Free camping on the edge of a semi-natural lake between Echuca and Shepparton, VIC
There is a central toilet block, playground and barbecues, and the camping area is along the shore for about 1km either side of this. It is very open around the waters edge, but if you prefer some shelter/shade, there are a couple of more bushy sites back from the water. This a popular spot with the grey nomads, and locals on long weekends, however the camping area is very large and there is room for all. There is a fairly good quality boat ramp, and in the warmer weather it is popular for water skiing and fishing. There have previously been incidents of "anti social behavior, from some of the locals however have not heard of any problems recently. The lake is a natural basin that was converted into water storage in 1968 and is still used to supplement irrigation in the region.
