Surprisingly busy for such a remote location -- popular with horse campers and hunters. We happened to be there when many campers were there for a cattle drive. Despite being fairly full, the campground was quiet and mostly clean. The pit toilets were among the cleanest we've ever encountered - very well maintained. Level spots with good separation. The place shows some wear, but we would return. There is no dispersed camping in Valle Vidal, and we did not care for the other campground (Cimarron). If you want to explore the area, this is good choice.
