Despite Google Maps indicating that this location was not open, I can assure you it's certainly operational, as I verified with the Army Corps before my visit. I had a seamless stay here. The area was bustling with roughly 10 assorted vehicles, campers, and boats. The cell reception for AT&T was flawless, and there was a neat vault toilet without a flushing system. Be prepared for a bit of a breeze! The place is conveniently reachable from the main road. Initially, I parked my van near the river, but the wind was quite strong, so I moved it during the night to avoid any chance of being swept into the Columbia River.

Spent the night here on our way to the Washington coast. Easy to get into with a 40’ fifth wheel and a large turn around at the end of the gravel road. Road was a bit washboard but not bad. Great view of the river. In the distance you could hear the trains but really not bad. Only four of us here last night.

Gravel road with slight washboard but no issues with our 32’ Class C. We were the only RV here with 2 other truck & car campers. Very quiet with faint sounds from interstate traffic essentially working as ambient white noise with the wind helping drown out the sounds. Trains were not an issue.

Right on the river! Road in has a bit of washboard, and there was what looked like one person living here. Otherwise a great stopover spot!

Our intent was to stay here until we saw the hot mess. Way too many rigs and kind of creepy in my opinion.

The short road from the freeway exit to the river had gravel applied recently so It was only slightly washboard-y in a few spots. Our 36’ Class A had no problem on the wide road and no problem turning around in the camping area which is, basically, a big parking area. There was one other RV there when we arrived in the morning. Two others showed up before nightfall. We parked 10 feet from the river and had a great view both up-river and down-river. If you tried, you could hear the freeway faintly. There are trains running day and night on both sides of the river. They never woke us up but we could hear them when we were awake. Not loud. More of a white noise in the distance. No horns. Ever. There is a restroom. Concrete floor, outhouse toilet, and hand sanitizer. There is also a boat ramp. Several fisherman used it during the day. The water was clear so we could see fish swimming by. We will definitely be back when passing through next time.

I arrived early enough to get a secluded spot toward the back. Only 4-5 other campers the entire time I was there but was told the weekends were crazy with duck hunters. There is something of a boat ramp. One driver that had huge trailer with horses caused problems with other campers, but I slept through it. Road was kinda rough but the area is worth it.

We stayed one night but would absolutely come back and stay more! The gravel road isn't too bad. There were a couple of other campers out and there was room for everyone. Beautiful views all around. You just get a bit of noise from the highway and some trains

We have stay here a couple of time already and it’s a great place to stay a night on our trip to the coast. You do hear the road noise and trains but it’s easy to get in and out. It’s right off the freeway there is always at least 3-4 other people here.

The East bound exit takes you under the I-84 and down to the Columbia River. The road isn't paved, just take it slow. You could turn a semi around in here. Lots of space and level enough. There was a Class C here when I arrived. Didn't really notice anyone else. There are 3 long drop toilet and a few tables West of the boat ramp. All were impressively clean. An access gate was open downriver of the boat ramp. I believe you can access the section west of the gate for more parking options. I didn't hear the freeway at all. Just wetland birds ie, kildeer, starling, blackbirds, meadowlark... As usual along the Columbia River, expect it to be breezy during the day and diminishing toward the evening.

Nice campsites right of the interstate and on the water. In June the average high was 98 and low 70s, with wind it isn't too bad. Lots of bugs*. Big rig friendly. No dump stations or water anywhere near the site.

Come park down by the river! Has a vault toilet, boat ramp, and gravel lot. No shade trees, but it's right on the river/lake. Stopped here for a quick overnight June 28 and it was super hot. This area is very windy. There were 2 other RVs when we got there in the early afternoon. Pretty out of the way, so I wouldn't worry about it filling up. The road is a little rough coming in, so just take it nice and slow. Good access for big rigs. I can't wait to go jump in the water!

When we first arrived this place didn't look like much, you exit off the I84 and drive about a mile down a gravel road to an open parking lot area and a bathroom. But once we realized that there were "sites" right along the river that were separated from the parking area it actually becomes pretty nice! At the far end of the open area there is a gated campground and cement boat launch, but it is for native american use only as a part of a salmon fishing treaty. There were people in and out during the day with net boats, but they were friendly and didn't stay overnight or cause any problems except for the fishy smell when they came back with a catch. There is a more primitive but functional boat launch in the public use part of the park, and some very primitive kayak launch spots by one of the sites. When we were there a very nice couple from nearby was staying and had the perfect corner spot that is very tucked away and they could leave their kayaks tied up all night. The sun sets downriver and you can see Mt. Hood in silhouette as it does. We had a far better time than we first expected at this place, and if you want some really nice riverside camping on the Columbia then give Quesnel a shot.

I stayed overnight here on a Saturday night (July 15). It was very windy all night long. There were several other campers, looked to be locals wind surfing in the Columbia for the weekend. I did not feel threatened at all by them. It is easy to get to, and worked for the night. Note, that it is down the road from Boardman, not at the Boardman exit. Also, there are trains on both sides of the Columbia that run all night ... it was some what noisy.

Based on all the prior reviews I did a site visit and ended up talking to a camper already onsite for the past few days. She felt quite comfortable, which confirmed I needed to spend some time here. I echo most of the prior comments. For me, being it is mid-Nov, the temps are 40s and I had the whole place to myself. Dog loved exploring all this vacant land! I kayaked out to the island. The next east bound exit is a Love's with water, fuel, light groceries and propane. The trains did come by, but since it is chilly my windows remained closed and generator periodically running... meaning, I hardly heard them. I have had much worse experiences in Colorado Springs. MIFI speeds are respectable, but as you can see... pointing the MIMO antenna to the towers you see across the river to the east had huge benefits (ping/download/upload). tmobile (36, 6, 4) verizon w/ MIMO (38, 77, 17) verizon w/o MIMO (37, 47, 14)

Rather busy, rather windy, rather noisy. Lots of traffic. Lots of bugs. Trains on both sides of the river come by through the night. Dirty bathrooms, not sure why people can’t use a bathroom without getting their fecal matter and pee everywhere. With different people and different circumstances it would be a nicer place.

Called within 30 feet of the Columbia river on a calm windless night. We could hear the trains and a tugboat but they were not a bit disturbing. Watched the fish jumping, the birds diving and saw a muskrat swim by. 3 other rigs were nearby but very quiet and clean. The road is gravel and a bit bumpy.

There isn't much here, but it is never busy. With water access, views of the river and Washington and decent internet, it's a great place for a night or two. You don't get much highway or train noise, which is nice. It's not a large area, but there are a couple private spots and then one open parking lot. Any size rig can fit and get into this area. I absolutely LOVE the river views!

Right off the freeway onto well kept gravel washboard. Really easy to get to in any vehicle. Has a clean portable bathroom to use and great river view. About 5-7 other campers and vans. Bring some bug spray in July.

Great stop on our way south from Spokane to Crater Lake. We parked right on the river. Right off the highway with gravel road. Small dock and boat ramp. Closed for overnight camping currently- whoops, didn’t get the memo, nor did the 3 other RVs that were here last night too. Very easy to access for all size rigs. Loved our river view. Bit windy last night but only pleasantly breezy this morning. Very glad we made the stop. Plenty of level parking.

We pulled up around 1:00 and noticed the no overnight sign, but chose to ignore it, as did others that were there. We parked next to the river just before entering the fenced area. It was beautiful but windy, as it typically is along the Columbia. It was 100 degrees so we didnt venture out much until later in the evening. I did not hear the highway or the trains at night.

This was a nice free place to stay for a night. Great views right on the river. The road in was easy to navigate. Seemed to be recently laid gravel. At the end of the road is a gravel lot that leads to a boat ramp. Plenty of room for several rv’ers. There was only one other RV the night we stayed. The restrooms were locked due to Covid, but there was a clean porta potty. There were 3 cars that came through at separate times after midnight and then left. There is a train track across the river and several trains throughout the night. They didn’t blow the horn, but you can hear them. Didn’t bother us too much. The flies get pretty bad at sunset, but it’s camping so it’s expected. No shade. Fishermen Start to arrive at sunrise (we had 4 show up) so don’t expect to sleep in too late. You’ll wake up as they in load their boats. We didn’t see any sign about no overnight stays. There is “rules” list by the restrooms and it just said “max stay 14 days”.

Easy access off I84. A well maintained gravel road leads to a large parking area with a few sites along the Columbia River. We opted to park along the edge of the parking area in a nice level spot. Includes water access including a boat launch. Noted a pit style toilet on premises. Beautiful views of the river. Noted some highway noise and train but not terrible.

This spot is right off I84 with a short gravel road to a handful of spots to camp right by the Columbia River. There is a little train noise but not too bad. There is a lot of wind as this is a popular wind surfing spot. The good news is that wind keeps the bugs under control. Public bathroom (pit) is there as well. Definitely would stay here again if I was looking for quick roadside camp over.

This spot is right on the water, can accommodate big rigs. We were there during the week with our 26’ TT and only saw a couple other campers. You can barely hear train or road noise. Big open gravel area with little shade. It is hot in August! 100 degrees. Vault toilet. Easy and smooth gravel road to get in. 4 bars of Verizon. I would stay again for free, maybe not when so hot though!

Right along the river. Can’t hear cars from the highway. There were around 5-6 other campers while I was here. Big turn around for RVs. There’s a pit toilet. I’d stay again :)

Good overnight stop. We felt safe and an excellent rest stop on our journey home from the Tetons. A few of the other campers looked to be long term.
