We stayed Sun-Tue because when booking about a month out it said there were no Saturday spots available. The campground was clean and the roadways were well maintained, but narrow. As others stated, this park is primarily for permanent or semi-permanent mobile homes and larger RVs. Nightly spots account for only a few dozen. We had a pull through spot (E25) with power and water, which had excellent shade and was relatively level. In and out was very easy, including using the dump station, which is saying something because this was our first ever trip using our new 22ft TT. The facilities were clean but could use some TLC. This place had a Summer Camp vibe that was cool but felt a little dated. Noise was low, everybody was very respectful and friendly. The beach was about as nice as you can expect for an inland lake. There was plenty of clean sand. The playground equipment needs to be replaced throughout (but I’m biased as a Park District worker). We didn’t rent boats or other water craft but saw plenty of others doing it. The ice cream from the store was fantastic! And the location just a couple of minutes from Woodmans made it super easy to camp with kids because we could easily run to get whatever we needed. We plan on returning here again next year for a longer stay! Great way to start out as new RVers

It's not all bad, but bad enough that I wouldn't go back. From the start, things are not promising. The road long winding road into the park is very narrow and bumpy, and trees and wires hang over the road very low, so our RV was getting hit with branches. Then you wind around forever to get to the office, then wind around back to your spot. It is nerve-wracking if you have a big RV (ours is a 37 ft 5th wheel). The spots are tiny and narrow, and ours was not level, so that was a challenge, too. This is a big, sprawling park. I would estimate that over 98% of the park is not RVs, it is mobile homes permanently anchored in place. There are maybe a couple dozen spots for people who are not permanent out of the hundreds in the park. This would not be a problem, except even those few dozen spots seem to be people who are back every weekend and all know each other. And they are there to party. All night. VERY loud. There is no enforcement of quiet hours, so either prepare to stay up or have a good white noise source in your RV. There is a beach, and it looked sandy, but my family said it was just rocks. There is a lake, but it is really just a glorified swamp. It's not all bad, though. There are lots of mature trees. You are far away from the road, so it is quiet when the other people are not partying and yelling (that is mostly on weekends). The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The permanent people seem to care about the place and take good care of their own places. The sprawling nature of the park means if you want to walk you can go all over the place and not repeat your walk. Overall, though, the noise and party atmosphere spoiled it for me. We do this full-time, I cannot be kept away by drunks with bad taste in music until 2AM.

We stayed as it was close to my work. Lot’s of family friendly options for everyone. We enjoyed the pool, beach area, and laundry facilities. Everyone was respectful of quiet hours. I was a little bit daunted after reading the last reviews, which does not match up with our experience. The road leading in is paved and a little rough but not bad. The trees are well trimmed and it’s obvious the owners take pride in the park. I have a Pepwave router and roof mounted Mobile Mark antenna. Able to get both Verizon and ATT some times during the day one was a little stronger than the other and the router would automatically switch between the services. We ran our TV off an iPhone 12 hotspot with no issues. This is on our list of stay again parks! 35” 5th wheel and F350 long bed Plenty of space!
