Nice park, close to the drug store, used GS discount. Pad had full hookups. Big dog run, all gravel, their WiFi was good. Girl at check-in was friendly.

Very civilized here. Every site is a generous pull through. Good Sam discount gave us a rate of $33. Electric only. We stayed three nights. Clean bathrooms, small laundry. A pool for the kiddies. The Badlands are worth at least two days. Check in was easy. You can walk to Wall Drug and the Buffalo Gap National Grasslands Visitor's Center. It had been very rainy, and there were some mud puddles in the campground. Not much you can do about that...... The proprietor, when asked about where to shelter in the event of a tornado warning, offered his basement. That's what I call service. There are train tracks right next door, and one night there was a diesel engine running loudly for about two hours. The other two nights were quiet.

We usually travel in our trailer and would stay here again in the trailer for the location. This time we're tent camping across the country and would not stay here again in the tent. It's a fairly quiet clean park in walking distance to Wall Drug. Our spot was in full sun on a hot day in a non mowed area. It was one of the 2 electric sites. The mosquitoes were horrible. Made Florida at its worst look great. They were even attacking at 6am. The showers and bathrooms were clean, although at the very opposite end of the park from the tent spots with low water pressure and not quite hot water. Pool was pretty dirty looking and playground wasn't much. Next door is a grain silo. My son loved that! It was clean and quiet but the mosquitos and super slick mud after it rained made it hard to want to come back in a tent. Would come back in the trailer with our own amenities, though! Big rig friendly

Close to Wall Drug, an interesting destination in itself, and not far from the northern entrance to Badlands National Park. Easy check-in and mostly-level pull-through sites make setting up a breeze. Not much in the way of trees or shade so be prepared for the sun’s heat. Mosquitoes were an absolute nightmare - I lived in Florida and those mosquitoes have nothing on the ones in Wall, SD. For dog lovers the roughly 80’x80’ fenced area is a great place for Fido to stretch his legs & there is a small playground for kids, if you bring enough bug spray. The pool was green and didn’t look like it had been taken care of in recent weeks. Laundry is sufficient with 3 washers (1 out of order) and 3 dryers; $1.25 wash & $1.25 dry (30 mins to start and 16 min/quarter thereafter). Simple and convenient items in the office for purchase. Biggest negative is the mud after any amount of rain. The sites seem to have been created by scraping off the layer of grass then spreading some gravel which essentially creates a pit for water to flow into. Several sites showed deep tire tracks and potential areas to get stuck. They would be well served to bring in extra dirt then add a layer of gravel on top so the sites are more raised. I also with the hookups were more central as opposed to at the very back of the pull-in. Overall it was worth the $38 (GS discount) or so to spend the night on my cross country. One more negative for the mosquitoes.

Overall, we liked this place. It was large, green, and sites were easy to get in and out of. They had a nice fenced in area for dogs to play and a small pond to walk around. Trees ring the perimeter of the campground and there is farmland in the distance. There weren't many guests while we were there and the front desk was nice enough to space guests out so no one felt crowded. While some sites were rutted and uneven, ours was good and because the sites are set diagonal to the roads, we weren't looking right in our neighbors' windows or anything, which was nice. The location was perfect for us to see everything we wanted to see. We'd definitely stay here again.

Price reflects full hook-up, 50 amp, pull-thru site. Our site was gravel and fairly level with a small tree. Sites are fairly narrow but typical for independent campground. Great spot for visiting Badlands, Minuteman Missile Site and Wall Drug. (Wall Drug within walking distance.) Campground was busy but quiet at night. Nice dog run. Check in was quick and friendly and they have a nice little store. Bathrooms and showers had good water pressure and were impeccably clean. There’s a small swimming pool, too. Wi-fi available but we had great service with our own. We’d come back. NOTE: Right now the mosquitoes are insane - probably from all the water SD has received this summer. Be prepared and take care of your pets, too

Close proximity to Wall drug and the Badlands. However the park could use some attention. Potholes and huge ruts made it difficult to maneuver. Site size was decent. Showers are tiny and water is warm but not hot. Was not impressed with employee attitude when we arrived. Overall was just ok.

We needed a spot near The Badlands NP to call our home base while we worked remotely during the day and explored the spot at night. Overall this met our needs. We ended up with a spot on the end of a row close to the office so it made the WiFi actually accessible (but not usable enough for working... casual internet browsing was fine). Walking distance to Wall Drug and the main street in Wall. Really easy access to the highway. One thing to note, while each RV site had a picnic table, they didn't have a fire ring at each site - but there are some that can be shared. The spots were varying in their degrees of level/potholes. Ours was great. We did not use the showers, laundry or pool, but the pool looked a bit gross to me. The office had a little camp store which is always nice in a pinch. I really loved the dog area for the dogs to stretch their legs. It's in the back and fairly large. I would definitely return to RV camp but not tent camp. There are just too many mosquitoes in the area to be comfortable tent camping and the ground too low to get dry enough.

We work on the road and site 8 was right by a repeater and we were shocked at how good the wifi was our entire stay! We used this campground as home base to explore Wall, Buffalo Gap and the Badlands. It is also an easy gorgeous drive to Rapid City if you want to trek that far. The dog park was great and people were friendly. The sites themselves were decent. Everything you'd expect with a gravel, pull thru, full hookup site. They were closer to neighbors than we prefer but it met our needs.

We’ve been RVing for 6 years, this is the first time we’ve left and asked for our money back. Started with the attendant working the office. Possibly she was having an off day, I’m not sure...but she was very unfriendly. The site we had reserved had trees on both sides of the pad and they both needed to be trimmed back. She acted very surprised when I asked if we could change sites, as we didn’t want to scratch the sides of our rig. She told me that she had never received such a request and that they were full. We managed to pull in at a strange angle to avoid the branches, we unhitched and then tried to connect power and water; both utilities were not functioning properly, so I went to the office. It was 6:10p, she had closed at 6p. Tried calling the office, was unable to leave a message and there was no after hours number on the recording. Looked on the door, no after hours number. We left and sent an email and FB message, requesting a full refund. To their credit, they did issue the refund. The property itself was very worn down. The (very) small pool was closed for Covid 19 and the playground equipment was in dangerous need of repair. Wall Drug is a fun stop, but they have plenty of RV parking. Next tine we’ll stop for an hour or two and then sleep a couple of hours down the road or boondock on federal land.

Wish there was a little more shade at the campsites but otherwise it was a great stay! Clean showers, good cell signal, friendly staff, easy access. Within walking distance to Wall Drug mall/restaurant/gift shop if you should find yourself so inclined. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

At the last minute, we decided to overnight in Wall SD as it was very hot for boondocking. We found Sleepy Hollow and we weren’t disappointed. We got a electric/water gavel site which was just a little low in the front. The campground was full by the end of the night. We had 37 OTA TV channels and ATT was 2 bars with 12 up and 6 down for speeds. Very close to downtown Wall so you can check out the tourist trap!

Can't really add much more than what Gary said below. It is a good park in a good location to many things worth visiting. A train did come spend the day (tooting it;s horn from time to time) at the huge grain silos just outside the RV park. Beyond that, it was a nice place to keep cool in the mid-west summer heat.

You've seen the signs all along the highways and by-ways. VISIT WALL DRUG. This is THE place of that fame. If it weren't for Wall Drug there wouldn't be anything here. The park is grass with gravel pull throughs. All connections were easy to get to. There are a mix of FHU and EW sites. Ours was an EW. While there are train tracks on the east side of the park we didn't hear a single train while we were there. Great location to visit Wall Drug. Also for a more somber reminder of American History there is the Wounded Knee the Museum which has the history of the Lakota and the tragedy at Wounded Knee. Also a jump off point to go down into the Badlands and Buffalo Gap Grasslands. If you are heading west you can also visit the Minuteman National Park museum. Go down into a former Minuteman II missile silo launch capsule and then see a launch site.

This is just like many other RV parks where you are crammed in next to your neighbor and have no privacy. It was fine though for a 2 night stay to visit the Badlands and also Wall Drug. Nice to have access to full hookups for a couple of days also in between stays at nicer state parks. Verizon coverage was good here also. It's very easy in and out and close to the interstate.

We stayed here for two nights in early October as we heard it was close to Badlands and clean. It was not only both of these things but a quiet area off the beaten path and the grounds made for a relaxing morning walk with our dog. Laundry on site was great and the staff was very kind and helpful. The only thing I wish is that the spots were better marked with a light to find at dark when coming back from laundry/bath house. All in all we feel our money was well spent here as we knew it was safe, quiet and close to the things we wanted to explore around Wall.

We were hoping to boondock down the road overlooking the Badlands but temps were slated to be 96 degrees (late August) so we opted for a last minute plan B. It came down to Sleepy Hollow or Arrow in Wall. I'm glad we picked Sleepy Hollow. After driving through Arrow, we definitely picked the better of the two. Not a whole lot to say about this CG. They have lots of options/pricing depending on what kind of hookups you need. Pricing was cheap for 30a full hookups. Pool was kinda dumpy, but with it being in the high 90s, the kids enjoyed a dip. They have a small store with a few basics. Employees were friendly. Bathrooms old and dumpy. It's a pretty old and run-down CG but it was pleasant enough for our stay. It's 2 blocks from Wall Drug if you're into that (we went but were overwhelmed by its cheesiness). Flat sites, some super-close together. All-in-all, I'd stay here again if I had to but if the weather were more temperate, I would've much rather stayed closer to the park. There is a grocery store in Wall that's small but not too bad.

This is a pleasant place to stay over to explore The Badlands and to get a look see at Wall Drug. It is quiet and there is a nice dog run and enough property to walk around. The sites have gravel to park on with grass surrounding the site. Reasonably level and enough room between sites to be comfortable. There are very few trees so plenty of room for slides/awnings. They do have WiFi but the further you are from the office the weaker it is. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The price I paid was for W/E only and does not include tax. There is a central dump station but the set up is inconvenient in that a user blocks the driveway for others to get by on their way out. Locals told me ATT coverage is poor around Wall, SD, most use Verizon. My ATT coverage was almost non existent around town.

Clean and well maintained! Sites are a bit close for us; however, this is typical for private RV Parks! Great location for visiting Wall Drug, Badlands National Park, National Grasslands, and Minuteman Missile Site! WIFI worked well (much better than typical RV parks) and Cable TV (71 channels) worked well! Previous descriptions of Campground and Amenities are good! Verizon was strong! Would stay again!

Centrally located and one of the only games in town but it's truly just ok. Sites are on top of each other. It's a great base camp for the Badlands but we will boondock or try another spot next time. This is really only if you must have the full hookup otherwise I would try elsewhere.

Stayed 8/18/20.  This campground is within walking distance of Wall Drug.  It is also in close proximity to Badlands National Park.  We stayed in a full hookup.  The facilities could use some updating.  Our site was clean though and our one night stay was quiet.  It is sufficient for an overnight stay.

This campground doesn’t offer all it promises, there wasn’t a pool available and the wifi is pretty spotty. The dog park was excellent. The power 30/50 amp was consistent. About 1/2 of the campsites don’t have septic, but most of the campers are there only 1-2 nights. Sites are pretty close to one another, but we expected that. When coming into the campground use exit 109 and not 110. You wouldn’t want to navigate your RV through Main Street. There is train activity early am and early evening. Wall Drug is walking distance and the badlands park is just south of town. We also went to the Minute Man Missle Museum while we were there.

Last minute reservation so 30 amp is all they had. Great location and good-sized dog park. We have no slide outs, but noticed a few sites had trees obstructing some rigs’ slides.

I'm throwing the three stars because when it was good it was pretty good, and when it wasn't, it wasn't. The good: - Convenient to town. - Friendly staff. (with exceptions; see below) - Easy in and out from I-90. - Well-equipped camp store. The opportunities for improvement: - They lean hard on the "Heated Pool" but (see photo) it doesn't live up to expectations. - Nothing approaching shade in most sites. And the Dakota sun can be brutal. - Many sites don't have full hookups, but you pay basically the same for sites that do. - I've paid a lot less and received a lot more at many other campgrounds. One thing that irked me from the start. Their website has no information about check-in and check-out times. I pulled in around noon and was very rudely told I needed to leave and come back after 1PM. Noted was that a) my reserved spot was empty; b) lots of other spots were empty, too. I asked if I could just pull in to my spot and settle up after 1PM but I was pretty much told, Go somewhere else; maybe there are empty spots in the Wall Drug parking lot. To be honest, this didn't make the best possible first impression and I would have cancelled my stay were it not for having been prepaid and non-refundable at this point.

Sites are a bit close together, but very quiet and nice campers. Bathrooms and showers were very clean, which is our number one take on campgrounds. Easy walk to downtown too. Would highly recommend when traveling off the interstate for a good night rest and checking out the area...

We were dispersed camping overlooking the badlands when the rain and extreme winds was more than we can handle. To compound our crisis we had a broken leaf spring on the trailer. When the leaf springs were being replaces the mechanic said 3 of the tires were separating. A tire shop could not get our tires until Monday and the campground was closing on Saturday for the season. Michael at the tire shop contacted the owner of the campground and help arrange a 2 day extension.
