Nice park ,friendly staff, nice pool. Nice covered BBQ/Picnic area Most spaces are shaded, they have cable. The bathrooms and showers need work. There is only one set of bathrooms on site. The dump station does not appear to be operational. Great stop for overnight or a few days. Not much to do in the area.

I found the park well run, and very clean and orderly. I did hear the train 2x only and it wasn’t enough to keep me up. Nice younger couple now run the park. Great camping neighbors. Felt safe. Easy access.

As we were road weary from a long day traveling North on I-95, we looked at our "Woodalls" and selected to go to Emporia for a good night's sleep at Yogi's park. As we had previous experiences at them, that had been nice. We found this very easy off and back on the highway, the office personnel were friendly and very nice. We parked and within 30 minutes heard that awful noise, a train whistle! As we retired for the night, they didn't stop. Their tracks are very close to the park, very loud, and it sounds like they are picking up cars all night long. Just about the time I got to that good level of sleep, here came another train, very loud making the night a nightmare of no rest. And, we had a full day the next day that I could have used some sleep. Something should be noted in advertisements for parks with such problems.

Just as a note we drive a 45ft coach and tow a truck for those who are also needing a place to park a big rig. We just did an overnight here and you want to be heading south on Hwy 301 as there is no crossover to enter the park. The staff was very friendly and had plenty of local knowledge of what to do and where to go. The park itself is located in kind of a depressed area (but has no impact on the park itself) so you will need a car to reach local attractions. Sites 121 – 127 are satellite friendly and seem to be where they put short term rentals. More than half the park seemed to be made up of long term renters.

Chapter 3 Travels

We stopped here on our way down 95. It was super convenient to the highway, so that was great, and the employees who checked us in were very friendly. Otherwise, it didn't really have much going for it. It might be that it seemed a bit depressing because we stopped there in the winter and there wasn't much going on, but our overall impression was that it was kindof a parking lot. There were a lot of older rigs parked around the perimeter that did not look occupied, so those may have been in storage. Many in our section seemed to be passing through like us. There wasn't much space between the rigs and there didn't seem to be much going on. Perhaps it has a completely different feel over the summer when the pool is open and there are lots of families there. All that being said, if we were traveling up or down the east coast and needed somewhere to stay for a night, we would consider it again.
