The stench in this location is reminiscent of a drain and it seems to be emanating from the main office. The staff is discourteous and thoughtless. Additionally, the space is extremely congested, with extensions colliding, and it's not as pet-friendly as they claim. It's shocking that they're affiliated with KOA. I've lodged a grievance with the main office in the hope that they'll sever ties given their poor customer service; even my fellow lodgers were discontented and vacating. A buddy of mine shared an experience and was so taken aback by their rudeness that he opted not to stay. It's a clear sign of a subpar location when holidaymakers can swap nightmare experiences. Steer clear at all costs. Spare yourself the aggravation of being infuriated.

We spent three nights at an aging campsite from January 13, 2023. The spaces and pathways were quite cramped. We arrived after sunset and had a hard time finding our site due to poor numbering and the office being closed. The women's restroom had a single pedestal sink with no countertop, forcing everyone to share the space for brushing teeth or washing hands. Unfortunately, there were no hand towels, as they had lost the key and didn't bother to replace it with a roll of paper towels. Despite the shortcomings, it was the only available option we had found a few months prior. On a brighter note, the staff were friendly during office hours. We also found out that the campsite was close to The Guitar Hotel & Hard Rock Casino. Both the hotel and casino were worth exploring and they offered free parking and a free evening light show. Additionally, we managed to visit Biscayne Bay and Everglades National Parks, which were an hour's drive away. Despite the distance, it was the best we could do. We highly recommend the Shark Valley trolley tour in Everglades. Although their website shows limited reservations, there are plenty of walk-in slots. The parking lot is quite small, so we decided to park our pickup on Tamiami Trail and walk in.

Accessing the motorhome campground from the main road was the initial hurdle, as it was no more than a slender path. After registration, I discovered that our assigned "drive-through" spot was not feasible due to another tight lane I had to navigate, so I chose the safer option and reversed in. It was a challenge to reach the power supply owing to overgrown palm trees growing directly next to it. The water supply was located a good three feet into the neighboring spot, also under these palms. Our spot was a companion spot, which is great if you're traveling with a friend, but if not, it's hard to relax on the patio when you're a non-smoker and your neighbors are avid cigar and fancy cigarette smokers. During our second week, friends of ours were passing through and came to see if there was a vacancy for the night. The on-duty staff indicated they had a spot but wouldn't let them inspect it to verify if it was suitable for them. They were essentially given an ultimatum: take it or leave it without seeing it. They wisely chose the latter. Although the park can't control this, be ready for frequent siren noises. Additionally, the nearby highway is a popular spot for car and motorcycle races, so the noise level is quite high.

This location doesn't seem particularly secure. While the employees were quite observant, this spot is merely a stopover en route to the keys.

We needed an overnight and this was kind of our option for our route. We would have preferred a WalMart if it were allowed. I knew this park was tight, but yikes. We had a “pull through” site that we had to back into because our neighbor had their tow vehicle in our site. Then to exit, we pulled through to a dead-end road, so we had to do a sort of three-point turn with our 40-ft fifth wheel in order to get out. Not exactly a quick in and out like I would expect from a KOA. Our site itself was very nice and the patio was pretty neat. I found the neighborhood pleasant and enjoyed a morning run around the area. Our main issue was a staff member who insisted upon “helping” us park and then “helping” us exit even after we declined politely. We found this stressful and confusing as we have a system for parking and we know our own rig best. It made the tight spot unbearable with another person inserting themselves into the parking fiasco. For this reason, we would not stop again.

Sites are insanely small & packed close together. $100/night (after fees) for a spot behind another RV. It was so close that my 23' airstream was 2 inches tops from back of other camper. Guy on the cart "helping" was not particularly nice. He was annoyed because it was raining & I assumed what was actually a "road" was my spot. That's how small & tightly packed everything is. I even pointed to it and he gave me the thumbs up. I was not pleased to find out the actual spot was even smaller. Don't go here, even if desperate.
