We enjoyed a two-day stay in an overflow area right beside the beach. If you're self-sufficient, it's advisable not to make a reservation and choose the overflow area as it's more affordable and provides access to amenities like potable water, waste disposal station, restrooms, and showers, which are impressively clean! The location is even nearer to the water than the regular campsite. There's also a charming trail by the lake that you can explore. The cost is $25, a saving from the usual $40.

We reached our destination at 10 o'clock on a Sunday, right after the balloon festival, which was our initial error. There was only one drinkable water point close to the waste disposal area. After a 45-minute wait and having disposed of our waste, it was finally our chance to access the drinkable water. However, we were then instructed to head to the park's opposite side to utilize another drinkable water point.

In 2022, I spent my Christmas holiday on the western coast of Arizona, specifically at Lake Havasu. It was a delightful experience that I plan on repeating annually. I stayed at a premium campsite that cost $40 per night, slightly more expensive than the standard $30 sites. The premium sites, including mine which was site number 3, were located closer to the beach and offered more privacy. I was also conveniently near the bath house. The view of the lake was breathtaking (see attached pictures). Most of the campsites within this campground offer a lake view, even those that aren't directly on the beach. The best sites for beach proximity are 2,3,7,8,10,14,16,34,36,38,40,41, and they tend to book up quickly. I secured my spot in late August for a December trip and will be on the lookout for cancellations for next year's Christmas. If budget isn't a concern, camping cabins are available at $119 per night with a waterfront view. The campsites are well-maintained, level, and equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. Some even have covered picnic tables. There's minimal shade due to the sparse, small trees, which is great for winter but could be less ideal in the summer heat. The campground is divided into two sections: the Cabin Loop and Windsor Beach. The former has a few campsites with obstructed views and cabins with RV hookups at an extra $30 charge. Windsor Beach offers sites with water and electric hookups and is divided into a North and South section, the latter being closer to London Bridge. Each section has a well-maintained bathroom with individual toilet and shower rooms. The bathrooms are unisex and quite clean. I didn't use the showers due to the lack of heating and the somewhat cold weather. The showers operate on a push-button system that requires constant pushing to maintain water flow. The campground is within walking

Stop by the drive through lane for your pass. Many restaurants and stores right out of the park. Bathrooms were average. Electric and water were operational. Good hiking up the road at SARA, and there is a 2.4 mile trail in the park. Take the cheap ferry boat ($4/round trip) across the lake to the casino. Some power boat noise from the lake, but not bad. AT&T cell service was excellent, 5 bars of 5G. We didn't need the booster.

First time trying the state park as we have boondocked in Lake Havasu before. We had a nice site, easy access to water and to the London Bridge. A bit warm (late April) and lots of bugs, but we played in the water often to stay cool. Water and electric only, with a dump station and potable water (there is a sign) near the entrance of the park. We parked our semi in the overflow parking area, but the sites do allow your tow vehicle on it. Plan well ahead for reservations as this is a popular park to stay in. They are updating their reservation system which will hopefully be an improvement as I could not make a reservation online a year before and talked to someone to reserve. I do recommend this place, maybe earlier in the spring, fall and winter, unless you do not mind the heat as it is one of the hottest places in Arizona.

Initially, just needed a place to spend one night. You have to reserve about a year in advance for campground. Only had spots in overflow lot right next to beach. No hookups (don’t need them) but had showers, dump station and potable water. Ended up staying 4 nights. Excellent! Great town.

This is a very busy city area so there was no walk-in vacancies at the actual State Park campground. We did however stay in the overflow parking lot right at the beach and close to the kiosk. It was fine for us as an overnight rest stop, but you could tell by their set-ups that many RV'S were here for multiple nights. We would NOT like that at all. It's a parking lot...At least there were restrooms with hot showers very close by, yay...The winds can really howl in this parking lot and there is zero protection. We were glad to move on the next windy morning.

Traveling thru we stopped for a night boondocked in over flow right next to the beach. Big spaces first come first serve. We have 2 young kids they loved staying so close to the lake. The have a shower house and restroom but we didn’t use them.

Pros: Lots of space between RV's, the beach, the sites have BBQ grates, fire pits, picnic tables & covered areas, pretty sunsets & sunrises. I think the draw is proximity to Lake Havasu obviously and for people who swim or love walking along a beach. Cons: Very Noisy (street, jets & aircraft - 2am planes), no place to walk dogs other than streets and rock strewed roads, dismal (gross) bathrooms (think prison cells) absolutely no grass or park. Note if you have hounds like us: The campground is FULL of quail and rabbits which were a terrible distraction to our 2 hounds. Because you can only have dogs on the streets and they are rabbit-bush lined, it was a constant battle to keep them from hunting the critters that darted out in front of us while we walked.

Nice double dump that you can access going into our leaving the park. We were only here for dump + fill, which was a $15 fee. Potable water available at the far left dump lane (if you are entering the dump from the pay station). There is a trash can here, though they give you a tag that says "no trash". They reserve the dump from 11-1 daily so camp users can use it (we arrived during this time and were allowed to use it still, but they were clear that if there had been a line, we would not have been able to use it).

Got a last minute reservation to stay here for 3 nights starting New Years Eve. After we got to the park we knew right away we wanted to stay longer. Luckily, we were able to piece together a total of 10 nights. We were in site 13, 1, and back to 13. No complaints about either site. The rangers and hosts take a lot of pride in this state park. They rake the rocks and keep it tidy. One of the few parks I actually see people cleaning the sites between campers. Sites were water & electric. They do have a dump station available along with potable water. In addition to the reservable sites they do have dry camping in an overflow lot for $25/night. That gives you access to the state park, bathrooms, showers, and dump station. Dump station alone is $15. Walking trail available in the park (they have signs up saying no bikes). Short walk to the channel and up to the village and the London Bridge. Verizon signal was OK. There were times that it was slow for basic internet searching. I would definitely stay here again. In my opinion, the only sites I would not want to stay in are 22 & 23. The only views that those 2 sites have are the overgrown shrubs.

This location is about 3.5 hours from our home and we didn’t know what to expect. The campground is gorgeous, clean, and well-maintained. We were in site 2, which was just a short walk to the lake. We were bringing our dogs and electric bikes, so we wanted to figure out the most efficient way to get to into town. We took a long walk on the first night and discovered that we could get to the old English Village, on foot, from the south end of the park. The sunsets were gorgeous and the lake is clear and beautiful.

We've been camping at this state park for years. Our favorite site is 3 & We've never had a problem with Reservations until this year. We had a Reservation for last fall, but had to cancel as I was in the hospital. This trip was to celebrate our 50th Anniversary & we were So looking forward to it. After a 6 hour drive we pulled up to our site & found it occupied! Back at the Check in we were told that we had Not reserved that site but one on the Cabin Loop! The explanation was that since our last visit the park had allowed campers to rent the rv spots Next To the Cabins, whereas 2 years ago these could only be rented along with a cabin rental! The site we wound up with was Not very satisfactory. Limitted lake views & little privacy. MORAL of the Story: You need to Specify Which Loop you are reserving- the Cabin Loop or the Main Loop!! Caveat Emptor!!

We originally were going to stay two days but stayed an extra day. Nice spaced out sites with water and electric. Showers are a little dated but acceptable. So much to do around Lake Havasu City. Swimming and beach was very nice with lots of rangers on hand so we felt very safe here. Beautiful sunsets! We will be back again.

What a great state park campground!. Clean, well maintained. grounds and sites. Spacious sites with nice picnic table and sun-cover. Acceptable bathrooms though I use my own bathroom most of the time. A short ride to London Bridge. AT water's edge with nearby boat launches. I saw many boats parked at sites with RVs. Good AT&T cell service. Some of the boats on the lake are noisy. Nights were quiet.

I stayed here for three nights. There are beaches there which are nice however dogs aren’t allowed at the actual beaches which is a bummer. Otherwise I felt safe, it was clean, and for 35 dollars (weekday price) I got water and electric (very important so I could run my AC due to 90 degree temps). There are okay showers available. Dump station available as well 🤍

Easy access to the lake/beach if you want to put in a kayak or paddle board. Most sites offer little privacy but are good size. Close to bike trails, restaurants and shopping.

Incredibly quiet location, even though this is right near all of the London Bridge action. We were not here during boating season, so that quiet solitude would certainly change with boat traffic. What I also loved was the space between the sites. Sunsets were phenomenal.
