A few months prior, we lodged at this location for our inaugural visit. Despite the unpleasant and chilly climate, there was an abundance of entertainment options available for the children. The personnel were thoroughly involved with youngsters from various age groups. The grounds were tidy, featuring an appealing playground and washroom facilities. Additionally, there was an enormous bounce pad and fishing opportunities.

The county needs to look at widening the 2lane hwy our camper and truck were literally sitting on the white and yellow lines. The park turn off is very well marked with a large sign and even large reflective arrow for after dark arrivals BUT the black top road is barely a car 1/2 wide and if your camper encounters another vehicle someone has to pull over to the side to safely pass, rather rutted road also. The grounds are nicely tucked off the road but roads in the campground need a grater taken to them desperately! As others have said most sites are permanent campers and are not all the nicest looking. Our site would have been ok, other than a very tight squeeze to back it in between trees and yard decor or the permanent sites across from us but it stunk of sewer as our particular site did Not have a cap on the hook up! 🤢. There was wi-fi at the office but didn’t reach our camp site in the 90s. Park needs to upgrade their electrical supply. It was a very hot weekend and we had to suffer with little to no A/C as our A/C breaker kept tripping (it ran fine both before and after at home) glad we had our surge protector to plug into to protect the camper. Also found it very suspicious that we made our reservations online and within 24hrs we had 2bogus charges on our card (a card that is not often used) called bank and had new card issued! Fortunately we have a text alert set up on that acct or it very well may have gone longer unnoticed!

We had a great stay here! There is a lot of different sites to accommodate most RVs. Plenty to do for the kids - lots of programming! Very nice and helpful staff. Fishing from the bank, swimming, bike riding, playground, laser tag, bingo, bathhouse, etc. Lots of green space here! Close to grocery and laundromat in Staunton or Litchfield. FHU.

We scouted this campsite out and we’re really happy when pulling in to the front building. They have a nice pool, a big trampoline, and a nice lake, however when we drove around to check out the sites we were saddened to find that most of the sites are occupied by permanent campers. There’s really no organization to the sites. It seems like they just put site numbers where ever they could fit an rv between the trees. They are all cramped and some of the trailers are really run down looking (especially toward the back of the camp). We decided not to stay. This seems like a trailer park instead of a campground.
