This campsite is in excellent condition and offers a variety of activities for those who enjoy the great outdoors. There are numerous asphalt roads and off-track paths for cycling enthusiasts. We had a fantastic time during our stay and can't wait to come back. The price we paid didn't factor in the senior citizen discount.

We must have stumbled upon a last-minute cancellation, as we managed to secure campsite 16 for a weekend stay. This spot is quite a stretch to reverse into but offers a lovely view of the lake. We even spotted an alligator roaming the shoreline on four separate occasions. The walking trails are pleasant, though one must be careful of the numerous tree roots - I tripped over one myself. We enjoyed our visits to the spring to observe the turtles and alligators, spotting two of the latter. The campground is arranged in a square loop, with appealing spots located on the periphery - there are also a handful on the inside. Noise from the nearby road and train was audible, but it didn't bother us. Once I have a stronger internet connection, I'll share some pictures!

This quaint park is quite delightful. It boasts enjoyable paths and an interesting museum dedicated to the Civil War prisoner of war camp. The spring zone isn't large, but we made it a point to visit each morning to observe the alligators, turtles, and fish. The cabins are currently under renovation, with construction expected to be completed in 2023. There is some noise from a train about a mile away, but it's not too intrusive. The park's simple joys were a pleasure to experience.

Water and electricity only. Small RV Area But Clean And Quiet. Nice Nature Trail. Keep In Mind The Dumping Station Can Only Be Used While Inbound. So If You Are Leaving Full You Need To Turn Around To Enter The Dumpsite. There were some low tree branches in a tight turn near the dumpsite. Mine is 12ft tall and 35ft long. A gentle brush with the tree branches. That is all I remember for now.

Stayed in site 6 (a pull through). All things good! Wonderfully landscaped, easy to maneuver through roads. Very large, shady level sites ( a few pull-throughs), many adjacent to woods. Dump station and full hookups available. Accessible sites available. Very friendly rangers, camp hosts, and employees. Pet friendly. Clean comfort stations with flush toilets and showers, centrally located to all campsites. Beautiful environment; hiking trails, lake with dock, boat rentals, fishing, playground, splash pad, large open space for families to play games, small store at entrance. Tent, RV camping and cottages available. Picnic tables at every site. Wi-Fi was fine for me. An absolutely stellar campground. We camped at Magnolia Springs State Park in a campervan.

This was a very nice small campground. The site was level and easy to back in to. The bathhouse was very nice and clean. Great small quiet camping.

Five stars all the way. Such a beautiful park and big spaces. There’s a few short hiking trail and if you are a geocacher you’ll have plenty to do! The camphost were friendly and suggested site 16 to us and was perfect to back in and soooo much space! After walking on the beaver trail and getting a few caches we relaxes by the fire with a few beers to wind the evening down.

Enjoyed the cottage (#1). Beaver trail was a nice shady 1.4 mile hike. Cell service - Verizon was almost non-existent, Wifi at the office was not connected to the Internet, so that was disappointing.

We booked Magnolia Springs State Park to escape a batch of severe weather headed our way in South Carolina. What a great decision! Not only did we miss the nasty weather, but we discovered yet another great Georgia State Park! The park was peaceful, clean, and quiet with a beautiful lake. The sites were nicely spaced apart with a lot of room behind them. We walked to the springs area and saw turtles and numerous fish. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is our family favorite, go to trip as it’s an hour away from home. We love it here. The park is small enough the kids can ride their bikes and I can see them around the entire circle. They have several hiking trails, a pond for paddle boats, canoes, kayaks (we bring our kayak from home). 2 playgrounds and a splash pad (been closed due to COVID). Verizon cell service is okay, the kids were able to do virtual school during one of our trips. Hosts have always been nice. Sites are spacious. Facility is kept clean.

Sites are set far apart. Our site #11 was mostly shaded. There were a couple hikes located near our loop with tons of other walking options. Gators, turtles, and other amazing creatures. Host friendly and knowledgable. Highly recommend this quiet and serene park.

My wife and I just purchased a small teardrop trailer and last weekend we camped at Magnolia Springs State Park as our first test outing. The park was great. Clean, great trails, nice lake. We saw birds, gators and enjoyed a perfect weekend.

Our family booked a quick getaway here since we’ve never been before! We absolutely loved it! The hosts were amazing, the sites were well kept, and the amenities were super clean! There is also playgrounds for children and a splash pad. The only downfall is there is no swimming area( which I completely understand why**alligators**) There is some noise as there is an airport near by and also a railroad, but it wasn’t super noisy IMO. We will definitely come back!

Stayed 4 nights over the 4th of July. Campground was nearly full, but a good many folks seemed to be just passing through. Small campground loop with decent sized spaces. Inside of loop has a number of sites which are arranged so families or folks traveling together could stay together as a group. Our site had 30A service and water, although the connection pillar was on the "wrong" side on our site. I have now learned to check this *before* leveling the trailer. Used all the cords and hoses this trip. Bathhouse was cleaner than some motels I've stayed at. Only complaint was it really needs a bigger exhaust fan. It was 90+ and the air in there was pretty hot and sticky. Small camp store is currently having a disagreement with the ice people. NO ICE. Just about everywhere on the road back to Millen sells it. If you go all the way into town (7 miles IIRC) there's one of those bulk machines on the left right before the McDonald's. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly. We saw their white pickups cruising through so much that we finally stopped waving at them. Couldn't have felt safer. We want to come back in winter.

We enjoyed our overnight here. It’s a small campground with essentially no vegetation between most of the sites, but there is plenty of space for privacy. Everything is well maintained and manicured. The bathrooms were older, but very clean with plenty of hot water. There is a good-sized indoor laundry room that was spotless. Though the campground is small, the park has plenty to do. There appeared to be canoes or kayaks available to rent. There is a large day use area with playgrounds and a splash pad for children. We walked several of the trails: the Beaver Trail along the lake, the Lime Sink Trail, and the Woodpecker Trail that leads to the spring. We didn’t see the resident gators, but there were lots of turtles in the spring waters. If we could have stayed another day we would have checked out the history museum and earthen works here. This was the location of Camp Lawton, a Civil War stockade prison. Our only complaint was the $5 parking fee added to the camping fee. Note that the $34 rate includes a senior discount.
