The campground is very pretty and well maintained. 2 loops: sites 1 thru 18 and sites 19 thru 28. Sites 19 thru 28 are along Tea Creek and seemed to be pretty busy. All sites are spaced out with privacy. Dry camping but with water available to fill jugs. Vault toilets and bear-proof trash bins. No dump station. No cell service. Lots of hiking in the area with 3 trails starting at the campground (in the picnic area). The best hike we took was the Tea Creek trail; about 3 miles along the creek and ended at a shelter for backpackers. Heard an owl and coyotes while sitting around the campfire one evening.

We didn't stay at this campground but camped nearby at the Williams River Designated campsites. We were impressed with how large and private the sites were at this campground. Some of the sites were along a creek. Good hiking from the CG. Not busy mid-week in May.

The Tea Creek Campground is well maintained with clean vault toilets, trash bin, large gravel sites with easy access from the paved scenic highway. It is a great basecamp for hiking the Tea Creek Area and the Cranberry Wilderness Area. Alpine peaks surround the campground which is located along the Williams River and Tea Creek. Topographical maps of the area can be purchased at the USFS Cranberry Visitor Center. This is a dry camping experience with no dump station or hookups. A well hand-powered water pump is centrally located at the campground and locals frequent this campground for the cold, crisp drinking water. Generators are permitted. This is a remote campground with paved access roads, a rare combination. We saw a black bear at this campground during our second visit.
