We set up our camp on the 11th of May, 2023, benefiting from a 25% reduction for seniors. The campsite is conveniently situated near Route 75. Despite our late arrival, the campsite staff selected a prime location for us, site #27, which is right by the lake and opposite the shower facility. We had access to a filtered water station that served refreshingly cold water. The campsite was neat and well spaced out, with each site equipped with a concrete picnic table and pad, water and electricity, and a gravel parking pad. There were a few people fishing, with fish visibly leaping out of the water. We also spotted bullfrogs, a heron, and a muskrat. We earmarked sites #82 and #92 for future visits. We have a history with this campsite, having previously stayed here on the 24th of March, 2019, at site #80.

The process of checking in was smooth. The location we were assigned could benefit from some adjustments to make the platform more even. At the time of our arrival, the communal bathroom was in a clean state. The cost was reasonable. The signal strength for T-mobile was excellent.

We found the camping area quite charming. During our visit, only Loop A was accessible. Unfortunately, it didn't provide many flat spaces suitable for Class A's. We took up residence at site number 13, which offered a perfectly flat surface. However, it lacked a pleasing vista of the nearby lake. The site was conveniently located directly opposite the washroom facilities. Despite the lack of view, we would consider occupying the same spot in the future due to its flatness. Many of the other sites in the front loop near the lake were too inclined for our Class A.

Pretty state park close to I-75 so quite convenient as a stopover. We stayed 2 nights on our way to the NE. The park is very large with a lot of greenspace and paved trails taking you along the water and in the woods. we also hiked up to Triple Falls which I'd recommend for the waterfalls and view from the top. I'd say the campground could use some TLC. Our space was steps from the water and while we fit just fine, the driver side door faces the water. We knew that when making the reservation, so we made it work but the sites are very close together. The campground was pretty quiet for a weekend, just some highway noise, but not too bad. Bathrooms are quite old with lots of spiders in evidence.

Great amenities, easy to find, right off the 75 with excellent caretakers. Spaces are for the most part, roomy with a nice water power stand, fire pit and picnic table. Gravel pad was excellent bed for the jacks. Just passing thru this time but would like to get back.

This is a very pretty state park. Arrival was okay. We were given a hang tag for our vehicle but no campground map. We had to go back and get one because we couldn't figure out the site numbering. Our site was on the lake with the picnic table and fire ring on the driver's side of the rig. There were goose droppings all over the picnic table and fire area so we didn't use them, but the lake and mountain views from our windows on that side were absolutely beautiful. We did inform the park about the goose dropping issue and we agreed together that herding geese is impossible. Watching them do their group water landings every morning and evening was nice. The views of the lake and mountains were beautiful. There is grocery shopping nearby. Restrooms were clean and the walking and hiking paths were great. There's an pool, but it's closed due to COVID. Dump station on the way out was clean and easy to access. Overall we really enjoyed this park and will visit again.

Great Tennessee Campground. It was crowded when we arrived and it looks like it is a weekend getaway for many locals. Parking got a little crazy over the weekend but it did not affect us. Our spot looked difficult, but it really was easy to get into and we had so much space around us. Don't get fooled by the "Lake". It was pretty stagnant and not much that you can actually do on it. Close to towns so shopping was a breeze and lots of places to walk. Just be ready for some hills. If we needed to be in the area again, we would stay here.

We had a wonderful stay in this state park, which features, lush, green, rolling hills along Cove Lake, with mountains in the background. Sites have water and electricity. There is a dump station. You can recycle glass and aluminum here. Sites are situated along 3 loops each with a center, 'park-like' space that provides privacy to the sites and a place to walk the dog. Quiet, and we had an amazing view out of every window; it felt very private. Be aware that some of the sites have a fairly steep slope once you step off the site pad. I got a wonderful 3 mile run on the paths through the park. There are tennis courts a pool (not in use) and a restaurant (closed), and just the most lovely park setting you can imagine. Geese lined the paths to the lake. The only "ding" I would give this place is the bathrooms, which were run down and not very clean. However, that could be because we visited on a busy weekend in July. Also be aware that although the cell coverage was pretty good (Verizon), the internet speed on our hotspot was very slow; the campground does not have wifi.

We stopped here for an overnight during Father’s Day weekend. Lots of families out celebrating dads. The sites are pretty tight and privacy isnt really possible, at least in our loop. Many campers had more cars than allowed and tents piled into one site. Bathhouse was clean and in great shape in Loop C. Trash cans were plenty. Camp store was well stocked. The lake and mountains here are stunning and almost worth the tight campground. Internet was really spotty. We had 4 bars and LTE on Verizon, however, at night we couldn’t get anything to load on our phones. Morning was a little better but I wouldn’t work from here as a digital nomad unless the campground wasn’t full.

Cove Lake State Campground is a pretty and quiet campground. We stayed overnight on site 63 and had family members staying in campsite 65. Site 65’s picnic table was actually behind our site (63), which was a bit odd. These sites were spacious and near the water, but they were muddy as it had just rained before arrival and this required thorough wiping of dog paws. We traveled in a 31 ft motorhome. Site 63 and 65 are lovely sites with a gorgeous water view. Beware of mud or flooding due to recent rain
