Amanzimlotzi Riverside Bush Camp is a bush camp in the Greater Kruger Park on the Klaserie River, 46 km from Orpen Gate and 35km from Hoedspruit. We offer no luxuries, except the unbelievable night skies with no light or air pollution and free sounds of the wild most nights; the roar of lions and quite regularly leopards, the howling of hyenas, the chattering of monkeys that will try to steal all your food if you allow them and above all... deafening silence. Amanzimlotzi Riverside Bush Camp offers an eco-chalet, two rondavels, bush tents and a camping ground. Eco Chalet: The eco-chalet is 96m² and separate from our other units. Located on a dry river bed, it has a lounge, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom with shower and an outside terrace area with BBQ. The spacious bedroom has a large king size bed, on a snake proof base. Facilities include a flat-screen TV with a HD satellite decoder. The kitchenette has a gas stove, a wash-up basin and some basic utensils. The unit has its own water tank independent from the camp. And because it is remote and away from the rest of the camp, there is an alarm system. Rondavel 1: The rondavel is furnished with a Queen size and ¾ size bed as well as a three seater couch and is equipped with a DVD player, bedside lights, bedding and towels. There is a dining table and chairs. There is a shower, toilet and wash basin. The kitchenette is equipped with basic requirements including an electric frying pan, snackwich toaster, electric kettle, refrigerator, gas hotplate and solar (backed up by gas) fired hot water. It has standby lighting. and an eco friendly air cooler. Outside is a BBQ. A CFC air conditioner is available at an additional cost. Rondavel 2: The rondavel is furnished with a Queen size and ¾ size bed as well as a two seater couch and is equipped with a DVD player, bedside lights, bedding and towels. There is a shower, toilet and wash basin. The kitchenette is equipped with basic requirements including an electric frying pan, snackwich toaster, electric kettle, refrigerator, gas hotplate. There is solar assisted hot water. It has standby lighting. and an eco friendly air cooler. Outside is a BBQ. A CFC air conditioner is available at an additional cost. Bush Tents: We now have three bush tents which are a good quality tents erected in the bush, with comfortable beds and extra facilities added on around it. These consist of a private lapa and cooking area and an outdoor bathroom - a very unique experience. Tent One: The tent sleeps one couple on the luxury Queen-size bed. Other facilities include a braai, three chairs, a small heater, and Eco air cooler, an outside dining table at the BBQ with electric kettle and coffee / tea station, electric lights and outlet. This tent now has a small fridge to keep your butter, beer and meat cold. Tent Two: Sleeps two or three people on a KING size bed with bedding, as well as two persons in the small kid’s bedroom on two single beds. Towels, electric lights, plug, gas shower and modern loo are provided. There is also a fan, kettle and braai with a pretty well equipped kitchenette in a very nice lapa. Tent Three: This is a brand new and larger tent, snugly fitted under three intertwined trees with an outside kitchen corner and a few basic utensils, two-plate gas hotplate and a refrigerator. The tent is furnished with a Queen size and additional single bed, a table and four chairs and has a kettle and beverage station. Camping: For avid campers who bring their own tents and equipment, we have a lovely, flat and spacious area set aside for camping. There is a small building that contains a kitchen and the ablutions. You can walk freely on the 30 ha farm. There are marked hikes in the dry bush and along the river. The pool is open during the summer and if we do not use it our restaurant / lapa can be used for private braais. No smoking will be tolerated inside the units, only clean considerate smokers will be tolerated. Since we are in a area targeted by rhino poachers, please do not cross any fences. Since we are surrounded by the ranches and dry bush, please be very careful with fires. No breaking bottles, keep the area clean and tidy and respect the establishment and fellow holiday makers.
