Nice place by the River, clean sites, but they are a little tight. Full hook ups, when we stayed, we were told that we needed to be self sufficient, because the bathhouse was under renovations. Not a place for children, there is nothing to do, except fishing, and no safe access to water swimming. No pool, no basketball court, no activities in house. BE ADVISED they have a “No Cancelation” Policy (which is not listed on the rates/website), so make sure you pay weekly. We had an emergency and had to go back home early, and lost 6 days which we had paid in advanced. The place is very peaceful and about 17 minutes from the big city. (We will come back only cause I have 6 days of Credit given by manager) Unknown if and went we’ll be back!

Don't even waste your time calling this place. My wife called to make a reservation for our family. We have lived in our RV for over a year now and traveled all over the US. We are a family of 7. When my wife called they took all her information (including her DL #, which just seems really weird) and they made it seem like it would be no problem to get a site. They said they would call us back with the total when they get it together. So we think we are good to stay there. This was on Tuesday. She called them again to follow up on Saturday, no answer. Called again on Monday. No answer. She emails. No response. Keeps calling. No response. She finally gets a hold of them over a week later and they inform us we have too many people and we can't stay there unless we rent a second site. Garbage! I am so glad we don't even get the opportunity to give them our money. It would have been ok if they would have told us that right away or even called back within a day. But to ignore us is just rude and inconsiderate especially considering how hard it is to get reservations these days. Again, don't even waste your time calling this place.

We spent a week here while visiting Asheville. It was just about 30 minutes from downtown Asheville and about an hour from Smoky Mountain National Park. It was perfect for us wanting to see both! The campground was a bit outdated and needs some upgrades, but we were fine with no frills. I think they know this so they charged a lovely $25 a night for full hook-up! They are under new ownership, so they are still figuring some things out... so there is no “campground office” and not many amenities. But again, we have everything we need in our RV so we were happy. There are several sites across from a fairly picturesque river. There are a lot of regulars and people that probably live there. The sites are fairly close together, but we still had enough room for our dogs to be on leads. OH, and their WiFi was awesome! For the price, we’d definitely stay again!

This is a great, no frills campsite near The Blueridge Parkway, Asheville and the Smoky Mountains. We stayed a week in late October 2018. The leaves had not changed completely yet, but the area is beautiful. This campground is essentially a field with a creek/river right beside it. No amenities here which is perfect for us because it is cheaper, and we don’t normally use the amenities anyway. All the spots are full-hookup and can accommodate most any size RV. The campground has several full-time residents. If you are staying less than one month, you are in a different part of the campground which when we were there was not busy at all. If it were busy, I think it would be a small issue because the sites are close together. Even though the sites are grass, we had no trouble leveling. We didn’t even need levelers. The owners are very nice and meet you there to help back you in and make sure you have everything you need. The campground is very quiet and dark at night. Made for good sleep at night. The best thing about this campground is the location. We don’t mind driving 30 minutes to an attraction and there were many things to do in that radius. Easy access to the Blueridge Parkway and close to hiking and other attractions in Asheville. Also, easy access to gas and groceries. Hotspot for AT&T and Verizon were both good with 3-4 bars of 4G LTE. We would have stayed an extra week, but our next campground was having a special, so we had to get out early to take advantage of it. When we are back in the area, I will be giving them a call to stay again.
