Quiet family camping with swimming, boat rentals and fishing in spring fed lakes. Shaded and open sites that are stone covered. 7 miles to NIU in DeKalb and 60 miles to Chicago. Conveniently located to downtown Sycamore.
Dogs must be on leashes. Dogs can’t swim in the lakes. Very quiet. Seasonal, monthly, and short stay sections of the park. Laundry for $. Propane fill. Water, power, and sewer at each site. Nice walk around the lake. Bike trail not far away.

We had an extended stay of three months since I was working in the area. Very clean park with a nice quiet atmosphere, even on busy weekends. Bath house and laundry are clean and well kept There’s two lakes to walk around or fish, you can kayak or rent a boat. There’s catch and release fishing and a nice little beach on the far side of one of the lakes to take a dip. Owned by friendly family who have obviously spent much time creating an oasis of relaxation. Beautiful flowers everywhere!

The site had a beautiful scenery of the lake and the grounds were kept really nice. There were two lakes that were really nice and had lots of fish but none were biting. The sites were close together but they help you park. The sites only have rocks and a shared utility which made for no privacy. They had cable hook up but no cable but they do have free WiFi that works very well. We couldn’t get any channels so make sure to bring a FireStick or smartTV. The gentleman that greeted us (I believe the owner) was not friendly at all and made it seems as if we were interrupting him, however, after reading some of the reviews we realize it’s just their personality. The guests seem nice and friendly. I highly recommend this park and will be going back.
