Arrival - Super easy with great communication prior to arrival. Registration area had easy pull-through entrance and exit to RV park. Staff super friendly and informative. Registration area abuts the pet boarding facility and kids playground. Tips - There are only 4 registration pull-throughs so, be prepared to park off-site to register if you are arriving during congested periods or with a caravan. Bridge parallel to registration site leading into the hotel parking and train depot is only rated for 5-tons so, traveler beware. Make sure to get your fuel in Flagstaff prior to arriving or, you'll pay a great deal more. Suggest a site AWAY from the train tracks. Unless you cannot see GCNP any other way, DO NOT waste your time or money on any of the bus tours in GCNP associated with the train! Favorites - Super clean RV park with decent sites (a little close for my taste). Great amenities associated with the park, hotel, and train (make sure to do your research or, you'll miss out). Train ride to the GCNP was a bucket list item for me. Williams, AZ is a nice, albeit tourist-driven, little Route 66 town. Negatives - Distance between sites. Freight train noise if you're close to the tracks; train seems to run at all hours. I love train sounds but, this was off the hook.

Let me start with the minus first and get that out of the way...train noise. But hey, you are staying at the Grand Canyon Railway park and there is the train tracks which other trains come through on. I would try not to be positioned in the couple back in sites along the tracks area. However, trains do not come through that often during the day. Other than that, this is a great place to stay! Most sites are pull thru and paved. The bathrooms/showers are very nice and tiled. Laundry room is reasonably priced and handy. YOu also have access to the amenities at the hotel across the street, including the restaurant, bar, gift shops, pool and hot tub. Not to mention you can walk across the street and board the train to the Grand Canyon. We really enjoyed our time here and were blown away by the stellar wifi, even when the park was full.

Yes, the train will blow their horns even in the middle of the night, yes it is much like any rv park but have better space between each sites, but the greatest of all is if you plan to ride the gcr to south rim! The park is right next to the train station, and walking distance to historic route 66! Staffs are friendly in the park and in the Train. Complimentary wifi is fast. Our only issue is the location of rv park registration. Gps will take you to the hotel so DO NOT proceed there! Instead go to the east end of the hotel bldg and you will see the sign.

We stayed here for a few days, I am really not impressed and here’s why: 1. I took two showers and each one of them the water goes from hot to cold and back without a warning or a sign. I even tried two different showers. 2. The bathrooms and the showers are cold and they stay cold in all hours of the day. 3. We paid for a huge parking lot, next to a train station. Had I have known that, I would have stayed down the street in a rest stop and saved the money. 4. The hot tub was “out of service” for our entire stay, and they have no idea when would it be fixed or even what’s wrong with it. 5. The trains run all night long and they are loud as hell, I mean you can probably jump over the park fence and land on the tracks. 6. Water tasted very much like it would have been inside the treatment facility, I even have filters and I had to change one of them after being here for two days. 7. Water pressure on sites is weak, less than 30 I had to adjust my water pressure regulator to bring the water pressure up to an acceptable pressure in the RV. 8. Laundry machines were $1.75 for wash and $1.50 for dry, that’s the highest that I have yet to pay in laundry over the last three years. 9. Laundry room is tiny, you can’t do laundry without tripping on other guests. 10. The staff at the front desk seems to think they are above anyone, when we were checking in we got talked down to and asked if we know how to get to our site. Really lady? While one of the ladies in the office is checking us in, I asked for a receipt and what I got was her hand writing of the total amount on a piece of paper. Another pet peeve of mine and this place hit that one hard. When we are being checked in, one staff member was yapping her mouth while we are trying to pay attention to the over load of instructions from the other staff member Based on my experience, I would have not paid any rate for this place. Not even free.

Very friendly, clean place. The first night the train horn was insanely loud (felt as if we were sleeping on the tracks)- the horn was blasted for multiple bursts on 3 separate occasions throughout the night (example 12, 3 and 5am) . The second night the horn was audible but not deafening. I am assuming the 1st night was not a typical occurrence.

Overall we really enjoyed this campground. Although it is quite close to the train tracks, it didn't really bother us that much. It may run less frequently off-season. The bathrooms were very clean, it was a great starting point for our trip to Page, AZ the next morning. It also has great amenities that are shared with the hotel: Hotel lounge, restaurant and bar, swimming pool and jacuzzi, a dog kennel for folks that want to experience the train ride to the Grand Canyon. It's a giant, well-organized park with all the amenities you could want. Very little privacy and very little character. There is some train noise, but I didn't find it particularly bothersome. It's an easy walk to downtown Williams, which is a very nice perk.

If you like RV parks this place is great, if you have need for pup care while camping this place is great, if you’re an rv’er on their way to many of the amazing Boondocking spots this is a great place to stop. The adorable town is within walking distance for some eating and shopping. There’s a brewery next door for delicious food, great atmosphere and thirst quenching beer after a long days hike. This RV park satisfies many different camping styles and appetites of the rv’er. The minuses; a train goes by, sites we had were uneven, and well…it’s an RV park which isn’t our flavor of rv’ing except for stopover. And it beyond hit the bill for that. Facilities were super clean. The staff was very nice. It’s also pretty awesome that they have dog daycare although we didn’t use it so no review on that.

We really wanted to like this place. The amenities were great: indoor (saltwater) pool and (freshwater) hot tub, playground, and exercise room all shared with the hotel across the street. And there’s a golf cart tram service to ferry you and your party over and back.—just call from the laundry room to request a ride. The driver was delightful! The RV park itself is not much more than a blacktop parking lot with pull thru and back in sites, each one with full hookups and room on the side for a picnic table. The neighbors were only about 20 feet away. There is a centrally located bathroom/laundry room. It was very clean, and the showers were nice with decent pressure and warm water for about 10 minutes. Of course the main appeal to this place is its proximity and access to the Grand Canyon. It is located right in downtown Williams, AZ with lots of shops and restaurants on the other side of the train tracks. Unfortunately these are active train tracks and they butt right up next to the RV park. We were awakened at 1:30am, 3:00am, and 4:30am by freight trains. I don’t know how anyone could have slept through what we heard. I understand wanting to take the train ride to the Grand Canyon and back, but next time we will sleep elsewhere. Bring some earplugs!

Rate reflects Passport America. Good place to stay to tour the area. Asphalt roads and sites, good power and water, sites are not very wide. Very clean park and nice staff. The kennel is a great touch if you want to board a pet. We would stay here again if in the area. Easy walk to catch the train to the Grand Canyon if that's what you are doing. But really I would just drive the next time. Pretty easy check in across the street from the actual park.

This is a family oriented park with lots of bells & whistles like hotel/restaurant/hot tub access, playground, train depot, etc. If you aren’t taking the train or need the extras, then you pay a lot for a level parking lot spot close to your neighbors. We were desperate after a long drive and wanted a pull through without needing to unhook and close to town and this fit the bill. The bathrooms & laundry were very clean, but it took forever to get hot water in the shower, so don’t give up! Train noise not an issue. Front office staff friendly. Surprisingly busy on a cold April mid-week.

We stayed 3 nights here, unfortunately we were COLD! We don’t do much cold camping and we didn’t care for it too much as nobody comes out of their trailers. Part of why we camp is meeting people. The park was full of trailers but was a ghost town. I think some small fire pits would make this park much nicer. We literally hung out around our space heater after we put our kid to sleep. Because of all this, the park is extremely quiet. Train into the canyon was AWESOME! Bearizona was cool too and we are regular pass holders for the San Diego zoo. Back in spots are right up against the train. The train honks at 5:30-6:00 am as it passes the park, everyday.

Very nice campground with many well kept amenities. Close to the railroad so you do get occasional noise from the trains passing but it’s not too often. We didn’t take the train to the canyon but everyone I talked to that did enjoyed it. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The brewery next door has some great beer but the food was expensive for general bar food. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for four nights in the middle of June. The weather was nice, but a little on the warm side as a heat wave was passing through the state. The location is relatively scenic with shallow mountains covered in pine trees. The RV park itself is basically a paved parking lot with lava rock landscaping, however the streetlamp lit corridor is charming at night. The check-in process was fast and smooth, but it is of note that the check-in location is across the street from the RV park itself, and I don't think they communicate that very well. I only noticed where it was by looking at the satellite view before arriving. Many guests pulled in to the RV park and had to circle around back out to the check-in building. The building has a little shop with drinks, ice, and other essentials. An on site dog boarding kennel is available as well. The park is quiet except for the freight trains that roll by from time to time (including the middle of the night). It is to be expected though, since railway is right in the name of the RV park. That said, they are LOUD and there is a crossing right near the park, so expect horn blasts to jerk you out of your slumber. The park is within walking distance to the Route 66 downtown area with shops and eateries. There are a few breweries in town, with the dog friendly Grand Canyon Brewing Co. being a short jaunt across the parking lot from the RV park. Connectivity was actually really good here. The WiFi, while not lightning speed, was reliable. My wife and I were able to work from here for our four day stay with no problem. I was able to stream Netflix in HD using T-Mobile, and Verizon worked just as well. I can't comment on the laundry facilities, as we didn't need them, but the buildings and grounds were clean and well maintained/patrolled. Access to the neighboring hotel pool/spa is provided. Overall, this was a great location to stay and we would come back here again if the opportunity presented itself.

We pulled into Williams early to avoid a storm front. Even though the RV park was about a third empty the office would not even talk about checking us in until after 11:00am and would prefer we wait until the posted 1:00pm check in time. I fail to see the logic in this, since it’s not like a hotel where they need to clean the bathroom and change the sheets. The campground is essentially a large paved parking lot with full hook-ups. There is a picnic table at each space and just enough space to put out an awning. The park is clean and well maintained and we were happy to see the resort and town had ample places to recycle. On the downside, the spaces are separated by small strips of crushed red volcanic rock. During the ensuing wind, rain, and snow storm our coach, car, and bikes were coated with a nasty red grit. Ick. There is a laundry and shower facility. The campground office/store/pet resort is located across the street next to the playground. Camping at the resort gives you access to the hotel amenities including the pool and hottub. They also offer a free shuttle that will transport you around the resort property. The campground and hotel are associated with the Grand Canyon Railway. We took the railway to the Grand Canyon south rim for a daytrip. A tad expensive, but an enjoyable experience. Williams is a touristy little town that bills itself as the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon” as well as its location on the historic Route 66. Lots of shopping and places to eat including two craft breweries. There is also a Safeway within walking distance of the campground. As others noted, you are parked right next to the train tracks so expect some noise. Our daily rate with the PA discount was $24.50 which made it reasonable. We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G. The park’s Wifi worked intermittently, sometimes great and then dropping internet service for no apparent reason.

The rate quoted above is with the Passport America discount! Thank you to them for offering! We arrived on a clear but cloudy day! Getting to check in was done with our GPS which brought us right to the right place and store. I am sure without that it might have been a challenge. Pull through areas were fine with hot top. Close sites but clean and adequate. Hook ups well organized and spaced. We wished we had a chance to use the hot tub and indoor pool facilities at the hotel nearby but a bit of a walk. We did use the laundry and shower facilities - clean and adequate. We had a dog - she was fine with the gravel but not a lot of great places to walk her - but maybe we missed something. The store was fine - lots of things to look at and collectible stuff - all the touristy things. The second day we headed to the park. Great ride, but in going through the gate they told us snow was forecast! Get in, get out was their advisory and so we did. Got back to the park and we had already registered for that night so we stayed. We put our car on the dolly and were ready to boot scoot in the AM. If they say snow if forecast, pull in your slides! Got up at 7A and were buried in snow. We were not winterized and knew we had to get out. Shoveled as best we could - did what we had to to close our slides (duh - we had heard the forecast) and called the park office at 8A asking, if they were going to plow and when. Our lot would be first on their list. And that is Exactly what they did! Great place! So, we were ready to go when they got us plowed out - we hit the road at 9AM - just 1 hour later than we wanted to leave anyway and picked our way to Flagstaff and then on down to Tucson. It took a bit more time but was doable and fun! Our thanks to the staff at Grand Canyon RV Park for helping us - knowing we needed to get to warmer weather with our rig! We hope to come back and visit again! Oh any yes - this is a park along RR tracks and trains go by - there is noise but folks this is the noise of Freedom and what made our Nation! Enjoy it = as in many areas of the country it has gone totally silent! We LOVE it! Also we visited and took advantage of the discount of the Brewery across the street! Awesome in our opinion. Another reason we want to some back!

Stayed one night at the Grand Canyon Railway RV Park. Arriving after hours is a bit confusing, but essentially start at the attached hotel to check in then work your way to the RV park from there. You must check in to get a key to the facilities. Sites are close together, separated by gravel. Nice laundry, bathroom and shower facilities, plus the bonus of gas grills in the common area. A small dog area with on-site boarding services. I wasn't able to check out the camp store as I left before it opened. Pool and hot tub are at the hotel, a short drive away. A brewery is walking distance, across the street. Park is directly on the train tracks, as others have mentioned, but I only heard one train go past early in the morning (and it goes past feet away - it's loud!). Price represents Passport America price. I was surprised Passport America was accepted as this is a Xanterra (Park Service concessionaire) resort.

Most recent stay was 05-05-16 [I’m late with submitting my review] ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining fly for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. Some pictures already posted of general RV Park + the sites, so I’ll focus on the restroom. PROS there is a solid picnic table at your site to use. Facility is newer and modern and all sites level with full hookups. Restroom/shower/laundry fully tiled floors and walls and up to date, with roomy private shower stalls + includes separate changing area with wall mounted bench and plenty of wall hooks for your stuff. Hot water and good pressure. Sink/vanity area is roomy and also modern. Convenient to Grand Canyon National Park and close to town for shopping needs. CONS narrow “green-belt” strip between sites with no privacy. Strip too narrow, could not set up our dinning fly over the picnic table, no place to anchor tie down straps to keep it up (very windy during our stay), and could not cook outdoors with camp stove. Faucets at sink/vanity area are automatic push button with slow no low pressure spray similar to what you might find in restaurant restroom, not convenient for normal bathroom use. No wall hooks or wall shelves for your stuff – gotta place on floor top of vanity which can be wet and messy. Glad they had paper towels for that. Park is alongside train tracks; you will hear the whistle blowing

Even though the park is next to the train tracks, and several trains run by daily and during the night, I have to give this park five stars. We like trains so it wasn't a bother. It is definitely the nicest park in Williams - we checked them all. After being on dirt and gravel for a few weeks, it was wonderful to be on pavement for over a week. We actually extended our stay a few days. Walking distance to lots of eateries, breweries, galleries and shops. Super clean bathhouse and laundry. Nice store stays open until 8 PM. Shuttle from park to train depot and kennel on-site make this the perfect spot to stay in Williams. WiFi worked most of the time, all amenities in excellent condition. Pads required for all jack stands - you can borrow some from the office. We paid $20/night for a full week, and they discounted 20% for our additional two nights.

This place is all paved but not entirely level and the spots are on top of each other. With that being said, you are walking distance to the grocery store, the railway that goes to the Grand Canyon and also have access to the hotel on the property that has an indoor pool. There is also a bar in the hotel that opens in the afternoon. The front desk also has a little shop with camping essentials and a kennel for your dog if you want to take a day trip to the canyon. The park has laundry that can be accessed only with a card where there is also a machine for change. Didn't use the restrooms but they appeared to have showers in there. There is a snack machine and an outside covered area to sit and bbq. The park has pretty fast wifi and the mountains behind the park are gorgeous! Great overnight or longterm spot.

We stayed here for 4 days/3 nights. Everybody was pretty friendly and helpful. The sites are pretty narrow and close together, but it was fine for us because we spent most of our time out exploring. If the weather had been nicer (it was snowy and below freezing), it might have been a bummer to not have a lot of space outside. The facilities were ok. We were having some problems with our water freezing, so opted to use the showers and restrooms. The showers were scummy and could’ve been cleaned a bit more often, and the shower water was luke warm at best. I’d seen a lot of complaints about the trains being too loud, but it’s to be expected with the name of the park. We stayed here so we had easy access to taking the train to the Grand Canyon, and the train was a lot of fun. We enjoy the trains, so the noise wasn’t a problem to us. Overall, it was a good stay and we’d stay again if in the area.

This park is huge. Stayed 2 nights June 8-10 and it was fully booked. Sites close together but otherwise clean. Dog walk is a rock walk path around the park. Had to go across street to find grass. Stayed in area to make train ride to Grand Canyon for a full day which I recommend just to enjoy the scenery. The town of Williams in Walking distance on old Route 66 was cool. Had a car show going on that weekend which may have contributed to full occupancy. Not much noise from trains, but the access road from interstate to RV park under serious road construction. Almost too hard to navigate with big rig unless you find alternative side roads ahead of time. There are other campgrounds in area to consider as well.

We picked this spot because we wanted the hot tub to soothe our tired legs that had just hiked out of The Grand Canyon. We booked 3 nights and the hot tub was only open 1 out of the 3 times that we tried to visit it. Bummer! The location is great to achieve some Zero Drive days. It's in town and walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The place is well kept but not sparkling clean. The showers are warm enough to wash your hair but too cold to shave my legs because of goose bumps. Just 5 degrees from heaven and 1 degree too close to painful. Active train tracks are only 30 feet away. Including a midnight horn. They didn't bother us much. But you should know they happen.

We loved the train ride to the Canyon. There’s a grocery, brewery, restaurants, gift shop, and sightseeing all within walking distance. Check-in is smooth and they have a nice store with plenty of supplies at the office. The sites are a little close together but level and everything works well. The laundry and bath facilities are nice and appear well maintained. We didn’t use the showers but the laundry machines worked great and there’s a change machine on site. There is security that drives through the park regularly throughout the day. There are very active train tracks nearby. We love trains so this didn’t bother us but could bother some.

I recommend this campground to anyone going through Williams, AZ. The check-in was easy, the lady working the desk was kind and helpful. We loved how close we were to downtown Williams/Route 66. Walking to Dairy Queen each night was a plus! The paved sites are great for keeping the dust down and we appreciated all of the amenities. My kids enjoyed the playground and indoor pool. We ate dinner one night across the street at the Grand Canyon Brewery with some friends that came to town. It had great service and yummy food! The Grand Canyon South Rim entrance was about an hour north, and we absolutely loved every minute of our experience there (the hike back up from the canyon was tough, but well worth it). It was nice to have a hot tub to come back to at the campground. The only negatives are that the sites don't have much room between them (which was ok since we spent most of our time exploring) and there are trains that go by from time to time, so bring ear plugs if that bothers you. It wasn't that loud for our family. We slept just fine. What an enjoyable campground!

This is a very nice place to stop over or stay. Full hookups. Access to facilities from the adjacent hotel including indoor pool and hot tub were nice. I think the main draw is you can take the train to the Grand Canyon. (Which sounded really fun). Two things to be aware of. First, this is basically an all blacktop RV site. Meaning it’s a very large parking lot with many campers in it. That’s not a negative, just be aware. Second, it’s a solid hour drive to the Grand Canyon. So, again, be aware.

SUPER fast check in, a highly well-oiled machine in this department. Located within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Clean. Paved sites. Cable TV. Shaded BBQ area with natural gas plumbed grills for your use. Many back-in sites are literally next to the train tracks which have sporadic freight trains running all hours of day and night. Outside of paved site drives it's all lava rock. The 'dog run' is a sharp gravel trail running around the park (no grass). The hotel's pool water was unacceptable to us so we didn't use it (very cloudy & smelled of heavily used up chlorine). TONS off street legal off road toys coming in/out of park nowadays. Back 10+ years ago when I'd used the park this was not the case. T-Mobile / Sprint & AT&T were all but unusable the entire weekend we were there. Wifi was decent though. Would stay here again but I'd look around as well.

It’s a good, clean spot smack in the middle of town. Walking access to hotel, doggy day care, playground and railway. Very friendly and prompt staff. Decent camp store. The camp is extremely clean and all campers are courteous and quiet. Yes you can hear the train, no it’s not terrible. Only real gripes are that the park is entirely made up of asphalt and lava rock.

We arrived in a snowstorm and by the time we left, 3 days later it was nearing t-shirt weather. Our neighbors, who had been here for 2 weeks remarked that it had snowed 6 times since they had come and melted away just as quickly. GC Railway Park was a great place to stay on our way to the Grand Canyon. It is a large RV Park with both pull through and back in sites and can accommodate the largest of RV's and coaches. We have a 30' trailer and we were one of the smallest rigs here. The sites are all 100% black top with small landscape rock areas separating them. The rock area holds the hookups and a small picnic table. The park does require pads under jacks/stabilizers and a ramp for the septic hose. The sites are adequate even with slides extended. There is a fitness trail/ dog walk path circling the park. Grand Canyon Brewery/ Distillery is a stone throw away and the Bill Williams Trailhead is approx. 3 miles away. GC Railway Park is one of the cleanest parks we have stayed in. The laundry ( $1.75 wash and $1.50 dry)and restrooms/ showers are key card entry and are centrally located as well as garbage and recycling. There is also a picnic pavilion with a large fire pit and benches, 2 BBQ's and picnic tables for guests to use. Other park amenities include: convenience store, pet kenneling, wifi, cable, playground for kids, basketball and volleyball courts, horseshoes, swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness room. Most of these are located at the adjacent hotel, but are free for RV'ers to use. We did not use any of the hotel amenities. The one thing to keep in mind is that this IS an active train depot. If you don't like trains and the noise they make, this is NOT the place for you. The tracks run directly behind the park and while they don't run 24/7 they do pass through frequently during the day. We did hear the train whistles during the day but not at night. If you are a Passport member, they offer a 50% discount. There are certain black out dates for using PA so check the website. We stayed in a 65' pull through with hookups for $33/ night including tax. It is an easy on/easy off to get here. Our second time here. We really like thus park. Yes it is essentially an asphalt parking lot, and yes trains do go by and blow their horns. But, very clean, no rv park Nazis, and it is walkable to the Grand Canyon train, Grand Canyon Brewing, and downtown Williams. While here we had an issue with our main slide out. Had to order and wait for a new slide out motor from Amazon. Diane in the office was a gem. She allowed is to stay longer and even put a hold on our site in case we needed it longer. Wifi works great here also.

Super clean, well kept RV park. Easy on/off freeway access and check-in. Close to train depot for touring the Grand Canyon. Loved the experience. Enjoyed the brewery across the street. The negative is the trains that run adjacent to the park - the LOUD train horns continue through the middle of the night. But taking the train to the Grand Canyon was totally worth it.

Yes it is essentially a parking lot. Bit, all sites are clean and level. Nice laundry and shower facility. Most important though it is walkable distance to the train, and downtown Freight trains come through very close a few times a day.

Good place to stay for visit to the Grand Canyon by train. Great sites, showers clean, but some of the spigots were nonfunctional in the men’s bathroom! Close to the train tracks , but didn’t bother us. Great WiFi signal!

Grand Canyon was a stop on our tour of the desert Southwest. It was nice to stay just off the interstate, disconnect the trailer, and make our way up the the Grand Canyon without the extra weight, then return for the evening and dinner from the adjacent brewery. Train noise was barely discernible over the A/C (it was hot...daytime temps over 100 degrees). Bathrooms were clean and shower was sufficiently warm (a cold shower would have been in the temps we were working with). Next day, a quick connect and hit the interstate continuing our travels. It was certainly a pavement and rock world, but a nice circumferential dog walk trail with lighter color rock was available, as well as sidewalks around the park's periphery. Sites were fairly tightly packed.

Although you are basically camping in a giant parking lot (their website says it’s fully paved as an amenity), there are some nice amenities here. The best thing we’ve found is their internet - it’s fast and stable - both my kids could stream their YouTube Kids and finish their schoolwork with no problem on iPads. Only annoying part is that the complimentary Internet disconnects pretty much every day, so you have to turn off your WiFi and turn it back on and re-login constantly. DirecTV cable works, but the way they distribute the signal to each of the sites causes it to be “window-boxed” (black bars on sides and top), so you have to zoom in on your TV to get it to fill your screen (which then softens it). The main downside that we found is a freight train that comes blaring down the track at 3am. We love trains (and have stayed at other parks like Paradise By the Sea in Oceanside specifically to see trains from the RV), but this is ridiculous - it’s like the train driver does it for fun since I haven’t heard other trains blaring their horn while we are here. There is a crossing where the park is, so perhaps it’s a legal requirement but it seemed excessive at that time of night. There is a warning about the trains at check in. It is loud! I could hear it easily even with ear plugs. If you stay here, you may want to try to get a site as far away from the tracks as possible (but it might not help). Showers and bathroom were nicely updated but the showers are only lukewarm. There is a nice playground by the hotel for the kids. The pool and spa were inside and a good size, but the water was a slimy green and murky, so we didn't go in. You get a small picnic table for 4 - no fire pits. The park is very convenient to the downtown part of Williams, AZ with a supermarket just on the other side of the train tracks.

Not sure why someone would rate this place a 1 unless they live a miserable life. Park is clean with an ample number of spaces. Our site was level and more toward the center of the park. Pool, hot tub and the like are at the hotel across the way. Rail line is nearby bu not a lot of heavy rail traffic. The spot was easy to get in and out of (class A 33 foot with a toad). Long enough for both. Internet was better than most. Showers and restrooms were clean and laundry on site. 1 hour to the Grand Canyon. Good restaurants around.

First.. we loved the town of Williams, AZ. We are planning on making a return trip just to hang out downtown. The downtown area is within walking distance of the RV park. We didn't do the train ride this time.. But did go explore the Grand Canyon. It was only an hour drive to the gate. We did a video on our YT channel from here and it does have a few clips of the park and Williams. We definitely want to come back and stay a little longer next time. Our Rate reflects Passport America. They also have dog boarding on site.

We are here for the week and after reading the reviews I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the sites. We have slides on both sides and had no issues with getting them both out (we’ve been in some places before where it got a little scary) My kids love the playground shared with the hotel and the brewery & restaurant next door is super cool. We are here to be close to the Grand Canyon. It’s not a tree lined campground but it does the job for us!

Let’s start with the positives easy access,good water pressure at site,close to the train depot and good cell phone coverage. Now for the negatives tight sites, no grass in the park, not dog friendly at all, the bathhouse was in bad shape no hot water and all lavatories were closed. If you like camping in a parking lot save money and park at Walmart.

Beautiful park. Clean. Nice facilities. Laundry, showers, toilets, dog trails, paved pull in spot, picnic table at spot. Very walkable to downtown Williams and the train. Lots of restaurants nearby. Safeway walk or drive, just couple blocks. Lots of rigs, big and small. Brewery next door. I want to go back for a longer stay. RV checkin' was fast and friendly. Only con, no large shade trees yet. Planted, but not grown up. This RV spot is near everything you need. We camped at Grand Canyon Railway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel. WiFI hit/miss, not great. Train nearby, so be aware of train whistle.

It was a decent location but close to the truck stop, so you heard that at night. This is a place to park your camper while you are at the Canyon all day. That being said, that is all we needed, except a laundry. When we walked into (door wide open, no sign and saw washing machines) what we thought was a paid laundry, I was approached by a very rude man. Apparently, the machines are for their rentals. Oh yeah, it's an Airbnb too. Price was good for full hookups but there is no reason for the rude employee, so lost repeat business.

We used this as a stopover to the Grand Canyon. Park does not have paved roads and entire park is red cinder crushed rock. They have a few full time residents. Park sits on a hill and there is a new Loves truck stop that is nearing completion so i imagine noise will become a factor.

With a AAA discount we paid $39 per night. Granted it's a level clean spot and full hookups, that's all you get. The park has a lot of spots but they are all doubled up therefore they are cramped and you have to share picnic tables. There were also a ton of 'permanent residents' and just a ton of rundown trailers and RVs. We had kids knocking on our door constantly asking us if they could take out our garbage which to some may be nice but I'm sorry I'm not paying someone to take out our garbage. We got yelled at for going a few miles over their 5 mph speed limit by a rude employee. Also not to mention it's just across the street from a loves truck stop so all we heard all night was running semi trucks and people talking over the intercom. I guess you could say this is a good place to stay for one night if you're coming through but no longer. Make reservations elsewhere earlier because they fill up quickly in this area.

Check in went good, they were getting new washing machines and dryers for laundry room the day we checked in. Staff was friendly and sites were level with full hookups, including 8 channels of cable for tv., still had to use cable booster. Only a few trees so not much shade. Sites were all gravel and it tracked into camper. Sites were very narrow, short and no picnic table. Twenty or more of the sites were year round people with a lot of junk around their campers. This campground was next to truck stop, but surprisingly, we never heard noise from it. It was windy every day and warmer than usual, but still cooler than Phoenix. Restrooms and showers were clean and updated, however the only time we were in them was when we arrived and daughter had to use restroom. If you stay here on a Monday, be ready for the trash truck at 7am, so much for sleeping. The thing we liked best, WiFi had great signal and great speed. We might stay here again, but will check out other rv parks first.

Really grateful for our sweet lil' visit @ Canyon Gateway! The property is simple but sweet! Clean bathrooms with awesome hot showers and a free laundromat. The management and staff are so friendly and helpful. It was our second time ever using hook-ups so we were a little confused on how to do it all, but they were so kind and helpful!! Attached is a little path to an awesome gift shop/gas station! The town with great restaurants and the train is a quick little drive with the best window shopping and cool historic route 66! Highly recommend!

Unfortunately the Love’s truck stop right next to the camp ground negates their idea of tranquil and ability to view the night skies. Most sites are 30 amp only. Additionally it’s not very clean, and the sites are on top of each other. The staff is adequate and ambivalent and aloof at best. Having stayed at the other Williams camp grounds - there are better choices.

Level gravel sites with full hook ups. Staff was friendly. No grass at all for dogs but ok if your dog will go in cinders. No picnic tables as listed, well except on the RVs that are for rent. Not crowded at all but we were there late October. Beautiful view of Loves Travel plaza. Didn’t get much noise but we sleep with a fan. Didn’t use showers/toilets. Good Verizon reception.
