Sayre City Park Campground is een camping met 80 plaatsen in Sayre, Verenigde Staten. Honden zijn toegestaan op deze camping. Er zijn verschillende recreationele activiteiten op de camping. Er is een speeltuin en een midgetgolf.
Located just beside the main road, the campsite is easily accessible and simple to navigate. Most of the drive-through spots are quite even and uncomplicated. However, the remaining spots are not clearly marked and the availability of utilities like electricity and water seems inconsistent. I stayed at one of the drive-through spots, which was spacious and peaceful. The provision of water and electricity at a mere $12 is a great deal. The campsite also includes a waste disposal facility, although I didn't avail of it.

Neat and properly kept. Access to water and electricity for 12 dollars. Spent a single night during our journey from Arizona to Maine.

This is an ideal park that is neat, secure and tranquil. It provides electricity and water at a cost of $12 per night. It's an excellent location with a variety of activities for kids. It serves as an excellent pit-stop on I40 in Oklahoma.

It's simple to locate with Apple Maps. The park is flat and well-maintained. I assume there's plenty to do in the summer as the pool and mini golf were not operational. The road is very peaceful, which is beneficial as the waste disposal station is located on the highway's incorrect side. However, this wasn't an issue due to the lack of traffic. The goat heads did pose a nuisance. The only other issue was the power box in our area was too low to the ground for plugging in, but our cord was long enough to reach another box behind. We learned that the electricity is not grounded, so we shut off the ems.

Amazing find or $12 a night with water and electric hookups! We only spent one night and didn’t have any issues with the stickers other reviews have mentioned.

Wonderful campground for the price you pay! Spacious pull-through sites, and perfect location right off the highway - without the highway noise. You have water & electric hookups, and the city park does have a dump station right as you exit the campground as well. **If you are traveling with animals, be cautious of all of the spurs on the ground - they will get stuck to your dogs paws/fur. Also we counted at least 7 stray cats hanging around the park, so be cautious of that as well.**

We stayed here on our way through Oklahoma. There were only three other RVs there. There was water and electric hook-ups. It was a nice, quiet, an affordable place to stay. It is 5 minutes away from the highway. The city park is very nice. It had multiple playgrounds, a long walking path, $2 miniature golf and a swimming pool. The only downside what's the cleanliness of the bathroom. It had flushing toilets and showers, but the bathrooms were not very clean. We would stay here again in our way through Oklahoma.

We stayed here on our drive through Oklahoma. We were glad we did. It had full hookups and it was a quiet, safe, and affordable spot. The park itself is great with many playgrounds, $2 mini golf, a swimming pool, and miles of walking paths. There were only 3 other RVs there. There was flushing toilets and showers. They weren't the cleanest, but they were there. We would stay here again on our way through OK.

Nothing really special, but it’s a good overnight stop of Elk Lake is full. $12 for electric isn’t bad eaither and spots are fairly level.

This little park is wonderful! Long level sites, water and electric even in winter, and a cute little town to explore. Easy to find, quiet, we had the place to ourselves in the evening and woke up to one neighbor in the morning. Pay post at entrance to campground. Only drawback was the stray cats. Didn't take them long to find us and park themselves right outside the front door. Very hard to resist their pitiful meows They finally left about 10pm.

It was a nice park for overnight. Had a pull thru site for our 36’ Class a pulling a toad so no need to unhook. Dump station is hard to find (it’s outside the park next to the road not where you would’ve passed it coming in). Also there was a huge pothole when you first turn in to the RV area. Biggest issue was all the sticker/sand spurs! My dog had very hard time and couldn’t walk very far without getting them stuck in his paws.

What a great find, the park is only a mile or so off the freeway, tucked in a nice town park. The only tricky thing is the 1st Y intersection, no signage to get to you going to the RV park. Take a left at the Y and you'll be going in the correct direction. There are a bunch of pull through's and back ins. You pay with an envelope in the Iron Canister - Self Service. There is fuel on the way out back to I40 and you can also pick up some eats before you get back on the road.

Stopped here on our return home from New Mexico. Had been fighting a very strong crosswind all day and needed a "port in the storm". Wild Thing found the Sayre City Park here on Campendium and so we stopped. Great to be off the road and then to find such a beautiful city park with a C/G. Walking trail, couple of small lakes, golf course, pool, ball field. Did not use any of the facilities as this was just a stopover. Next morning as we were getting ready to leave we encountered a little mechanical problem and needed to get it resolved. A gentleman working for the city stopped to see if he could assist. He was so kind as to locate a place that would help us and then made sure we got there ok. We found that he was not the exception to the rule of kindness but an example as we encountered many friendly people there. Lesson learned was try the city and county parks as you will find many real gems.

Lots of wide open space at this park, with lots of little unique features great for entertaining the kids (ponds, playgrounds, fields, sport courts, even a life size "Thomas the Train"!). We came in the winter and no one else was here, so we didn't have to pay (regular fee is $12/night). Despite us being the only ones here and not having to pay, the water and electricity taps were still on and working, so we just plugged in for the night. AT&T has about 2-3 bars of LTE service here. Garbage dumpsters available to get rid of refuse. Concrete picnic table and stone fire pits at some sites. Not all sites had working water and electric, and some sites had 30 and 50amp hook ups. No sewer connection at sites, but there is a dump station. Not all sites are perfectly level, so we drove to one or two to find the perfect spot. Pull through sites available. All in all this is an excellent spot to stay for the night, even a couple days.

Stopped for a night at Sayre City Park in April 2017. The RV park is in the middle of an expansive city park with ponds, a golf course, a big playground, and a mini golf course. Not all were open, but it looks like they likely are in summer. We didn't experience much the park had to offer, as we were simply stopping over. The park was quiet and relatively clean, with minimal highway noise. There are a lot of birds to spot, and we heard coyotes right around sunset. The park itself is shaded, though not many of the RV sites have shade. Everything was green and vibrant. Verizon 4G was blazing fast - some of the fastest I've had in four months on the road. RV sites have electric and water. There is a dump station on the main park road, awkwardly placed in the road shoulder. No problems when we dumped, but during the summer a big rig may hold up traffic if they can't get fully off the road. I didn't check out the bathrooms, but others have reported they are in dire need of repairs. There are back-in and pull through sites - the pull throughs are absolutely enormous. Can likely fit a Class A and toad without unhooking. Great stop in a little Oklahoma town.

We spent one night here on our way home to Florida from Alaska after Hurricane Harvey forced us to take I-40 a lot further east than we had originally planned. This is a great little campground! For $12 a night you get water and electric and they have a dump. There are pull through sites, but we chose a back in site so the big rigs could use the pull throughs without unhooking their toads. Very clean place. My PI EMS says the power is very good. Pretty quiet place. We definitely recommend this campground if you are passing through.

The only reason I don’t give this park a total outstanding rating is due to the nasty restrooms/showers that are part of the big park, they were dirty with broken fixtures. The campground is outstanding for the price, W/E level gravel long pull through sites. The city park is loaded with activities; hiking trail, mini golf, tennis, horseshoes, pool, baseball diamond, small rodeo stadium, as well as the normal kids playgrounds. A definite good stop if traveling along I-40.

Others have described the camp well. Large pull through, easy access and several amenities in this well run city facility. And yes, sand burrs/spurs are about, keep your shoes on outside and don't track them into your sleeping place. About 5 others were camped here with us, very well spaced out, but this place could handle dozens of units. We camp in 21 ft FR Flagstaff.

This was a great little change of plans stop. $12 a night! With water and electricity 4 bars with AT&T streaming and zoom worked great . Showers and toilets HEATED Which was nice because it was in the 30’s at night. MANY open spots! Only negatives were stickers of the thousands ð we just lost our dog but, it would have been so hard to have her walk here. Thus the four stars

Beautiful little park wig golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool, mini golf, 2 play grounds, and small pond by golf course. Handicap accessible with paved walking paths. There is a dump, hook ups to water and electricity, several pull through spots, shade trees, gravel and paved roads. There are goat heads. They are all over Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona. If they are too terrible for you to bear, there is always a wal-mart parking lot somewhere. Our Shih Tzu was able to manage.

Follow blue signs that take you to campground. Instructions for payments are at the entrance of the park. Road noise from freeway but not bad, electric and water hookups. Pull throughs, back ins and tent camping available. Grassy areas some sites with picnic tables. Bathrooms available but did not use them. There is a dump right outside park. Great cell coverage, will stay again when passing through this town.

This place is awesome! Long, Level gravel site with grass on both sides (pull through.)The water service looked brand new. Easy hookups. We didn’t use the dump. Trash disposal was convenient. Payment was easy/no contact. Bring cash. Several nice playgrounds for kids of all ages. View of a nice golf course. Quiet. All of this for only $12. (My husband told me to write a bad review so we can keep it to ourselves. Lol)

We stopped and looked around, looking for a shaded spot. Backed in and got all leveled off, to find out the water was shut off for 2/3 of the park. Moved to another site got setup realize the dogs feet were covered with little prickers. ******Every Time I let the dogs out and have to remove at least 10 prickers from their pads.******** I had already dropped money in the money box.

We stopped here for a night on our was across the country. We've been boondocking and staying at truck stops so this was a welcome respite. We're in the dead of winter so the bathrooms were closed but all the sites have power and water hookups. There was only one other camper here so the place was basically a ghost town.

Stayed here one night in September 2020. Very convenient for an overnight along I-40. Quick in, Quick out. We chose a pull-through and didn't unhitch. Very quiet. Only one other camper when we arrived at 5:30 pm, about three more arrived after us. Most were up and on their way by sunup. $12 includes water & electricity. Pay via a self-serve drop box. We did not use the bathroom facilities so I can't rate them. Beats the WalMart parking lot!

Stayed here overnight and was very surprised at how nice this park is for the money. It has super clean showers and bathrooms, great pullthru and regular sites, great wifi, electric and water and a dump. It has a great layground for children and good biking paths around campsites. Flying J, Mcdonalds etc nearby right off I-40.

The stickers are bad. You'll be picking them out for days. HeeHee. How can you beat 12 bucks for electric and water? Try this: put plastic bags over your shoes and then take the bags off before you go inside. Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until it was almost time to leave. On the east side there are about a dozen regular RV slots close together. Otherwise there is a big grass field with electric pedestals, water outlets and fire pits. Another warning, all those 50A electric pedestals were reading "Open ground". If that bothers you. The electric seemed to be fine in the slots. Still really a nice, cheap, fairly quiet place.

Great city park a short distance off the interstate that offers many back-in sites and a section of about 12 pull-through sites, all with water and electric, many sites with partial shade. Adjacent to the RV park are tennis courts, a playground and golf course. There were only four other rigs the Wednesday night we stayed so there was no trouble getting a site with shade. Select a site, then fill out an envelope at the entrance and deposit $12 cash. We didn’t check the restrooms and showers as we use our own. There’s a dump station at the street that requires pulling into a narrow parking spot on the “wrong side” of the street to use it. Using the dump station wasn’t a problem on a Thursday morning but at a busier time this arrangement creates a hazard on the roadway. Overall, the City of Sayre provides great facilities at a great value.

Such a great place to stay with a small town flare. The campground has pull through and back in. Right in middle of a wonderful city park with swimming pool, mini golf for only $2, walks and children's play area. We played golf at same location, two locals let us borrow their clubs. How cool is that? We'll stay there again.

Spent one night here while making tracks West. Great park for such a small town. Signage could be a little better directing you to the camping area once you enter the park, but you’ll find you’re way. If you’re a golfer, they have a nice looking course. We just about had the whole place to ourselves. I only saw two other RVs show up and they just dropped them off and left, probably visiting locals. Only downside was that there were lots of sand spurs. The location is great, right off of I-40 with a fueling station right at the interchange. Sites are grass and some are more level than others. We didn’t want to unhitch and we’re a bit off kilter, but we lived with it.

One word - GOATHEADS! Never seen or felt - so many! Beautiful city golf course, walking paths, small pond with geese at entrance, charming - right next to this goathead farm. Carry your small animals away from the RV park onto the golf course (poop bags in hand of course!) and check your larger animals paws, snouts, etc. Sites are full of goatheads - in the driveway gravel, side of site, everywhere. Even if you don't have animals - the goatheads will attach to your shoes, you will forget to check the bottoms of your shoes and the goatheads then travel with you into your RV - and then you walk around barefoot in your RV and one, two, more will attach to your bare feet. And you will sweep and pick them out of your rugs - and still find more the next morning. It saddens me to write this honest review. Also more signage would be good. It is a really great campground in all other respects but the goathead issue - and it is a big enough of an issue, that we cannot return to Sayre City Park campground.

This should be a four or five star rating based on location, access to I-40, quality of the facility (with one exception), and price but the entire experience was marred by the incredible number of Goatheads all over the camp site. Every time one of us went outside we had to remove our shoes and spend several minutes removing hundreds of Goatheads from the soles. Despite our efforts any of these little land mines found their way into our rig which we promptly found while walking around barefooted. I pity anyone with a dog that would need to be walked. Verizon cell data signal was barely sufficient to stream video and T-Mobile was nonexistent.
