Pros: * It is close to lots of great biking trails - Pinellas Trail, Willson Ream Trail, Duke Energy. We biked a lot from our campsite to Clearwater Beach, Dunedin to Tarpon Springs. * It is close to lots of major retail * Trader Joe's is in St. Pete and there is another one in Tampa. Whole Foods is in Clearwater. * We appreciated our Site 29 as it is in the back of the park. Our RV was close to a large pond where we got to hear the ducks and other birds talking. We had RV storage in front of us which made it a quieter part of the park. * Heated pool * $1.25 per load for the Laundry facilities * Decent size spaces. We went into other parks and they were tight Cons: * The long-term residents said the management didn't want to put more money into the location and it is showing. * It seems in Florida that you are going to have permanent trailers mingled in. Most people keep to themselves so it wasn't bothersome. *

This rv resort is located in a safe part of the city. It’s tucked away from the main road, yet really close to all the possible stores you can name within 5-10 mins driving. It has a small sized playground, dog park, and laundry facilities. This rv resort is a mix of RVs and trailer homes. There are many long term residents including snow birds - they are reapectful and park is very quiet. Sites are close to each other, but it is convenient for exploring cities around.

Liked: Centrally located with easy access to beaches, St. Pete, Tampa and great bike/walking trail along the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Lots of permanent residents who are nice and welcoming. Super friendly customer service. Within walking distance of bars and restaurants. This park is clean and well maintained. Laundry is very reasonable at $1.25 each for washer and dryer. Lots of machines in the laundry areas. Very clean restrooms and showers. Very avid shuffleboard league - they looked like they were having a lot of fun. :) It looks like there are lots of planned activities during the winter months. The pool is really clean with lots of lounge chairs and umbrella tables. Disliked: Being packed in so tightly next to a park model that our small street-side awning overhung its patio (though the neighbor graciously offered to move her patio furniture so we could fit). Lots of walking traffic around and through our campsite by people visiting our neighbor or walking to the pool/laundry area. So many smokers that we had to keep our windows closed and a/c on most of the time even though the weather was amazing. We had planned to stay through December but were drawn away by the spacious and beautiful area boondocking opportunities. The sites in this park are just too close together for us. We’d come back again if we could stay in a different site away from the pool area, especially during summer months when a/c is necessary 24/7. Nightly rate was calculated based on one weekly rate of $330, four additional nights at $56 each, and minus a $22.50 Good Sam discount.

We stay here to be near my parents. We’ve stayed several times, and will be going back for the holidays and month of January. It is clean and well kept. Everyone is friendly. The pool is very nice. We have good cell service with Verizon. There is WiFi but it is slow. It is conveniently located near shopping and walking/bike trails.

While arriving, you may almost miss the park, as it's set back off of the road, behind a restaurant and hotel. We arrived after office hours, but, they had a nice map of our reserved site with our back gate code. This resort had a variety of very colorful and well-kept "snowbirds" permanent homes, RV storage, and RVs with families, and couples traveling through. We loved: - the private entrance with code - quick drive to Clearwater Beach - the pool! - dog off-leash area - affordable and clean laundry room - recycling bins - great walk or bike ride to Kapok Park, which has a great board walk where we saw many turtles, alligators, and birds!

Having failed at snagging reservations at Fort Desoto Park for the weekend, this was the back up plan. The staff here is super accommodating, and honored the Passport America rate for us to come in last minute (at $50/night, it would have been crazy expensive). It's a very cute park, with a lot of pride shown and community centric. A mix of park models and RV spots, some nicely shaded. We also loved their inclusiveness statement on their website - welcoming people of all ages, family status, sexual & gender orientation. With so many stuffy 55+ old parks, it's nice to see! They do have a pet and non-pet section as well, and offer onsite RV storage. But what we loved about this park was the location! Easy walking distance to great dining (try Ken's Sushi.. OMG), and shopping. And super easy access to the biking trail system. We're glad we ended up here by circumstance to check it out, as it's now on our short list of places we might choose to winter just for the urban access feel, while being in a mellow community.
