This little place is right off the main road along the side of a tennis/basketball court fence. The spots are level and grassy. There are 3 electrical hookups, 2 on the side and one bigger one in the back by the alley way. The back one has a dumpster close by and the only place to fill up with water. It was the best spot for us as our front yard was a lovely little park for our kids to play at! Many slides, swings, a merry-go-round. This small town is quiet and the people are friendly. We had a few delicious meals at the little diner across the street and also enjoyed some snow cones down the street. We visited Lake Mackenzie and Caprock Canyon State Park during our stay. Would definitely stay again. 💙🤙🏼

Silverton Municipal Park on Hwy 86 in Silverton, TX has 3-4 50 Amp sites and potable water is available. Sites are level, and gravel. Easy access from Hwy 86. Park has a very nice playground. You can walk across the street and eat at Something Different by Kay. There are a couple of more small restaurants in town. Lovely Courthouse & Library. One gas station. No grocery store available.

This is the second time this summer we have camped at the city park overnight for a couple of days while in town seeing family/friends while driving through on our way to other destinations. Park is right on main highway so it's easy in/out. You just roll in, put down jacks, put out slides and hook up electrical. Don't have to check in with anyone. There is a restaurant across the road if you don't feel like cooking or a coffee/tea house in the art gallery on the town square. Yes there is some road noise, but not unacceptable for free electrical when you need to crank up the AC/heat or cook. Sites are level gravel.

We made it to Silverton and tried to hook up at this neat little city park. The three power pedestals are still there, but we were unable to get power from one of them. We did not try any of the others as one was broken (50 amp) and the other was too close to the intersection for us to feel comfortable. You may still be able to dry camp here, but we’ve decided to press on. Side note: on this warm, humid summer evening, there were MANY mosquitoes!
