$15 is the off-season rate. Water is off. Stayed at site 31 on the North loop. Pretty level. Large fire ring. Picnic table. Verizon service but low. Dock at lake area to fish from.

I’ve camped in many places across the country, but this may be one of the most relaxing and peaceful places that we’ve ever stayed. Nestled in the tall Forrest in Southern Indiana, the camp sites are spacious and offer privacy from other campers. The facilities are extremely clean and well managed. The camp hosts are all very friendly. If you need ice or firewood, you can call them and the will deliver to your site

I have camped here before the campgrounds were built and continued visiting regularly over the last 30 years or so. Nice campsites, narrow but nicely paved roads, two lakes (good fishing in Indian Lake) and OK showers and toilets. There are both electric and non-electric sites. Non electrics sites are cheaper but motorhomes with generators show up at these sites sometimes. This is a beautiful campground and is more heavily used by Kentuckians who come across the river than by Hoosiers. Indiana's no-limit bluegill fishing brings em across for coolers full. Hence, once great bluegill fishery is now a small bluegill fishery. Campsites are all wooded, so don't count on being able to place your RV satellite dish or even your solar panel(s). If you hike anywhere, be sure to cover yourself and clothing in DEET. Ticks are everywhere, and Indiana is a Lyme Disease state. I have only been back twice since the place was privatized. It just isn't as clean or as secure feeling as when a forest ranger in uniform used to drive and walk through. Still the best public lands campground in Indiana. Dump station is down the road a bit. Bring your senior pass for 1/2 price. Nice, isolated and beautiful.

This was a nice reprieve from staying over night in parking lots! Sites are well spaced and wooded. We stayed in the off season so prices were low but not free. $5 for non-electric sites (north face CG) and $10 for electric sites (south slope CG). The On Season appears to be April-October. The water was turned off so bathrooms and showers were locked up. No water hook ups at sites and the dump is down highway 37 a bit further. All in all we enjoyed our short stay here!

Very nice campground. The 2 different sites we stayed in were large. But the interior roads are narrow making it a challenge to get into. The site we stayed in on the way home was super nice, close to the bathroom, and had great separation from neighbors.Showers were nice. Electric hookup. Wish we could have spent more time there.

Nice sites with electric. Sites are big but the road is narrow making it a challenge to get into some of them. Staff friendly, shower houses decent.

I have been camping at this unit of the Hoosier National Forest for decades. It has always been good to excellent and still is. Very quiet in the hills of southern Indiana. Great scenery in fall. Fishing good in Indian Lake just down the interior road for bluegill, redear, crappie and channel catfish. You will need a boat though. There are two campgrounds on the same road. Both good, about the same in every way. Lots of room between sites. And, it is just off I64 between Louisville and Evansville, IN. Dump station available. Elec. hookup available at some sites, water hookup not available so you need to either fill up by hand in CG or bring it with you.

We stayed here one night in July 2014. This campground is convenient to I64 and was nearly deserted midweek. There may have been 4 other campers the night we were there. We camped in the South Slope loop of the campground. We had electric at our site and drinking water was available at different spots around the campground. Flush toilets at the large bathhouse and I think vault toilets other areas in the loop. Shower stalls at the bathhouse were large and convenient for those of us who need to assist children bathe in an unfamiliar shower. The camp host sells firewood which he delivered to our fire ring moments after we arrived. We woke to find deer wandering around the campground. The most impressive thing was how clean this campground was. From the bath house to our campsite we didn't see a single speck of trash. Not even those clear juice box straw covers that seem to be everywhere. Cleanliness was impressive.
