Grassy river flat camping, can be very wet after rain or the creek can run dry after a long hot stretch.
This site is quite popular spot with 4WD clubs as there are a few good trails nearby. A short walk along the creek leads to Abercrombie River where there are some nice swimming holes and also a decent chance of catching a trout (with a licence and in the season of course). Plenty of wildlife, birds, frogs, echidnas, and emus occasionally. Follow the creek to get to the larger Abercrombie River where there are deeper swimming holes.

Getting there
This is a 4wd only campground but should be OK for decent campertrailers. Head south along Abercrombie Road (also called Tablelands Way) from Oberon for 32km 9km past Black Springs, turn right onto Isabella Road. Travel 25km through Vulcan State Forest on Blue Road to Arkstone Park Head down Abercrombie fire trail to Silent Creek campground
