The employees are extremely affable, and the fauna is astonishing. The cost is $29.00.

It doesn't have all the amenities of a fancy resort. But it's nice and quiet. You have wildlife and nice trails. Friendly staff. Overall good time. We also get 5g with Verizon here.

Full Hook ups for $26! Beautiful and quiet (campers, not birds, but we liked the birds) and there was a train as some others said but it did not bother us. Easy in and out but WATCH OUT FOR THE SPEED BUMPS. They were really hard to see as it got dark and really brutal. Laundry was fine and got the job done ($2). Cell service was good and I was able to work without issue. Close to the Jetty park with great view of the ocean and sunrise.

We LOVED our stay at Savannahs Recreation Area. Only 15 minutes to Jetty Park. The Park itself is impeccable. Staff was friendly. The sites were spacious and offered privacy. Very reasonably priced!

Affordable RV camping doesn’t get much better than what we found at Savannas Recreation Area. It is hard to beat a full-hookup 30/50 amp campsite with WIFI for $25.89 per night in high season located just 11 miles from Atlantic beaches in south Florida. This is one of the most affordable RV camping locations we have found in Florida with full hookups. Savannas Recreation Area in Fort Pierce, Florida offers a sprawling natural area, stunning scenic beauty, and both full-hookup and tent camping at an unbeatable price. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 43.6 Mbps download speed and 3.26 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 54.0 Mbps download speed and 1.88 Mbps upload speed. T-Mobile cellular service clocked in at 21.6 Mbps download speed and 9.27 Mbps upload speed.

Yes you can hear the trains, and the birds will wake you early-but a lovely, well kept campground with everything you need for a comfy stay! If you back up to the marsh the proximity of sites isn’t an issue as one has a sense of space....however, there are less desirable sites that would really change one’s experience....

We stayed here for a week in January 2021. Our reservation was taken over the phone the previous July with nothing but verbal confirmation, making us a little uneasy. But we had a site when we arrived. A big plus to this park is the price. $29 for full hook ups, less if you reserve long-term. Another plus is the location. The park is in the middle of a marsh. There is a 3 mile bike trail, hiking trails, kayak and canoe rentals (inexpensive) and close proximity to Savannas Preserve State Park. If you are a nature-lover, this place is for you. My main complaint about this park is that you can't reserve a particular site. There are some gorgeous sites that back up to the water, but we weren't able to get one - even though they remained empty for most of our visit. The site you get is up to the discretion of the scheduler. You can request a site backing up to the preserve, but nothing is guaranteed. The smaller your unit, the less likely you will get one of those sites. Sites V1 - V9 are quite small. V10-17 are a little larger. G section is somewhat secluded, off on its own. Sites with just numbers are the largest. If you plan to use a tent, the tent area is on a little isthmus away from the other sites. Reviews have mentioned the train traffic. This SE Florida and if you are near Route 1, you are near the tracks. Personally, I like the sound of trains - but I also bring ear plugs. More noisy than the trains are the birds. If you love birds as I do, you'll be happy when they squak at 5AM. I felt like I was in a Tarzan movie and loved it. The park was about 60% Floridians and 40% snow birds when I was there. After 9PM it was extremely quiet (except for trains and birds!).

We stayed her for 6 nights in early January 2021. We enjoyed our stay. Full hookups and coin operated laundry facilities on site were convenient. All sites had fire rings. There is nice paved walking/biking path. They also have canoe and kayak rentals available for $5 an hour. There were some cons - sites were pretty close together, and showers weren't always hot. There are busy railroad tracks nearby, so if you're bothered by noise, this might bother you. Overall, it was a good place to stay. We'd return in the future.

We stayed here November 5-9th. Had planned on staying through the week, but glad we did not. Spot V15 was in a row of gravel/shell spots in an open field. They did have full hook ups, but the hook ups were in the front of the spot, making it difficult to attach unless you have long hoses. The spot was short and narrow, so it was difficult to put our 22 ft trailer and our truck in the spot without moving the picnic table and again, staying attached to the hook ups. There are train tracks nearby and we could hear them all day and night. Kinda takes away from the atmosphere. We were also there during Tropical Storm Eta so there was lots of rain. So much that the spots were flooding and our neighbors left to a hotel because it was so bad. There’s just no place for the water to drain, so it flooded most of the area. There was a very nice laundry facility which we utilized and a decent bath house. There is wifi offered, but it is very spotty at best. There were folks that were staying there for months, but I would say this is an overnight or weekend only spot.

This recreational area is a nice spot to camp at a very affordable price. I stayed here in the peak winter season where rates are always high in south Florida so getting a $28 rate was appreciated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ground are well kept as well as the facilities. The laundry room was clean and nice as was the bathroom and shower area. The bathrooms and showers did get out of hand on the weekend because of the general public traffic. It is a public park too and you get a lot of non-campers in on the weekend. The park is very pet friendly. Animals on leashes every where and they have two fenced in non-leash areas for pets. The sites along the canal offer a decent view but they are all very close together. You do have room to park a vehicle between units and put out your awning. The canal around the lake was active with canoes and kayaks every day and then park offers canoe rentals. There is a golf course along one side of the campground and they do have a warning/disclaimer about possible golf ball damage. The only thing separating that side of the camping from the golf course is a thin row of trees and shrubs. There were plenty of campers there and I asked a few if they had any issue with golf balls and they both said no. The sites all have electric, water and sewer as well as a camp dump station. The only negative to this location is very loud trains at night. They came through once or twice each night and were very loud

This is a terrific campground. I stayed in an undeveloped tent site. Bathrooms were close by, security patrols, tons of wildlife, warm (not actually hot) showers. The WiFi is spotty unless you are near n of the buildings, inexpensive laundry ($1.50) and generally nice people here. I was planning a 2-day stop over, stayed 9 days! I's also conveniently located near Hutchinson Island beaches. Go south and hit Stuart Beach or Jensen, pretty good spots. The beaches have charcoal grills, picnic tables, bathrooms the works. I enjoyed my stay here, I'LL BE BACK!

We give this campground 5 stars because the pluses are huge - in our book totally outweighing the minuses. The first plus was our site - right on the bank of a marshy waterway, with a view that didn't stop. Another was the birds that are everywhere. Moor hens, herons large and small, egrets, ibis, and all sorts of small birds along with 2 sandhill cranes that hang out at the campground. There are also baby alligators and turtles. The kayaking looked to be excellent with kayaks and canoes available at a very reasonable rate. There is also a lovely concrete walking/bicycling path that heads out for a mile through the marsh. We were able to walk it several times. For pet owners, there is a dog park. Now for the rest of the story. The campsites are pretty close together with little vegetation or privacy. There are numerous snowbirds there for the winter, but everyone was very friendly and with the terrific "backyard" we didn't mind the closeness. Also the bathhouse is old, but clean. Sites 6-26 are on the marsh. Sites 35-48 back up to marsh and trees, but beyond that is a golf course. There is a warning about stray golf balls - not good sites for an Airstream! Reservations are accepted, but unfortunately not for specific sites. So it may take a little luck, but the reward is a campsite with a beautiful, peaceful view. Verizon coverage was strong. A side note - be sure and visit the nearby Navy Seal museum in Fort Pierce! Plan at least a half day.
