Decent halt at a reasonable cost. There's no on-site sewage system, but a waste disposal unit is available on the premises. The security team is both accommodating and amiable, which is beneficial as they manage the RV park. The downside and the reason they aren't rated 5 stars is the lack of a booking system. Their process involves either turning up and hoping for a vacant space or phoning half an hour prior to reaching and checking if any of their 8 spaces are free. Either way, after a long drive across the western part of Texas, securing a spot out of their 8 may be a game of chance, but then again, it's a casino.

We had anticipated plenty of recreational vehicle spaces upon our arrival, but to our disappointment, every spot was occupied on a Friday evening. The security personnel were cordial, albeit they informed us that they conduct a 4am check in the parking area for guests who haven't paid. No worries though... Off we go to Cabela's.

There are 10 spots available, each equipped with electricity and water for a nightly fee of $15. The security personnel are amiable and always on hand. The casino features an appealing eatery. The antenna provides access to 67 television stations. There's also a dump station for use. I'd definitely consider a return visit.

As we pulled into the parking lot security immediately drove up and guided us to a spot. Easy level pull through. Great overnight stop right by the horse race track.

Saw this place on Campendium but mistakenly thought it was accessible before entering Texas from New Mexico. If coming East on I-10, you enter El Paso and drive a few miles in before exiting and traveling south back into New Mexico before hitting the casino/racetrack/RV parking. It's only a few minutes drive and there are good gas and food options on that road too. Once you turn into the lot, you will see the 8 spots that have water and power and there is a dump station you can use in case your $hitter's full. We rolled up pretty late on a Thursday night (maybe 11pm?) and security immediately drove up in a golf cart and gave us instructions on how and where to register for the night inside the security office of the casino. They even offered to call the shuttle to take us the few hundred feet but we declined. It's all paved and level, and there were still 4 or 5 spots available (FCFS but there is truck parking right behind these spots in case you arrived and the hookups were full, you can still park your rig for the night dry). Power was good (50/30/20) and we cooled the camper down and got to sleep. The horse race track is about 150 feet north of the sites but we left early and didn't catch any races. We were going to sleep at one of the I-10 rest stops in El Paso or Van Horn but decided to give this place a try and it's definitely worth the $15. Looked like a good amount of people staying at the hotel and casino and we felt pretty safe there. I would recommend staying here overnight, and I wouldn't have any problem targeting this place for your overnight stop since there is plenty of overflow rig parking in case you don't get a hookup.

We parked here one night (Mar. 1) for $15. The spots were level so we could have stayed hooked up. We enjoyed watching the afternoon horseraces right from our 5th wheel and from their deck/patio. This is a quick stop off the interstates through El Paso and back into Las Cruces and not too noisy at all. There is water and electric at all 8 sites. Full Verizon bars and internet. You check in and pay at the security office in the casino with very nice people. We would stay here again.

We stayed here one night and enjoyed it. Our site 8 was looking out at the horserace track so we watched the afternoon races! The casino is small and restaurants aren't much. Camping with water and electric were definitely worth $15. Level sites so you don't have to unhook. Full Verizon signal.

Previous reviewer pretty much nailed it, it's exactly how they described it but I'm giving it 4-stars simply because it's the best deal in El Paso, even though that's not saying much. I had driven 8 hours and was ready to sleep in the Walmart or Cracker Barrel parking lot but saw the billboard for Sunland and figured I'd check it out. Was pretty pleased to find I could have electric and water hookups for $15 (cash only). There's only a few spots (8?) and they are first come, first served. It filled up when I was there on a Thursday night, so you may want a backup plan if you need hookups. You can call ahead and they'll tell you how many spots are left but they can go quickly. Security is very attentive and friendly. Fair amount of street noise, frequent train and super bright lights above the RV area. Decent casino and a bunch of food options both on the property and nearby. Also the RV area is right by the horse training area so you can watch them do their exercises in the morning before your 10am check out. For a quick overnight there's not a better price to be had in El Paso.

We ended up having to stay in the El Paso area for two nights. I checked and none of the RV sites were that appealing. The pictures of KOA made it look like a gravel lot and they wanted $40 a night. So though I knew this was a parking lot, at $15 a night it seemed like the best option. It's only about 2 miles from the freeway so access is easy. But don't expect much, basically the put power and water pedestals in the middle of their parking lot. They do have a free sewer dump but it is on the other side of the property, so I recommend dumping before you set up or as you leave (depends on your needs). Checking in was a bit of a process, as you have to do it at the security desk at the casino, a fair walk from the RV sites, especially on a 98 degree day. The security staff was SUPER friendly but they do require a copy of your ID and payment is IN CASH. I didn't realize that, and my laziness pushed me to just pull money out of the ATM their at the casino rather then walk back and forth across the hot parking lot to get cash from the RV. So their ATM and my bank fees for the ATM added $6 to my total cost. But still $18 a night seemed better then $40. I am not a big fan of casinos, but did take a lap through the casino there and it seemed rather clean and well kept. The restaurants appear to have a decent menu though we didn't eat at any of them. A big downside was the lighting. The parking lot is REALLY lit up, and since these spaces are right in the middle of the parking lot, you get lots of bright light. From a security perspective it is great, no one lurking in dark corners, but if you don't have dark window shades it is going to feel like daytime pretty much 24x7. The casino is not open 24 hours a day, but it is nice to see they take security seriously. One night I was up at 2am and another at 5am to walk the puppy. Both times I saw security driving around in their trucks. The place can be a bit noisy as it seems to be a popular place for trucks to park and there isn't a fantastic place for walking dogs, just some places that are doable. You are about 20 minutes to actual downtime El Paso, but within a few mile radius is every restaurant, big box store, etc. that you can think of. So you should be able to accomplish most any task or errand with ease. We never felt uncomfortable leaving the rig to go grab a bite to eat or run an errand. All in all I was not impressed with El Paso, it felt kind of junky to me (doesn't feel like a great descriptor but can't think of a better one) and there is a ton of construction. So I don't plan on going to El Paso again BUT if I do I would rather stay here for a few nights then an RV park that is only slightly more then a parking lot for more then double the price.

Stayed here Thanksgiving weekend and again for Christmas because it aligned with travel. This is a great spot! Best price around, 24 hour security is always on patrol, I boondock alot so that was a nice treat. Felt very safe. It’s a mile from a Target, the mall, Sprouts, everything you need really. Dump station on site. Didn’t even check out the casino, yelp reviews aren’t great to be honest lol but definitely recommend this for a stop over.

While traveling from Texas through El Paso on our way to California, this spot was a welcome site. In the Casino parking lot across from the race track with electric and water at the pull through site. Dump station available at the other end of the lot. We appreciated having a secure spot to stay in overnight with a restaurant in the casino. We wouldn’t stay there for any length of time, but it was a great stop over for sleeping. We would definitely use it again for a sleepover if needed while traveling across states.

Casino does not allow dry camping so you must pay for the night. Extremely level site with elec and water. 24 hour security. Nice casino with shuttle to drive you over if needed. Only 8 spaces so get there early.

This is a little row of hookup sites right next to the casino hotel. We were able to access the free hotel wifi pretty well from our spot. I asked the hotel front desk for the password and he was very friendly about it. The sites are pretty flat. Hookups only include electric and water. Beware keeping your water hose hooked up overnight. It apparently gets below freezing at night and ours froze. Noob mistake. There is a free sewer dump but you must drive all the way across the parking lot to the other side of the Casino to get to it. There are semis that will park here for a break so there is quite a bit of big rig noise until 10 or 11 pm and they leave quite early as well. The lot felt very safe with security doing rounds constantly. It was also well lit all night. Bring a sleep mask if you're sensitive to light at night. The area is also very close to all sorts of amenities. A shopping mall, Walmart, target, gas stations, great bbq joint called State Line all very nearby.

Casino and racetrack were closed to virtually had the place to ourselves. Only one other rig there at the time we stayed. There are spaces for EIGHT RV’s of our size. Water and 50 amp service at the site. Dump station working but located at the opposite end of the parking area so had to cross a dozen speed bumps and move some gates to have access to it. Still, nice, level and safe. A bit of noise from trains and traffic IF anyone is sensitive to that. Security folks were super friendly and helpful. Hope they can reopen soon. Looks like a great facility!

We needed a few days off the road in El Paso area and this was a very inexpensive way to have hook ups. First come first serve. The first night only a couple others, but the 2nd, they were all full. Security on site. Check in through the main casino lobby and pay/fill out form with the security office- very easy. We picked our space, parked then walked in to register. Felt safe, lights everywhere, security stops by to say hi. Great internet and close to town amenities. Would stay here again.
