A short drive and you are in the Baviaanskloof, Groendal Nature Reserve or the Longmore Forest which all offer spectacular views and trails. If you are not feeling adventurous, breathe in the valley while you enjoy personal pleasures from a sunny deck or in a quiet pool.
Our accommodation is perfect for backpackers visiting the Port Elizabeth area or a weekend getaway for everyone. Sleep in a comfortable bed in a tented room and wake up to a view over the valley or share the bunk house with a few of your friends.
A basic DStv package means you won’t miss any sport but you will miss the stars if you get stuck into any movies. The TV is on a separate system that will only last two hours after the sun goes down.

Sand River Getaway is an eco-getaway where we are trying to live a sustainable existence, with the hot water and the fridge using gas and lights in the Center being solar powered. Our water comes from a borehole and is delicious. These elements of our establishment mean we urge guests to be mindful and understanding when using facilities.
