Buyskop Lodge offers accommodation in unique self-catering chalets. All of this and more situated on a private game reserve in the malaria-free paradise of the Waterberg Mountains and within easy driving distance from Johannesburg and Pretoria Each of our beautifully thatched chalets feature two elegant bedrooms and a separate wheelchair-friendly bathroom with shower, basin and toilet amenities. One bedroom has a Queen size bed and the other bedroom two single beds, which can be moved together if you wish. There is a comfy lounge area, furnished with two sleeper couches, for your relaxation. Chalets have a fully equipped kitchen with all necessities for aspiring culinary experts, and braai facilities are provided. The chalets are situated around a dam so don't be surprised to receive visits from giraffe, impala, kudu, bushbuck, zebra and various other species while you have your sundowner! Further facilities such as a new swimming pool and kids playground with swings and sandpit are available for you to use. Take your binoculars and camera, relax, experience tranquility and watch nature unfold itself before you. The abundance of game in the reserve will take your breath away.Eigenschappen camping

Firstly when we arrived we were advice to call Jan to open the Gate, he told us that will find the key at the door, for me it was not a proper welcoming, secondly we were allocated chalets no 1, the shower curtains were very dirty, i came with my Husband and 2 Teenagers, we took a walk to look at the place and pool, as it was a hot day, the pool was also dirty, we have to go out to Bela Bela Lodge to swim there and pay R100 per person. But inside the chalets the rooms were clean and linen.

When we arrived at the gate apparently an email was send but I was not using emails as I was already on holiday. The sms received did not indicate the Chalet Number. I found this very impersonal and would have liked to meet Jan or Theresa during our stay. The pool was not clean. It seems that some of the Chalets are still under construction with weeds all over and a larger building under construction used for storage and needs to be cleaned up. The Chalet 6 was clean and Anna the chef/supervisor was very friendly and showed us around in the Chalet. The curtain/blind is missing in the kitchen and also at the glass door and not very private as people can look into the Chalet specially at night when the light is switched on in the lounge. Otherwise Ok. As no airconditioner or TV provided I would rate this 3 Star.

The 2 guests absolutely loved their stay. Food was excellent, accommodation very nice, relaxing environment. Jan dealt with the request to place a rechargeable light in the unit, when the power went out,within an hour of requesting it. Happy to say that the guests will gladly go back again.

What a well run venue. We had an excellent stay and recommend this venue as an escape from the city. The staff and host went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

.My rating for the Breakfast is 10/10. They have fully catered for Lactose and Gluten intolerance. The Security is good. The owner is only a phone call away. As a Senior Citizen I felt very safe. Should there be a small problem and you report it, it is attended to immediately. I have stayed in the Chalet but viewed the camping site and would gladly stay at the Camping site. The Staff are friendly and helpful. As we all know Covid 19 was devastating. Please support and promote small Lodges and Camping sites. They depend on us to become profitable again, and they so dearly deserve it.
