W/E/S-Paved spot but kinda a tricky grade to level your camper on. Very friendly office staff. The campground was very quiet with a little road noise from passing cars, but it didn't bother us and we slept with the windows open. There was a bathhouse, but we didn't check it out. Convenient places to grab a quick bite to eat and gas. Each row of campers was separated by woods in front and behind us. The campsites were pretty close together left to right, but we had an open site next to us that made for a spacious evening.

The RV campground is close to the main entrance of the forest, also a great spot for checking out DC and surrounding battlefields. The park is on NPS grounds and was built in the 70s. Being on federal property limits the upgrades that needs doing. The WiFi is useless and the spots are super small and tight. I highly recommend paying the $10 site lock for any rigs over 40ft. Get the back in spots on the F row, more privacy and shade. The staff is quite nice and the bathrooms are always clean.

This is a small but great RV park for traveling to the DC area. Convenient to 95 for travel downtown to DC or to local attractions like the Marine Corps Museum. Very quiet at night and the absolute cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen at an RV park (you rock Bill - Semper Fi)

Paid $61 per night for 2 nights here after Good Sam discount. Full hookups (50amp, water, sewer). Stayed in site F15 The front office service was very friendly. The F loop (back loop where we stayed) is the best loop to accommodate larger rigs like ours (42' 5th wheel) but it was still a bit tricky to navigate. The roads are somewhat narrow and each site has metal fence poles indicating the boundaries with the road so you have to maneuver around a bit to fit back into the site while avoiding trees on the front of you and the poles on those front corners. Not too terrible to back in, but a bit awkward. It's pricey, but it's also located just 30 minutes from downtown Washington, D.C. so the price was expected. Very quiet campground. We didn't hear anything from our site near the back.

We’ve stayed here twice. First time was for two weeks (did not submit review but site was close to bathrooms and noisy). Second time for 8 days and chose a site (for additional fee) away from bathrooms. I really like accessibility and the park hosts are very nice. Situated on the edge of the Prince William Park so very picturesque in fall. The main negative is the sites are close and tight and our 33 ft trailer was difficult to get in/out of the site.

I guess I shouldn't expect to have much room in a big metro area like DC, so I supposed this is just what you get. * Access: Getting here from I-66 or I-95 is fairly easy, but be prepared for traffic. Access to the actual sites is quite challenging due to very narrow roads and rigs hanging out into said narrow roads (see more in Site Quality). * Location: Not bad for a big metro area. Close to I-95 and all of the DC metro and surrounding areas from there. Grocery stores, Target, CVS, etc. within a mile or so. * Cleanliness: Clean facilities and grounds.Nice bathroom; didn't use showers or laundry. * Site Quality: Very narrow and close together. In order to remotely fit into the site you have to park a bit diagonally, which then leaves no room for your vehicle and there isn't much overflow parking for those. Sites seem too short (even if diagonal). These D sites are stated to accommodate up to 40' but most of us are hanging out into the road, either in front or back (pull-thru sites with loop roads around). The loop roads are VERY narrow. It would be nice if a park attendant brought you to your site to help you get situated correctly; normally I think that's silly but at this park it seems necessary so that one bad parker doesn't block all others. For example, there's a motor home here now parked too far back in the site so is hanging out into the road on which you drive in before pulling through. It's in an exact spot where there's a wooden walkway feature just off the other side of the road so there's no room to even drop tires off the road to go around the rig. If this rig had been here when we arrived we would not have been able to get past him; would have had to back out of the loop and not get to our site at all. * Noise: Lots of highway noise from Hwy 234, especially if you're in loops A or B. But I don't know how you avoid this in a big metro area; it is what it is. * Wifi: had it for a short period when we first arrived on a Sunday. Since then there has been no internet. There's a wifi access point just outside my door so I have wifi access, but there's no internet available. No big deal, at least there's good Verizon coverage. * Price: expensive but, again, I guess that's just normal for this area. They also charge you more if you arrive early.

May 8- 22 2019 Very tight parking had to be careful on the road going past the parked trailers and RV as there was very little room this way as well. We stayed here as it said it was close to the metro, which it was, just the traffic is awful every day including Sunday. Yes there was free parking at the metro but we spent 4 hours each day either in traffic or riding the metro. Next time we will stay at Cherry Hill .

We used a Good Sam discount and paid the $5 to guarantee the site via phone. Only stayed 2 nights for a wedding in the area Sept. 8/9. Site B2 needed some leveling, was paved with nice picnic table. Roomy enough for our teardrop and Ram pickup, but very close to the loop road. Check in was quick and friendly owners. Ice available as well as propane and rv supplies. A short walk to the restrooms which were code entry, very clean and showers worked great. If we were staying in the area again, we would reserve C2 - seemed to be a little roomier and has a large shade tree. Pool looked nice, but we did not use. Pretty quiet, not a lot of kids using the playground. If we would have had more time and if the weather was nicer we would have walked down to check out the F row in the back of the park. We were very pleased with staying here and lots of eateries on Rt 234. A must go to restaurant is Brother Encore Italian Restaurant on Waterway Dr in the Lake Montclair Center - very close to the campground.

Close to DC and the Metro. Camping spots are tight and close together. Lot of noise form the main road. Several sketchy camper trailers there. Bath house adequate. Camp host were friendly. Just an all around creepy feel for us and we would not stay there again. Look at Pohick as an alternate.

Staff were friendly. Site B2 Had to level our vehicle. Had small patio. We were lead on a walk at night to see fire flies. Wifi was pretty good but slow at times. Didnt have any trouble with road access. RV Park is separate from the park. There are some trails but did not get to enjoy. Traffic noise 24 hours a day. Easy access to 95 and all of the museums just 35 south of DC. And two exits from the USMC museum. Laundry room well maintained but is not air conditioned. Nice small pool.

This is a private park located on the edge of Prince William Forest. The rates are reasonable and they were friendly checking ilus in. We have a fairly level spot with no neighbors, which is good because the spots are close together. They do have showers and a very small pool although we didn’t use either. They also have a laundry room and a dump station. One downside is that you can slightly hear the nearby Highway.
