The "security personnel" was terribly hostile and confrontational. The place was densely populated. It reeked of marijuana during the night and early hours. Above all, it did not give a sense of safety.

The Park is decent - parking lot like most places, with some sites that looked better in the trees in the back; older but clean washrooms and showers. I would have rated a 3 or a 4, except for my experience with Lisa at check-in. In all my years as an adult (I am now a senior), I have never been talked to like I was by Lisa. From the start she talked to me like a bad parent would talk to their 4 year old - talked down to me, wouldn’t listen to what I was trying to explain to her and then accused me of being disrespectful to her. If it had not been late in the day and the fact that we were traveling with another couple in their rig who also needed a site for the night, I would have left and stayed anywhere but there. If you get someone other than Lisa, perhaps you will have a better experience.

Affordable and convenient campground just outside of Olympia and Tacoma. It was $39 for full hookups and they offered partial hookup sites as well. We called ahead and they said that they do first come, first serve sites. We chose a RV site and then an after hours security staffer greeted us and checked us in. There is a nice laundry room, propane fill station, gas station, lounge area, pool, and convenience store. The sites are a bit small and spaced close together. And like most campgrounds, the WiFi slows to a crawl during peak usage hours in the evenings... but all in all, we had a good experience and would stay here again!

Honestly I feel poorly for people that live full time in such wretched conditions. With that being said, I don’t want to visit while traveling. Most of the sites were full timers that looked one step away from being on the street. Sites were poorly maintained and the entire place felt dirty.

This place is more like camping in a forest than an RV park. In July it was busy and we had to stay in a site w/o sewer which is no big deal because we were only there two nights. Besides the sites w/o sewer hookups are quieter and more to the back of the park with more trees which helps keep the coach cooler. The trade off is that the sites are dirt and gravel and not all that level, and the park is a little old and tired. Just depends on what is important to you. There is a regional airport nearby which provides some un-forest-like noise but it is not very busy and seems to shut down in the evening. It's just a short drive into Tumwater which has The Deschutes river going through it and a pretty good old town with restaurants etc. Falls Terrace restaurant, right in front of a set of falls was pretty cool.
