This was one of the best campsites we have visited while traveling all 48 states! Hands down it was the best independent RV park. Thank you for making our visit to Grand Rapids memorable.

This RV resort is super nice and well maintained, all the staff are friendly and responsive. The pool is heated a bit so it’s not freezing, they keep it nice and clean. The laundry facilities are in great condition with a coin machine inside in case you need more quarters. There is a gated dog area. There are LOTS of fun activities for kids, like basketball court, the big pillow bouncy pad and other games, Friday nights they have a glow ride night and Saturdays they have bouncy houses and a food truck. Their little store has ice cream, snacks, toys, pool things and s’more stuff, lots of little things you might need like a toothbrush or a sewing kit. The people that come here tend to be locals who have been coming for years, so you know this is a nice and safe location. I recommend.

Families love this place. Amenities include a pool, jumping pillow and weekend activities like bounce houses, foam party and food trucks. We have lots of family in the area and it was a great spot. Sites D01 and D02 have concrete pads and lovely decks. They just laid new rock on the west side spots and the inside set on the north. Sites vary on power level or sewer availability. Many sites have electric monitoring too. They get busy on weekends but clear out on weekdays. Prices vary by weekday or weekend for the same spot. They charge an extra fee to lock your spot. Cell service was spotty. Bathroom showers are along the hallway to the pool, feel a little exposed with just a shower curtain in a busy area. Easy access to the 131 and M6 freeways.

Although they are only officially listed as open for seasonal camping during winter, I called and found out that they do offer electric-only sites if you are in need of camping for a night or two. We stayed here in early November and it served it's purpose quite well. The self-service check-in for off season was easy enough and the dump station was still open as well. There are lots of pretty trees here and plenty of amenities.

We needed a campground close to some family who live in Dorr. This was the only one available. Boy did we luck out. The campground is small and right in the middle of a subdivision but you would never know that. The trees are full grown. The atmosphere is outdoor fun and play. People filled the place and were coming and going. Rarely was there a spot open. The pool was refreshing and crystal clear (no nasty scum). The activities and sports areas were well worn but used and kids laughed and played on them all. The glow ride, foam play and dunk tank were awesome and definitely different than what we normally see at other places. Our stay was great. We would go again and have already tried to get back there this season but the dates we needed were booked. If you want to go.....book early !

Woodchip campground is the perfect spot for short term or long-term stops...and for part-time RVers or full-time! It's family friendly and extremely clean and quiet. They have a nice pool and a large grassy dog park. On the weekends there are activities for kids. The staff/customer service is top notch. I highly recommend Woodchip!
