Visited this location recently and previously in December. It's a pleasant spot with ample space between camping areas. The serene environment is ideal for strolling and cycling. An excellent fishing location is situated about three-quarters of a mile away. The roads are somewhat sandy, making it unsuitable for low-riding vehicles. Definitely planning to revisit in the future.

Finding the campground is not easy. The GPS tried to lead me down Fire Tower Red, and then to a Correctional Facility. The road to the Campground is a sand washboard road that limits speed to about 20MPH. The best approach is to start at RT 40 and head the five miles south on the sand road. There is a locked gate, you’ll need a reservation to get the code. The sites are the largest I’ve ever been at. Site 1 has enough space to comfortably fit six RV’s. There is a hanks pumped water pump. The site is filled with palms and beautiful live oak covered with Spanish moss. If you want a get away place, with plenty of space, this is the place. There were two other campers at the campground during my visit.

We were scheduled to stay for 2 nights but left a day early due to the high number of ticks that latched onto my dog and a few that I found crawling on me. And we just stayed in the campground area including the road and campsites with leaf litter. Also, the deer flies were plentiful. I suppose if you don’t have a dog, and your bug game is strong, it’s not a bad place to stay. Large sites, just be careful of lower hanging branches. The road to the campground has bad washboard areas. Cell data speeds are poor… about 3 mbps on Verizon and 1 mbps on TMobile.

Did not know this little gem was here until I saw a review on YouTube. Less that 30 minutes from the house so we decided to do a quick trip over New Years Eve. Sites are huge. Only 6 sites which are for dry campers. One pit toilet available which was surprisingly very clean. Lake within walking distance for kayaks canoes and fishing. Nice and quiet for a little down time. Would be back again with some friends.

We love Bennett Field, while there are only 6 total sites each of the sites is huge. Very flat and easy to access. For the most part all of the sites are almost "pull thru" sites if needed. The road back to the campground has some washboarding but overall I would rate is good. The bonus to this campround (beyond the $9 per night price) is the proximity to Daytona Beach and Ormond. With 20 min you can be at the beach or any store you might need. For those Full-Timers there is an amazon locker about 10 min from the campground at the Chevron Station. Verizon (unboosted) 9 down and 1 up Verizon with Mimo 15 down 1 up Visible 5 down and 3 up Att 3 down and 2 up

We spent 2 days at this campground. First the positive... Easy to find and Big Rig Friendly(35' 5th Wheel). Most sites are pull though sites. It was quiet and peaceful, a few small airplanes during the evening. We did not hear a single generator during our stay!!!!! There are bear proof garbage cans, and a single outhouse. Picnic table and fire pit at each site. On the negative side, the road going in has lots of washboard. There is no water - BYO. Just go slow and you'll be fine. The biggest downside to us is the cost. By the time you pay per night fee of $8.50 the reservation fee $6.50 and the taxes (there are 3). The price is high considering all the Wildlife Management and Water Management areas in the area where camping is almost free. We would stay here in a pinch if needed.

Huge private sites under an oak canopy. Quiet and beautiful. Senior Florida residents stay at half price. Not very busy in January so had the whole park to myself 5 or 6 days. Very close to the speedway. Dirt road part of the way but maintained.

Let me first start by saying the campsite was perfect, people not so much. This was the first time we used our roof top tent and the first.time our kids were out. Our first night was at site 003, which was great. Our second night we had a bunch of friends meet us and moved over to the group camp. Another great site. The location is wonderful. During the second night (Saturday) there were two generators running. We figured they’d stop at quiet hours. The first did. The second larger one had a suv and trailer, followed by another 4-5 rigs showing up between 8-9. What happened next can only be described as a salsa dance party lasting well past midnight, then firing up again around 3:30 for a bit. Needless to say sleep was difficult. But if everyone would respect each other and do things at a normal level instead of a techno club in the woods I wouldn’t have written this novel and simply said the site was great and can’t wait to go back. I will say that sites 3, 5, & 6 were the best in my opinion
