The sign-up process was successful. The camping area was mediocre. The sites were nearby. Will was of no help. Mobile reception was poor. It's a bit shabby considering the cost.

We lodged at this place for a trio of nights in the early part of May, 2023, with the cost being a mean across our duration of stay. Our accommodation was in the Weeping Willow Loop, which was somewhat cramped due to the trees and the neighboring site was uncomfortably close to the rear end of our trailer. However, I was just relieved to secure a spot here. If a future visit was in the cards, I'd target an area in the Pampass Loop, which was quite impressive. I wasn't particularly fond of the spots lining Pampass Grass Blvd, especially the ones with lower numbers. They lacked any semblance of privacy or greenery. Nevertheless, the main attraction here is the beach! They offer an excellent tram service for those without bicycles or for when walking becomes too strenuous due to the heat. It was a pleasant park to take our canine for a stroll, with numerous loops and a lovely area near the bungalows and cabins. These would be an exciting rental option for families! The beach was absolutely breathtaking! They also had a swimming pool! I was fortunate enough to have the pool all to myself one afternoon. There was a charming gift shop and a cafe serving coffee and beer. They even hosted live music on the patio one evening! Despite being a bit steep for non-locals, the overall stay was quite enjoyable, especially the beach. Wow!

We only lodged for one night, but the experience was top-notch, earning a five-star rating. However, the speed bumps were a bit of an issue as they caused significant shaking. They didn't seem to affect cars or electric bikes, but for some reason, they were quite problematic for our Class A RV. We're considering a return visit, though. We were assigned to site 136, which was a pull-through spot. However, we had to maneuver twice due to a tree that could interfere with our slide if not correctly positioned. So be cautious! Each spot in our loop was surrounded by trees, contributing to the appeal of the park. We also received several cable channels without needing a cord, and Verizon cell service was readily available.

Our lodging was at Loop 103 for a duration of five evenings, set amidst picturesque surroundings with a gravel foundation, sufficient seclusion between each spot, and complete amenities. Oddly enough, the tiny lampposts at each site were bothersome, as their glow would seep into the bedroom window during nighttime. However, this minor inconvenience doesn't overshadow the fact that this is a splendid camping spot in Santa Rosa Beach. One can either stroll, cycle or take a shuttle to the beach. The beach itself is spectacular, with its pristine white sands and transparent, shallow waters. The Park also offers numerous sandy trails for leisurely walks, cutting through serene pine forests. A faint buzz from the nearby highway traffic is always present. The Park serves as a tranquil haven amidst a densely populated region. Proximity to shopping, dining and tourist attractions is an added advantage. We made two trips to Destin for meals. The high prices are attributed to the inflow of tourists, which is to be expected. We certainly look forward to revisiting.

The personnel are amicable, the surroundings are hygienic, and there are numerous appealing paths to explore. There's also a tram for those who prefer to stroll less. You can rent bikes and kayaks, amongst other conveniences. There's also a cable TV on the premises.

This incredible park features four RV circuits, a tent circuit, and lodges for those without a mobile home. Initially, this state park was a resort located in Santa Rosa Beach. When the state park administration took over, they maintained the facilities, including complete hook-ups, a swimming pool, a shuffleboard area, a large laundry room, paved walking paths to the dunes, and temperature-controlled bathhouses. We lodged in circuit 103, the biggest and furthest from the main entrance. Although the cost per night is $45, which is higher than most state parks, the full hook-up and immaculate surroundings justify the price. Although fire pits or grills are not available, you are allowed to bring your own portable ones. Most sites have vegetation separating them, except for the topmost circuit 100 that is situated on the entrance road. There are miles of paved walking paths, closed off to vehicles, perfect for cyclists and walkers. Every hour, a tram shuttle transports visitors to the park beach and a coastal lake, both equipped with restrooms and water fountains. There are numerous bike racks available for storage while you explore. There's even a coffee shop in the camp store! Just outside the park, there's a 14-mile paved walking and cycling path that runs alongside the coastal road, passing through villages and towns with numerous dining and shopping options. Reservations can be challenging to secure, but persistence can pay off if you manage to grab a cancellation!

All the trees that once bordered this park have been felled. Previously, the best spots were around the 125 mark, but that's no longer true. Currently, extensive construction work is underway throughout the day. Soon, this space will be transformed into a commercial zone, or it will house apartments, condominiums, or residential homes. These spots are no longer desirable. Additionally, the area near the coffee shop, just before the entrance to the actual campground, offers no seclusion. I believe these are spots 1-10. Topsail, as its name suggests, is more akin to an "RV Park". One must exercise caution when selecting spots. While some spots are excellent, with vegetation on either side, others are merely a series of driveways. There's a shuttle that takes you to the beach every hour. The location is ideal with numerous walking trails, proximity to a supermarket, and the Grand mall (which is quite upscale). However, be aware of the traffic. The road is a main route to the beach and there's a school nearby. Exiting and making a left turn towards 98 when school ends or beach hours conclude can be extremely challenging.

This is among our favorite five state parks in Florida, which is quite a statement considering the incredible parks Florida offers. It's a full-service campground nestled in a stunning coastal forest. Pristine white sandy beaches are a highlight, with easy access to Route 30A. What's there not to love? The campground has several different sections; we lodged in section 103. The majority of the sites are concrete, with some featuring crushed stone. All sites in this section offer semi-privacy, thanks to the dense vegetation. Other sections are also lovely, but the sites are more exposed. All utilities are excellent, including decent water pressure. Cable TV is available, with approximately 100 channels. We didn't test the Over-The-Air TV, but the power supply was reliable with no voltage drop. Both Verizon and AT&T provided fast enough internet for streaming.The beach is undoubtedly the main attraction. It's about a mile from the campground and day-use area, so it's not overly crowded. There's an hourly shuttle from the campground to the beach, but if you're planning a long stay, a bike is the ideal mode of transport. Besides the beach, there are several fantastic trails and dune lakes that are worth exploring.Just beyond the campground, a bike path extends along Route 30A, passing through Seaside and ending at Rosemary Beach. Don't miss out on Route 30A, especially the food trucks (which are actually Airstreams) in Seaside. If you prefer more urban areas, head towards Destin.The campground store is managed by a concessionaire and is well-stocked. It includes a fantastic coffee shop and offers several draft beers. They host live music events on Mondays and also rent bikes. The campground is well-staffed with work campers, ensuring that everything is well-kept and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Don't hesitate to book a stay at this campground.

If you're fond of picturesque beaches, extensive hiking trails, tidy, roomy camping spots, and a wide array of activities, you'll undoubtedly adore this location. The park's positioning couldn't be better. We lodged at camping spot 163, which came with a full hookup and a generous selection of cable channels with excellent picture quality. The camping spots are sizeable, but it's the surrounding greenery that adds an extra layer of seclusion. The park was spotless, and there was no shortage of fun things to do. You even get your own personal beach, and there's a shuttle service that operates every hour to transport visitors to and from the beach. Another shuttle service is available to take visitors to one of the unique dune lakes. The distance from our campsite to the beach was around 1.1 miles. There are countless trails for walking, hiking, biking, or running, depending on your preference. As a runner, I was captivated by the stunning trail system. We were fortunate to secure a booking just a week in advance. The park was completely occupied during our visit. We also made use of a local e-bike rental service and explored some trails that my wife wouldn't have had the chance to experience otherwise. We'll definitely be returning!

Our visit was fantastic! We were assigned to site 3 in the 100 loop. Our camper, which is 20 feet, fitted perfectly without the need for any levelers. The ground was covered in gravel. The staff was welcoming, and the park was incredibly peaceful. Apparently, this used to be a Private RV Resort, and they've maintained all the facilities. There's a pool, a café, live music every Monday, numerous trails for walking and cycling, full utility hookups, Wi-Fi (available at the café), alligators, garbage disposal areas, laundry facilities, bathrooms, showers and much more. We're absolutely planning to return!

Been camping here a few times. This time we were lucky to get this site. Sites 202 - 205 are unobstructed views of Mullet Key Bayou with beautiful sunsets. We gave it 4 stars because of the other campers walking and hanging out talking on their cell phones loudly behind our site at the water. Kind of ruined the the tranquility of our vacation. Rvers 2 sites down have pets in no pet section. Had to listen to dog barking. All in all we love it here. We already booked our next vacation. Maybe it will be better.

Affordable "Beach Resort" State Park... Very nice and cozy beach state park. Feels like a private resort. There is a nice walking\bike path to the beach. It is also the road for the tram that runs hourly. As the closes public access to this part of the beach is over 1/4 mile away, it is almost a private beach to the park. We will definitely be coming back for an extended stay when it is warmer. Very convenient to Destin\San Destin and all the shopping and conveniences you could want. Note all the beaches in the area do not allow dogs. There are nice dog parks in Destin and Santa Rosa but no beaches for dogs. Closest is in Panama City.

Roomy sites, beach was clean and not overcrowded. Showers are HOT and clean. Coffee shop on site with rental bikes. Laundry house is nice, (1.50 to wash, 1.50 to dry) Sites 51, 52, and 53 are a bit tight to get into with 44 foot trailer. Higher number sites have wider access roads.

Imo you want to be in the higher numbers as the sites are a little further from each other with lots of foliage separating them. Cement pad so completely level. No fire ring at site 150 but electric and water. Good spot if you are passing through or if you had kids and stayed in the more general area.

This park is beautiful and has tons of walking trails, as well as a beautiful beach. Great bike trails and free transportation to the beach! The downside (which is an important one to me): the bathroom situation. There is ONE bathhouse for the entire park, and it’s closed from 10:30-12pm daily for cleaning. If you’re on loop 103 it’s pretty easy and convenient to walk there, but not so much if you’re on any other loops. There used to be another bathhouse on the very first loop (near the laundry) that has been boarded up, with no indication that it will be reopened. This park stays full, so if you have multiple people trying to shower each day, you’ll prob want to utilize the public showers and will be best suited to stay close by. We stayed in space 127 and loved the location. One last item: fire rings are not provided and you’ll need to bring one with you if you would like to have a campfire.

What a treasure trove of surprises delivered by Topsail Hill. The Ranger's Office was highly efficient -- full hook-ups at every level site -- a private 3.5 mile white sand beach with massive dunes on the Gulf -- 3 huge fresh water lakes -- a nice cafe and park store -- and miles and miles of paved bike paths! Our Christmas vacation here exceeded our highest expectations. BTW if you have a Class C or A -- you may want to avoid site #27. We have a Class B and had no problem parking, but this site has 2 trees at the entry which may challenge entry for wider and longer RVs.

This is a state park with RV park like amenities like a pool, a coffee shop, bike/kayak rental shop, shuffleboard courts, a beach shuttle, full hook ups, and more. Unfortunately it also feels more like an RV park with tighter site spacing and less privacy particularly in sites 1-56. The loop with sites 101-168 has more vegetation and a more private feel. We were in spot 42 and could see at least 5 other rigs on all sides of us from our spot. The park has tons of bike trails that will take you to coastal dune lakes and the beach, so definitely bring your bikes. If you don’t plan to ride your bike or take the shuttle to the beach, it is walkable but a long walk (about 1 mile each way). There is nowhere in the park to drive your car and park right next to the beach. There is tons to do in the area with Destin only a few minutes away- outlet mall, big box stores, mini golf, gator places, beach bars, and more. Internet was adequate for working and streaming with both AT&T and Verizon. Laundry was $1.50/wash and $1.50/dry, bathhouses we’re clean and shower water got nice and hot.

This state park is gorgeous. Very clean and quiet. Staff and volunteers super helpful and friendly. camping is locate 0.5 to 1 mile of the beach depending on your site. Site #20 was 1 mile from the beach. Very pleasant and easy walk but if you may also take a tram that runs hourly. Coffee shop is great with wifi of 120mbps (if you seat close to the Park Office; there’s an outside table with power outlet there). Overall signal is great even on the beach (Verizon) Kids love the fishing ponds and even found a baby alligator which become the main attraction daily. Park is located close to stores, gas station, etc. full hookups with everything working great. Will definitely come back again if possible

Tented camped for a week. Plenty of space to set up your campsite as you wish. Friendly staff. Beautiful private beach. Facilities are clean. Quiet. Very safe for kids to walk around and bike. Close proximity to Walmart (for food, supplies, etc.). Campground store, located at the entrance, is great. I wish they had a drinks / ice cream shop down at the beach as well. I would definitely come back here. One zonk, or rather opportunity for improvement, is about the parking for tent campers. You cannot park the vehicle next to the camp site - depending on your tent site, it might be a ~100 yards or so. But you do need to carry all your gear from the parking area to the tent site. It is not such big of a deal in itself, but some families arrive with a trailer and park both the vehicle and the trailer at the parking area close to the tent sites, taking up two spots. This is particularly a problem when two (or three) families share one tent site and bring multiple vehicles - this means that sometimes we were forced to park further away from the closest parking area to our tent site. The campground should have a designated parking area for tent campers, where they can leave their trailers. For the same reason, they should also limit how many vehicles you can park close to your tent, and move the rest to an overflow area. Not a huge deal, but inconvenient a bit as we keep some of our things in the truck and want it accessible.

This is the ultimate 5/5 star campground, very well maintained. We walked to the beach everyday (shuttle available as well). The beach was one of the best we have been too. the bathrooms are spotless. We will be back!

So many things to love about this campground. Let me begin with the clean, mostly shaded, and mostly level campsites, that include sewer. The majority, but not all, have enough vegetation between sites to create some privacy. The grounds are well kept. Nice to have a coffee shop on site plus a small camp store. Looked like a nice laundry facility, but we did not use it. There's shuffleboard and horseshoe as well as a very small swimming pool (but smartly closed at this time due to COVID). We thoroughly enjoyed the pedestrian and bikes only paved roads to the beach (just less than a mile) and lake. A tram ran every 30 minutes from about 9 AM to 6 PM while we were there. Nighttime walks on these paths offered a chorus of sounds, from croaking and chirping frogs to the nocturnal Chuck-will's-widow. Saw deer near the path and a small alligator in one of the ponds. Folks were super friendly, including staff and campground hosts. The beach is as good as you'll find anywhere in Florida--white and fine grained. We explored the artificial reef that's 750 feet off the beach (called "Seahorse reef"). It was choppy (at least 12 MPH winds and 2-3 foot swells; yellow flag), so the visibility was poor but there are a lot of fish out there. The most interesting thing we saw was a harmless nurse shark. Verizon cellular service seemed really good through out the park and campsites EXCEPT our site (site 89). When hot-spotting my phone, download and upload speeds were 0.41 and .09 MBPS. My Verizon Jetpack did better (~4.0 and ~1.0 MBPS avg). When I sat at the amphitheater (or anywhere else), the signal was good enough for (many) flawless Zoom meetings.
