One of several well designed and maintained COE parks and C/G's on this reservoir bordering Alabama and Georgia. This is busy place on weekends and holidays being so close to Birmingham, Atlanta and Columbus, but close to perfect on weekdays. Many waterfront sites, close to the beautiful historic city of Eufala loaded with street after street of pre-Civil War homes and cemetery. Guest at the C/G are friendly and hospitable. Plenty of water activities with or without a boat, hiking and of course shopping in town. Good restaurants in the area.

I have been camping here since I was a child. Clean and reasonably quiet USACOE park.

The previous reviews pretty well describe this campground. It was nearly full on the weekend, but not rowdy. Very family oriented. Then during the week it was nice and quiet. Most of the campsites are directly on the water with lovey views. The bathroom could use updating and the shower arrangement was a little strange, but all was clean. Cell signal for Verizon was weak but manageable. The price we paid reflects the senior discount. We really enjoyed this park.

Stayed here mid-week so nowhere near full. Campsite right on the water as most are. When I arrived there was a gaggle of geese by the water. Once my dogs got out of the motorhome they moved down a couple of spots but stayed close. During a walk I saw an owl fly overhead and then land in a tree. First time I've seen an owl outside of a zoo in a long, long time.

We camped in site 92 right on the lake. It’s a beautiful lake and the surrounding trees were starting to turn fall colors. Lots of rather noisy geese, but it didn’t bother us. Grounds were very well maintained. Site was concrete and level. Nice size gravel picnic area with fire pit, grill, picnic table and lantern pole. We camped in a 35 ft 5th wheel. No problems backing into the site.
