Very nice campground. With my senior pass, it was only 13.00 a night for electric and water hookups. There are six pull through sites with full hookups, but all spaced together, no shade, and no water view. Most of the other sites are shaded, except a few next to the water, and most also have a shelter over the picnic table. There are a few double sites. Some sites are a little too close together, but the trees help maintain a feeling of privacy. There are a few full hook up sites spaced in the electric and water sites. The bathrooms were old and in need of an update, but were fairly clean. Park is in the Waco city limits.

Camping site was good, paved and level. However, overall grounds showing some age and bathrooms are definitely in need of updating. Location is convenient to downtown Waco so it is still worth the stay. Traffic noise was not an issue from our site.

Nice place to camp site 7 is a little tough to back a 40 ft fifth wheel into but doable lake side. Next time through I would stay longer.

Our site was close to the road/highway. Others have complained about the noise, but it didn't bother us. We stayed in one of the limited sites with 50 amps. All other sites are 30 amps. So we didn't have a choice of where to camp since we needed 50 amps. However the 50 amp sites are all full hookups. The campground is fairly small. Prior flooding caused an overflow of the lake so some lake view spots were closed along with the boat launch and parking. No boaters were allowed during our stay and in my opinion, kayaking was questionable. The bathhouse was fairly clean, bu there was a prevalence of gnats. Probably typical for this time of year. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The campground is very close to attractions such as: Magnolia Market Silos, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, The Branch Davidian Compound, Dr. Pepper Museum, Balcones Distillery, and Waco Mammoth National Monument. Gas/Diesel station is very close by, along with H.E.B., and Walmart. Overall, a nice place to camp, but it would have been better if we could have taken our kayak out -- especially to get some needed exercise.

Another Great COE but this is the tightest I believe we have been for a COE. Sites 5-13 over look Waco Lake and the sunsets are awesome. Most of the sites will need some blocking and some are slopped up to a level pad. The park is close to all stores for all your needs. Sites are clean with fire pits, & covered picnic tables. FYI, in the afternoon you may hear a loud roar sometimes very loud. The roar is coming from the Space X rocket testing facility in McGregor not far away. Highway 6 is next to the park but we really did not hear any major highway noise. Sites 6-8 are kind of clustered together but not bad. There are 27 back in RV sites with electric and wahruster. 6 pull-thru's Some site do have sewer 18,21,22&24. Enjoy, #themorgansonthemove

A little hard to get to due to construction on I-35, but worth the effort. Nice, quiet site by a beautiful lake.

Sites are nice. Paved with water and 30 amp. Dump station on way out. Our site was a short walk to Lake Waco. Not the prettiest lake but the campground was a nice base to see Waco 10 minutes away. Site 7 was almost too narrow for our 45’ MH. Site 1-6 and 8 would have been better but 7 was only one available. Still, for the $, I think COE’s are terrific.

We reached our destination post sundown and successfully reversed into our spot. A pair of amicable individuals showed up to provide assistance and suggestions. The restrooms were tidy, albeit unheated. The sound from the street was not discernible from within our recreational vehicle.

Stayed at site 6. Has electric and water hookups. I car camped in my jeep. I arrived around 6:30 pm and had just reserved a spot about 30 minutes prior on recreation.gov. I was surprised but the gatehouse was still attended. Staff was very nice. Nice and clean restrooms and showers. There is a gate that’s locked around 10 pm. Lake is low but it appeared the boat launch was still operating. Very quiet atmosphere, yet there were plenty of other campers.

We stayed in site 9 which was back in up a bit of a ramp, but it was flat at the top. We were right next to the playground which the kids loved. Sites are electric and water. There are some sites at the front near the road, but the main loop had no noticeable road noise. Sites by water have a beautiful sunset view but some of them are very close to each other. The only negative we noticed was a lack of soap in the restroom. We had no issues with cell signal but I didn't take note, so I marked it as 3 bars.

The campground is close to Waco while being on Lake Waco. Notable is you are near the Highway 6 bridge with noise from the cars on the road. This was not bothersome to us but could be to others. We also drove through Speegleville campground which has great sites and no road noise but you are 4 miles further out. The sites are well maintained. Our site was very level with pavement. We greatly enjoyed the time sitting out and watching the lake. Sunset was quite pretty. I suspect a strong west wind could come off the lake and make the site quite breezy but that was not the case when we were there. Did not look at the bathrooms. Building looked newer on the outside.

This was good for driving into Waco to visit the Magnolia shops. Our site did have a nice view of lake. However we had reserved site 2 that was supposed to have a shaded picnic table only to find out that it was rotted, along with a bunch of other shade structures. We moved to site 1 that sorta had a cover. Can’t say this was the best run A.C.E. Park we’ve stayed at but it was convenient.  Good to know: No heat in bathrooms Site 2 cover rotted Waco Mammoth National Monument is a nice stop. Bare Arms Brewery, good beer, nice people. Have the Lemon Lavender cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery

Lots of birds singing and squirrels chasing each other. The view from our site was amazing. An early spring cool breeze kept us cool. Quiet park.

Small campground but nice. Boating, fishing, playground, clean bathrooms. Good variety of sites. Appreciated having full hookup available. It’s also pretty close to Waco attractions but you will need a car to get around. Enjoyed my stay!

Nice campground, good price. Campground is right on Lake Waco. Really great sunsets. No hiking trails here but there appear to be some along the lake close by. $30 fee was cut in half with Golden Age Pass. $15 for full hookup, you can't beat that with a stick!

Nice small park by the lake. Sites were a bit closer than I expected. No privacy or trees around/between campsites. Lots of trees around the lake. Could hear some road noise. Planned to stay 2 nights but had AC issues in our trailer. Stayed in site 1 - it’s right on the water and close to the boat ramp and main gate. Seemed like a lot of people driving around at all hours of the night.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving. We were fortunate to have a site by the lake. Family camped next to us in site 7 which was also nice but site 6 had tent campers who set up directly behind the pad for site 7. Blocked any view and felt like they were camping with us even though they had room to set up in several other places. Awkward. Besides that it was a nice location. Fairly level pads, fire pits and nice picnic tables - some are covered. There are no full hookups along the loop, only along the side near the roadway. Dump station was easy to get into with our rigs. Playground was closed. No trails. Some highway traffic could be heard at times but not annoyingly loud.

If you can book spots 1-7, the view of the lake looks well worth it. But the facility is lackluster. Shower is too cramped. It would have been ok if the stall space is for single but they split it into 2. During covid-19 or after it is uncomfortable to share the shower room. But the lack of soap when you need to wash your hands is not good public safety practice. Covid or no.

Small Campground, spacious sites well maintained with lots of walking near by. Some construction noise currently (April 2021) and in the evening we heard SpaceX engines testing (or the worlds loudest RV furnace. Overall We would stay here again...even with the bathhouse being disgustingly dirty and broken...use your RV bathroom instead
