Our booking at this holiday spot was made before it was designated as a 55+ community on 10/1/22. The facilities are noticeably aged but well-kept, and the residents clearly care for their homes. It offers good value for comprehensive services. As our first stay in such a "resort", we have no basis for comparison. The resort has a busy daily activity schedule, including card games, billiards, dances, raffles, water aerobics, and crafts. The resort's facilities include full hookups, propane service, a mailroom, golf (although the course is worn out), a gym (quite worn but still functional), pickleball (which appears to have been updated), tennis, a restaurant, a bar, laundry facilities, showers, a heated pool, a hot tub, and a reasonably sized library. It's situated on the Colorado River, but also between Interstate 8, an active freight train line, and some farmland. The noise from I-8 can be intrusive, and the farmland can sometimes be a bit smelly. The resort is nestled in Yuma's northwestern corner, about a 20-minute drive to the town and interstate. The WiFi was passable. Guests can choose a location near the golf course or the pet area. If you choose the golf course, they provide a barrier to protect your vehicle from stray golf balls. The distance between vehicles is adequate. The pet area is further from the golf course and seems a bit more cramped. The grounds are primarily gravel with a concrete patio. There is also a storage area where we left our car when we took the vehicle to Mexico.

I"m not a resort rat, but rather a travel park kind of guy. stayed here so we could go to dentist in Algodones. An older very well kept RV Resort. Good employee experiences. $309 per week. like all resorts a little over priced per week but a very nice place to stay. Golf course, swim pool, library, resturant, laundry and many other amenities, all well kept. quiet because it is a little out of the way...

We stayed a month, and now after boondocking in the desert for a few weeks we are going back to hang out and use the pool and hot tub. This place is low key with most people being over 55, in fact we are 55, and I felt like the kid in the group. The sites are all gravel and close together, but I would say it’s normal for this type of “snow bird” park. There is security on the property which is nice and ensures the place is quiet. Additionally, the park is tucked away in the back corner of Yuma so there is no extra traffic. Cell signal is average, but, it is plenty good enough to work or stream video. The weather here is a bonus, very nice most days. Mexico is accessed within 15 minutes via the next exit to the west. If you need to shop at the pharmacy, get dental work done, or visit the eye doctor this place is perfect. Finally, there is a golf course, I don’t golf, but it looked nice.

Cocopah is outside of Yuma, nestled in between some produce fields. Most other parks here seem to be on the interstate, so this park was uniquely quiet. The sites are gravel, and level with a nice concrete patio. The sites are large enough that you can park your vehicle beside the patio. A very large dog park, nearly 3 acres was the feature we loved most. We also enjoyed the driving range and putting greens, gym and cantina. The only downside for us was you have to drive if you want to do anything outside the park.

We normally would boondock when we are in the Yuma area but stayed here to join some friends. We were glad of the hook-ups in the hot weather and this park is a good place to park for a while. They have a great pool and hot tub, a gym, good laundry facilities, tennis courts and a golf course if that's your thing. There are a lot of seasonal long term residents here and this definitely has the feel of a retirement community, not really our thing. But the park is kept immaculately and the staff are friendly. You are about 10 mins drive to Yuma, right on the California state line surrounded by agricultural land. There are some awesome boondocking opportunities in this area, but if you want to hook-up this is a great choice.
