interior roads, wide level sites. Minutes from West Yellowstone and the entrance to Yellowstone NP. Staff was fantastic. We will be back next year.

Very well kept , beautiful campground in town . Very expensive but very close to western entrance of the park . Clean bathrooms with great water pressure. Laundry rooms . Grass and trees . West Yellowstone is cute with lots of shops and restaurants. Highly recommended is Pete’s Rocky Mountain pizza !! It’s excellent!!

Stayed here for a night in August 2021 and enjoyed our stay. Very family friendly and dog friendly. It is pricey but you are a very close drive to the park entrance. Spaces were level and not too close to our neighbors. The staff in the shop/check-in were very kind and helpful. We left fairly early to head into the park and there wasn't even a car line. Wish I had more time to explore West Yellowstone as it looks like there are quite a few things to do there. Had FHU and all worked well. There was a cable hookup but couldn't seem to pick-up anything.

We’re on our way to Alaska and found this out of the way place next to the Yellowstone river. Close sites but level, staff and facilities are great. The reason I wouldn’t stay here again is the cost for a place to lay my head so far off of the main highway. If I spend this much it better be in a state park, I guess you pay for convenience like showers and laundry, which we needed to do. Road from 90 is all under construction.

We stayed here in July 2020 and loved it! Our spot backed up to the river and the views were incredible. No river access and I was a bit worried about the drop with little kids but they did great. We saw deer in the campground and the night sky was beautiful (even saw neowise)! Staff was friendly and kind. There is a super bumpy speed bump going down the hill so take it slow going down. Just booked another stay there and we are excited to return. Its so close to the north entrance and we were able to drive Lamar Valley at dusk several times - incredible!! https://youtu.be/s7sJ0WRwtIs

We stayed here for 1 night in mid-September 2021 in a 25' motorhome. The RV park was very clean and well maintained. Our site backed right up to the Yellowstone River which was beautiful. Site S12 was very level and had grass and a picnic table. The sites are a bit close together, but since we only stayed for 1 night, that wasn't an issue. I think next time we would try someplace closer to I90.

Stayed here the first week of September for 2 nights. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Incredible views, spotless laundry facilities and very nice people.

Very nicely kept. Nice grass and trees on each site. Good playground. Good laundry locations spread across the park. Very convenient to the NP entrance. 4 stars because it was very expensive at $102/nt with tax, etc. If I were looking for a resort, I'd stay again; however, I will look for some boondocking in the area next time.

I will preface this by saying that we prefer solitude when we camp, so we typically only stay in RV parks when passing through to a more remote spot, or we just need full hookups. We chose to stay at Yellowstone's Edge on our way into Yellowstone, after reading the reviews here, and we were very pleased with our choice. The campground is very well maintained, and the restroom/shower/laundry facilities are updated and squeaky clean. The setting is beautiful, literally on the edge of the Yellowstone river, with expansive views of the mountains to the east. The staff were very helpful and friendly, there was a nightly campfire in front of the office that was enjoyed by quite a few campers, and the store was very nice. Not to mention that they sell hand-dipped ice cream with a selection of flavors. There is also a lot of grass for walking pets, plus trees for shade and to help separate the sites. The only real knock is that the campground is right next to Hwy 89, and there is a bit of road noise. The price of the convenient location. The campground is a touch pricey, but we felt it was worth the price.

The grounds are the nicest of any campground. The surrounding park is great for walking. The place is crowded and the sites are adequate/tight. You’ll hear your neighbors vThe trees and large rigs make it difficult to maneuver.

Check-in was super easy. Park was actually in West Yellowstone. We managed to get one of the sites backing onto Gallatin National Forest and enjoyed that very much -- both the view and walking there. The dump hook-up at our site was only accessible from our camper by pulling up to it as we left. Didn't bother us, but thought I'd mention it. It seems clearly to have been placed to accommodate huge rv's with mid-placement dump attachments. We didn't check out any of the park's facilities as we only stayed one night. At nearly $90 for the night, it was pricey. On the other hand, it put us where we wanted to be for that night, we enjoyed having water and electricity hook-ups, enjoyed the convenience to Gallatin National Forest, and it was super-close to Yellowstone's west entrance. If you're heading into Yellowstone, head in either early in the morning or in the evening to escape the crowds. Four Stars Overall Rating because sites were too close together and were too expensive. Added a photo (twice!) of Gallatin National Forest from just outside our campsite, but for some reason it didn't include my tag saying that's what it was?

Our two July nights at Yellowstone's Edge RV Park were great. We had reservations, but I wish we had acted sooner so we could have gotten a river-front site. The park itself was super clean, laundry room was great, purchasing evening ice cream was delish. They operate a little store on-site, which came in handy for us since I'd forgotten to pack mustard. :) All hookups were convenient and worked great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. A woman named Debbie escorted us to our site following our check-in. The first evening there were some super-noisy campers right behind us blasting music on their outside tv, but after a few hours of that, they evidently were shut down. It didn't happen any more. If we were to go back, I'd probably only stay there if we could stay in a river-front site -- at least for more than an overnight stop. I know...I'm spoiled! It wasn't too bad a drive down Hwy 89 to the north entrance of Yellowstone. Hitting Yellowstone early in the morning (5:30-7:30a) or in the evening (6:30-8:30p) is key for being able to enjoy it without the crowds. When anything says they open in the park at 8a (e.g., Mammoth Springs), it only means retail (or whatever) in that area, it doesn't mean the actual site itself. At the north entrance you pretty much enter at Mammoth, then it's not more than 45 minutes to an hour to Lamar Valley (depending on traffic) where you're likely to see early-morning wildlife. Rather than just looking for lots of cars pulled over (where presumably everyone's viewing something), look for cameras or spotting scopes on tripods -- those are folks who know what they're looking at and have spotted something awesome!

Great location on Yellowstone River. Very convenient to Paradise Valley activities. Staff was active and cared. Bath and shower area modern and spotless. Campsites were very well maintained. It is near Rt 89 but road noise was not a big issue. Good WiFi. One of the nicest campgrounds we have seen. Even homemade ice cream in the office. If we could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness we would.

What a beautiful park, clean, well manicured, wow. Paved roads, gravel sites, green grass, good AT&T 5G, let me wash my camper! Easy very-short drive into park.

Ended up here on a friend’s recommendation when everything in the park was already booked. Big, lovely RV park. Super family friendly with kids riding bikes and playing on the playground. Everything was very clean and both staff and campers were friendly. It is for sure on the fancy side- lots of big, fancy RVs! Great base for exploring Yellowstone

Tomorrow is my last day of a 20 day stay and I’m very sad to go! What an amazing location close to Yellowstone- Mountain Views along the river. Staff is friendly and helpful and the campground is neat as a pin including clean, great functioning laundry facilities and super clean bathrooms and showers. Perfect home away from home while I spent most every day in Yellowstone National Park. Have a great summer see you next year!

This is a good campground for access to Yellowstone National Park. We weren't there to take part in the amenities or sit around the campfire. It was a nice, clean place to sleep, and close to the entrance of the national park. We did use the laundry facilities which were standard campground machines. And even though it rained most of our stay, there wasn't a ton of mud which was very nice. I will say this - the campground and the folks who work there deal with rude tourists for months on end. (Hence all the rules.) Give them a break, be polite. I found out first hand what a difference kindness can make when putting in a request with my reservation and it was granted during peak season (June 2020) because I was very polite with my request and expectations. If you want to spend your money in West Yellowstone, MT, I suggest dinner at Beartooth BBQ, dessert at The City Creamery, and buying your souvenirs at any of the places along Canyon St.

Last minute booking while traveling home to Idaho from South Dakota. A bit off our route home but well worth it. Friendly, helpful staff, cold beer in the store, level gravel sites.

Stayed the night before going to Yellowstone. Felt a little out of place in our tiny truck camper with all huge rigs around us. But the host were very nice, the park was very well kept up, and the sites on the Yellowstone river were beautiful. Because of covid the game room and such were closed They have the most beautiful and clean bathrooms and showers I have ever seen, The campground was close to Yellowstone. We stayed at a primitive national park the night before for seven dollars ,so the 69 dollars was kind of a shock. Like they say location, location, location. Was a nice stay, and would stay again

When we rolled in to Yellowstone's Edge in early May 2020, we only had one week booked. Once we arrived, we immediately extended our stay, and extended again, and extended again. What was supposed to be one week turned into five and a half. Seeing as we kept extending and never officially booked one month, we didn't get the monthly rate. Our rate is based on the weekly rate, with some of the weeks being at the off-season rate. The owners and all of the employees are so, so nice and accommodating. We had ended up staying in three different sites due to our multiple reservations, but they were all within a few sites from each other, so moving day was easy. We requested a site that backs up to the river on the south side of the property, and that's where they were able to keep us for our entire stay. The views from these sites are beautiful -- backed up to the Yellowstone River with the snow-covered mountains in the background -- seriously, the best views ever at an RV park! The grounds are immaculate. We only used the laundry room as far as amenities, but all machines were always clean and in working order. While there's no enclosed dog area, I'd say Yellowstone's Edge is dog friendly. There's plenty of grass and area to walk a dog as well as a number of dog waste stations. We dealt with May flies early in our stay, but that's what you get when you're on the river. They don't bite, so just more annoying than anything. The property is right between the Yellowstone River and Hwy 89, so there is some road noise, but we didn't find it to be too bad. The location is great too! About 45 minutes into Bozeman and 35 minutes to the north gate of Yellowstone in Gardiner. The grocery store in Livingston is about 15 minutes, where you'll also find some restaurants. Just a few minutes drive from the RV park is Follow Yer Nose BBQ, which is delicious. Keep an eye out for wildlife -- this is the first place we've ever seen a fox in the wild and we saw it twice; once with her babies, once without. There are also some great hikes in the area -- Pine Creek Falls, the Hogback Trail, and Joe Brown Trailhead.
