We grabbed a spot here for a night. It’s clean, well kept up and quiet. I do feel we got lucky in getting a space as it was almost full with full time workers. We grabbed one of two spots open. We arrived later so just paid by envelope and left early on a Saturday so didn’t see employees/owners but they did leave a phone number if we had any questions or needed/wanted access to laundry, bathhouse, rec room. It appears the way to note a spot is reserved is a cone at the entrance to a spot. All others are fair game.

Nice little campground. Clean. Sites are all pull through. Has quite a few contract workers staying. All quiet.

This is a brand new RV Park on US-56, just outside Hugoton. Sites are full-hookup pull-throughs. The ground is crushed rock, and it needs rolling flat. Other than that, it was clean and well-kept. I was there the last week in October, and the campground was almost empty. Hugoton is in the middle of nowhere, and I was there only to do research for a book. The campground is unattended. You put the money in a slot, and call a phone number if you want the access code to the shower and restroom building. There is free, non-password-protected wifi, which ran at a snail's pace. I met the owner the next morning, when he came to hook up the water pipe heaters for an expected frost. He told me that he had built it in anticipation of workers at a planned biomass ethanol and power plant nearby, which failed to come to fruition. I got the impression that he is stuck with the place. There is overnight truck and railroad noise. The trucks weren't too bad, but the locomotive horns were very intrusive.
